Silver Lake

We went for a hike the other night at Silver Lake. It was nice because it has a boardwalk & a pretty good path all the way around. Reese climbed everything that she could including a rather high rock wall. The picture of the family is all of us at the top of the wall. I went with Reese just to make sure she did fall & then of course our "me-tooer" had to climb it as well. Pretty soon we were all up there. We couldn't get a good picture of how high it was because this was the last picture we were able to take as the battery died. Too bad. It was fun.

I guess I am behind in posting pictures. We had a end of the summer messy party for some of our friends in the neighborhood a few weeks ago. The big hit was the spaghetti & the cool whip pool.

This is the view from the exact location that Aaron proposed to me. However, it was a winter night, I was in a retro-brown one piece snowsuit & sitting on a snowmobile. No matter the season I love coming to this place, I am reminded of the things we talked about that night & the beauty that always surrounds us when we come here with our family.

Cricket Catcher

We stopped for Reese to climb on some rocks during our hike at the cabin. I noticed that there were some big grasshoppers hanging out & called the girls to come look. Aaron said "I'll catch it for you". However, when he tried he missed & it hopped away, so he promptly chased it "I'll get it". Then Reese said "No, I'll get it!" & she walked right up to it & picked it up on the first try. It was pretty funny, Aaron chasing it around & Reese gets the cricket.

Play Day

I took the girls out to the driveway to ride their bikes, however, they spent most of their time under the truck. I think they got in time-out 3-4 times because I told them not to play under there. They were SO dirty!
