Weekend Getaway

Last year Aaron & I started a new tradition by going to Southern Utah for the weekend. We had so much fun we decided to go again this year. This time we started out at Goblin Valley then to Capitol Reef & Kodachrome Basin. We wanted to fit in Bryce Canyon but the weather did not cooperate. The pictures are not in order & you will notice that there are groupings of pics of me or Aaron. We had two cameras & that's why. Can't wait til next year!

Silver Lake

It seems like we do this once a year....Aaron comes home from work & decides he wants us to go up to Silver Lake. So we hurry up & throw some dinner together & run up there before it gets too cold. We had a great time but the girls would not cooperate for pictures this year. This is the best that we got.

gran's last day

so, for gran's last day...we took down one of our apples trees. i got tired of picking up apples. there were just too many to consume & it was just plain messy. aaron did most of the work as you can see...is most of the pictures we are all just standing around watching aaron work.

Took Gran up to the cabin her first Saturday here. Aaron just had to get the girls fishing & Gran had such a good time watching. We had a really good time...so did the girls.

Finallly

It's seems like we have been preparing for this day forever. I guess that is my excuse for not blogging anything. Mom & Dad have been home for 2 weeks now & we are so happy to have them back with us. My girls are especially happy.

Bathroom Update

So, we are almost there. Aaron just has to grout, caulk, have the plumbing installed, & the shower walls put in. The electrician needs to fix a few things & then Neal & I have to do some repairs on our awesome texturing & paint job that the boys messed up. Oh, well. IT'S ALMOST DONE!!!!!

An Unfortunate Predicament

Last night I helped Aaron put up the sheet rock on the ceiling in our bathroom. I wasn't tall enough to hold the pieces in place so he could screw them to the trusses. So, we brought in the handy-dandy super tall ladder. Perfect. Worked like a charm. Phew that is done. Then last night before bed, Aaron said...How are we going to get the ladder out? Any suggestions? Its pretty stuck.

Gwenievere the Beagle

We finally did it! We got a puppy. She is a 5 month old beagle & has already stolen our hearts. We got her yesterday & she has been great. She slept good & has not had any accidents. I am crossing my fingers that I won't regret the decision. Reese absolutely adores her & Charley is slowly warming up. I think they are going to be great friends.

 

 

 

Mud Buddies

We took the girls up to the cabin while Aaron & Marty replaced the flooring. They had to stay outside, so we made sure they had fun. They love the cabin!

Reese Turns 4!!

For Reese's birthday I was feeling like she was getting jipped because I still haven't planned her birthday party. So, on her birthday we dropped Charley off & picked up her grama & we went to lunch. I let Reese choose where she wanted to go & she chose the Soup Kitchen & I was so glad....it was delicious. Then we went & had pedicures. I took my camera but got so engrossed in watching Reese that I forgot to take pictures. We then went home for a little while til Aaron came home. Then we went to the movies to see Kung Fu Panda. Then off to Leatherby's. We had a fun filled day! Although Reese does not look thrilled in these pictures she really was. She got a craft kit & that was all she could talk about. The last few days she has asked me numerous times if she could have craft time. We got it out yesterday & she sat quietly by herself for almost two hours!! It was awesome to watch her so into her crafts.

Hawaii Part II

Summer Inspiration

When I got home from Hawaii on Thursday I had a wonderful cheery vase of sunflowers waiting for me. No one has ever given me sunflowers before. I have a new found love for these flowers. They have inspired me to change my blog background & my attitude for the next upcoming months.
