So you just get a list...
While baby played this morning, I put away her clothes and our clothes.
While she napped, I:
- wiped out microwave
- did dishes
- prepped crock pot for dinner
- put away dishes in dishwasher and from sink
- emptied litter box
Now eating. Will update as day continues. Need to plan meal fortomorrow (Thai curry) and Wednesday (unknown), register bean for swimming lessons, share her Christmas wish list, book a family photo (will wait for Hubby's input since he needs to be there too).... The list goes on!
- made a dessert bar from Eagle Brand recipe book. Very chocolaty!
- took recycling out to garage
- filled out insurance paperwork for dental claim (which may not have been necessary, but I'll mail it away anyway)
- watched some Father Brown with baking/cooking
- unsubscribed from a few emails
- did a few surveys
- chatted with neighbour
Tonight I'm out at an event that starts at 8pm. Hubby may have to put bean to bed all by himself. I hope it goes well!
I should be napping while she naps but after a while I just can't sleep - sun is up and brain is thinky.

Went to Mother Goose with Little Miss today; it was lots of singing with actions and I think she liked it. Will try to go a few times a week as it's also Wednesday's and Fridays.
Trying to get things done around house. Slowly but surely I guess, though I'd love to be faster!
Tomorrow will see the second and hopefully final cost of paint on the tea hutch, meaning once i shop for new knobs and some organizing things for it, it'll be done. Goal was end of the month so going on target here.
Today I cleaned my desktop (computer), took the leaf out of the table (the less flat surface the less we can pile = better organized and cleaner house), tossed a deteriorating bath mat and vacuumed up the dust, put a few more things into donate, took out recycling and green bin. I also made homemade wipes solution for baby's bum, and am making a cleaning solution for shower that hopefully works (blue dawn and vinegar). We shall see.
I'm not sure what other little things I can get done today. Hopefully laundry. Need to wash her cloth diapers. And desperately need more... She only has enough for one day!
Will also make Xmas lists for baby and ideas for other relatives so we can get some shopping out of the way slowly as it draws near bc I don't want to battle crowds with a baby.
Sooo excited for hutch to be done... Can't wait for the cascade of things that can happen next!

Trying to be productive and get little Miss's room ready for painting this weekend. Haven't made as much headway on that as I wanted but did get other stuff done. Errands can be a pain when you have to put a baby in a carrier every 10 minutes. Or maybe I'm just lazy.
- baby stuff got dropped off to donation centre for young mothers
- Costco for soda and water but they didn't have the soda I wanted
- tried to reserve in store an item that said was available online but turns out it really wasn't (took 2h to hear back, so that delayed my errands)
- had bath with baby
- tried out new breast pads
- changed clothes bc it leaked lol
- watered plants
- made rocky road squares
- made dinner (zucchini noodles with peas and pesto, fried sausages, salad)
- ordered corn for corn boil next weekend
- emailed ppl about Kijiji items; one got picked up, another is going tomorrow
- did dishes
- made more iced coffee
- emailed an export of data to someone
- read some book as baby napped in carrier
- posted to baby group about where I could buy something; now to investigate said retailers
- chose color for baby's room (required hubby's input)
- refilled cat's water fountain
Bonus was having hubby walk with baby in carrier to put her to sleep. Gave me a break but also is teaching me not to respond immediately to her cries, and she will learn that daddy can calm her down too.
Friday, I need to:
- find and verify that hole filler putty is still good (otherwise buy more)
- move stuff out of baby room (what I can, anyway)
- wash walls
- fill holes
- sand filler, and poorly sanded fills from previous owners
- get paint tinted (bring cans) and buy another roller and tray
- say goodbye to bookshelf (yay!)
- review numenera adventure and make notes for first GM experience
If possible, petsmart for litter and scratching pad.
Going to bed early - so tired!

Feeling pretty good and productive today. Didn't get to everything on the list but that's okay.
We accomplished, in no particular order:
- raisin cinnamon bread
- Starbucks Happy hour
- mouse trap and poison purchasing
- setting up traps and poison
- cleaning under stairs bc of mice. This meant removing everything, vacuuming and wiping, then putting it back.
- putting stuff back also allowed us to put more under the stairs, so other kitchen boxes and items went there (crockpot, toaster oven, etc). And it's nice and organized!
- stuff got sorted for goodwill, other stuff recycled and other stuff trashed.
- moved stuff for goodwill to a single pile that will hopefully get dropped off tomorrow before an appointment at 1230.
- Costco run, and groceries run.
- a nice afternoon nap.
- Sunny made homemade pizza. Delicious.
- dishes for handwashed.
- an AN email sent.
- Mother's Day phone calls
- visiting with neighbours
- assembling another fan for house use
- battery change in clock
- phone call with midwife to arrange things for tomorrow's appointment
- setting up a wire shelving system to help sort the piles of clothes on the closet shelf (sunnys side - too many bulky sweaters and stuff). Shelf will go up tomorrow.
I think that's it for now. I'm hoping being so busy brings on labour!
Tomorrow is going to be busy, too:
- goodwill trip (requires loading car)
- appointment at 1230
- picking up mom at airport
- booking flights and hotels for weddings
- AN judges emails
- closet organizing thing for sweaters and pants

