the other day charley went over to play with some friends. their mom captured these awesome pictures of them playing indiana jones. charley said that her friend was indie & she was the girl....he had a pretend knife & was going to cut the ropes to free them. awww....to be a kid.

sweet sorrow

two days ago my gran died. no one has summed my feelings up better than my sweet charley.
she said "i think gran is happy now because she is with heavenly father & can go on lots of dates with grandad". in her prayers at night she has prayed that "gran will have a good time in heaven with her sister, grandad & all her friends".

geo-caching/swing time

it has been a while since we have had a family adventure. so we woke up saturday & headed out to find some caches that were close to the house. the first one had this story that went along with the golden stag that was in the area. we were more excited about the deer & the huge banana slug that we found.

our next cache was supposed to be at a neighborhood park, we never found it but had a great time on the swings. it was a fun way to spend the morning.

Just proof that i was there.

purple eyed beauty

reese came off of the bus the other day with a swollen eye & a note from the school that she had had a head injury. compliments of someone pushing her down the slide. how many times do we have to tell our children not to push? anyway, right now it actually looks pretty cool, like she has purple eye shadow on....just on one eye though. she did tell me that she only cried two tears and she told her friend that she was an utley girl & utley girls don't cry. I LOVE IT!!!!
