I went to the grocery store, got food for tonight, and then set out to wash a bowl I need for dinner. Only the thing wouldn't light to give me hot water. I try the stove. Nothing. I did heat the bath for something like 2 hours yesterday since I was on the phone and forgot to turn it off, but that wouldn't use all the gas. I realized I forgot to turn the gas knob after turning the flame off to the bath. That doesn't do it either.

I had no gas. That means no hot water or cooking ability.

So I called my supervisor and she called the gas company and then came over. She called them again when she was wasn't sure what was wrong. Turns out the automatic safety switch had kicked in and not the tank (AKA "bombe" is how they seem to call it in Japanese katakana) being empty. Thank goodness. So all we had to do was push the little pika-pika-ing red light (pikapika means sparkly, but also means flashing) for a few seconds, wait 2 minutes, and then PRESTO! GAS!

So, of course, instead of cooking, I am now sharing this story with everyone. :3

Kimono Costume Babble
For some reason, even though I can't do anything about it right now, I *really* feel the need to do a kimono costume. A real one, not one that is "kimono-ish" like the shinigami outfits or several "inspired by kimono" outfits. Only I'm not sure what... I keep coming back to Tomoe, just b/c it's darned easy. Dunno if I'll actually get around to one, anyway, since there's a lot to do and I don't know if it will fit in the schedule. But Anyway!

Costuming/cosplay Peeps:
Does anyone have any other suggestions for kimono costumes they'd like to see? I'm just curious. Links to pics would be nice if you're referring to something specific.