shower
groceries

laundry - might have to wait until Sunday. Or I'll start loads after dinner as we're going out.
and more I'm forgetting....
To do:
Feeling decently productive today. Trying hard to stay on too of the cleaning we did for Christmas dinner, as keeping it tidy is easier than cleaning it all again in the dirt place. Goals in that regard are to empty dishwasher ASAP so it can be easily reloaded, and keep sink dishes emptied. Oh, and take out recycling ASAP instead of letting it build.
Today, despite sleeping in, I did:
- cleaned out my purse
- found my work badge (which was in my purse as suspected!)
- took not oft worn shoes downstairs to help clean hall closet
- load of laundry
- watched guardians of the galaxy
- tried out new popcorn
- put clothes away
- text conversation with mom
- green bag out to bin, emptied garbage
- washed 2/3 of bras
- made some to do lists
- discussed next steps with Sunil about seething that had bothered me and we came up with a plan
- other plans discussed but not yet set in motion

I have been feeling like fail lately, with life things, but I'm posting to remind myself that Christmas is just another day, and I don't have to stress overly about it. If some people can't make it that's not the end of the world. If we have to use a backup present, not the end of the world. House isn't spotless before mom comes? Not the end of the world. Small things, first works problems, really. So I'm going to try and focus on having a good time with family and eating snacks and playing games and enjoying that aspect as that's what it's all about.
Grateful 5:
1. A constant, because I seem to write these in the tub or just after, but hot running water.
2. A great husband who did his best and helped yesterday and today despite gaing the flu. He is picking my mom up from the airport.m even and will hang out with her all day tomorrow.
3. That my mom likes my husband and will happily spend all day with him and Netflix and make cookies or something.
4. A shorter walk from the bus thanks to a street finally being constructed.
5. Having a waterproof phone case so I don't worry about using it in the tub.

So, originally had a Genius Bar appointment but phone backup took way too long and I rescheduled. So instead I:
- folded laundry
- made a batch of Christmas sugar cookies
- ate dinner
- emptied and loaded the dishwasher
- packed up the cookies
- chatted with Jon and Janet (separately, different topics)
- backed up my iPhone
- watched an ep of Otome Yokai Zakuro (too romantic for me but I have only 2 eps left) and several of White Collar
Boo, it felt like more this evening. Oops.
Remaining: for weekend:
- gingerbread (Sunil's request) -dough is made and chilling.
- gingersnaps (as we'll still have molasses)
- magic cookie bars batch 2
- clean bathrooms
- laundry
- wrap presents
- set up tree
- Genius Bar appointment
-hair appointment
- stocking stuffer shopping
- vacuum
- some groceries done but need to do more.
I'm going to end up doing quite a bit bc hubby is sick! Boo. At least I have yummy cheese from the Cheese Shoppe on Locke to eat!
Edit: I think I'm just going to cancel my Genius Bar appointment until the new year. Too much stress to try and fit it in now and it's not essential.

Well, despite sleeping in because of cat snuggles, we were pretty productive today, I feel.
Combined:
- garland went up on the white picket fence out front
- Canadian Tire trip to get bows, found the totes we like on sale, got a Christmas present
- moved the washing machine downstairs (neighbour helped Sunil with lifting; I held doors and steadied the machine, including squashing my pinky finger oops)
- Starbucks for a shared coffee and cranberry bar
- took back empties to the Beer Store (paid for Starbucks!)
- dinner out with family and had them over after
- furniture moved to get chair into spare room
- little tote now has toiletries in it sorted nicely, and it fits well in closet
- extras are in a ziplock as it turns out they can be donated to Halton house shelter through the local Starbucks
-big totes have Christmas decorations in them
- tree is in house now from garage to be set up
- wax that dropped off the mantle onto tile has been scraped up and cleaned
- a load of laundry (no folding) has been done
- checked out the neighbour's fish tank project
- dishwasher unloaded
Tomorrow, hopefully move the chair, set up the tree, package up stuff for shipping, toss the plastic boxes from Christmas tree ornaments, and Internet stuff that's been waiting. Fold laundry, pack, travel to K-town. Or so I hope! I'd like the productivity to continue...
