I should have kept track of all the funny quotes, but there were far too many. I believe a great time was had by all, and thanks for coming. Food was great - yay lemon squares and apple/rhubarb crisp. Very sorry that hasfartogo and her hubby couldn't come.

The only things I did write down were the "Porn Titles" (i.e. things said while guessing that sound like porn movie titles).

Superbush (was supposed to be supernatural, but we couldn't figure out that trees and bushes were "nature")
Edward Spermhands (because the scissors looked like two sperm intertwined)
The Viagraprise (it was Star Trek, and she drew the enterprise, but the saucer section was a bit...droopy)

In other news, Cat Sitting for Martha and Stewart again. Cats are still fat and smelly (ok, Stewart is), but Martha likes sleeping on the bed with me, which is nice. I like having kitties again, even if it's temporary (thank goodness, Stewart is quite smelly; I think he has some sort of digestive problem).

Costumes are progressing. Must remember to bring chalk out so I can sketch for painting. Here's hoping stuff will be done in time (fingers crossed).

Who's up for a Win, Lose or Draw "Party" Saturday night? the4thhokage is in town and we'd like for everyone to get together.

Where: Our Apartment
When: Saturday, June 23rd
Time: ~7pm

Bring munchies if you want them, but eat dinner before you show up. Drinking ok, but BYOB (we have a little, but nothing special, and not a lot). We'll provide a list of words/titles/topics, but if kusanivy could bring her list too, just in case, that'd be awesome. We have the whiteboards and markers - or maybe we'll use the mouse and computer. XD

Please RSVP. Hope to see you here!

This weekend was a blast! Albeit a very geeky one on Saturday... which about 10 hours (with a break for ramen) of D&D. :P

( I got flowers!Collapse )

Today was the opening cereomony and the ceremony for introducting the new students to the upper-years (they stand and face one another and give small speeches). Then it was the presentations by the clubs to entice new members. Lots of them were entertaining presentations. I honestly didn't stay the entire time, since after about 2 hours of ceremonies and presentations there was a 15 min break and I came back here. The ceremonies weren't that formal - the students stood, the walls didn't have the red&white banner, and no flowers. The fancy ceremony was on Friday for the new years, so that's why. This one is more of a formality.

This afternoon I have class with 2-7, the untamable 1-7s from last year. :P I hope they like their new syllabus! I even wrote down which chapters would be on which test so they can study in advance. Each chapter will have 2 classes, followed by one lesson for practicing for the Eiken, skimming and scanning, and other things. I wonder how they'll take to the journal assignment. All they have to do first is get a book to be their journal. First assignment starts Friday, I think. Whee! Classes again!

I was also told that one of the 1-7 classes has been dropped. There are 3 teachers and it's hard to get meeting time with all of them, so the male teacher (who is very busy this year with 18 classes and 2 meetings a week) will take Mondays and prep them for the Eiken/step test. The other lesson will be me and the other teacher (who is my supervisor), and that's on Wednesdays. So I think I can try and make that one more entertaining due to the Eiken prep lesson. We want them to try and have level 2 when they graduate. I think it's possible - one girl in 1-7 last year passed, and a few more passed level pre-2.

Well, back to work. I gotta prep for the lesson this afternoon and get stuff together for the 1-7 class on Wednesday. ALso have to decide what to put on the bulletin board.

Hahahaha. Can the musketeer get any fruitier? XD

But the new Fighter = HOT. I want that jaunty hat. [The hat is totally what's keeping musketeer on my want-to-do list. Not this musketeer, the other one.] And the warlock has some new detail, too. Full body shot of figher and warlock, kneeling fruity musketeer. I think these are based off the work done for the release in Japan by some Japanese artist whose name I had forgotten. I found his website once, but I don't think I bookmarked it...*sigh* oh well. Maybe one day I will find it again.

EDIT: Forgot to add that there's more NPCs but no artwork, only a few small screens... Pirates! XD Pirate women with patches and skulls and crossbones on their hats! This game is getting cooler the longer I wait. ^-^ There's so many more new outfits! *.*

Queen of Amazon.co.jp today! Ordered books, but some weren't available via amazon.co.jp anymore, so I am going to have to look around for them later. Also found that one can preorder the Trinity Blood artbook by Thores via amazon. Right here. Would have done it, but I've already done so, so no point in getting two. Will ship internationally and takes credit card.

Got some work done for AJET, sent emails, all that neat stuff. Feel somewhat accomplished. Going to go to the post office soon and try and open a bank account. Hope it works, since they don't speak English and I don't speak a heck of a lot of Japanese.

Hmm, past 3 already. Really have to go to the post office NOW, or else they will be closed by the time I get there. Hope I have my hanko and that that's all I need to bring... (edit, 535pm)...and it was. In about 10 days I will have my new bank card mailed to me, and I can start using it! It's so much handier than the Aomori bank, since I can use it anywhere in Japan. It's my savings account... and it's a bit behind already. >.
