not moses hole anymore

i took the girls to moses again this weekend. charley loved it so much the last time we went there that she told me she wanted to live there. who would have thought? i think they like it cause it is just a big girl party. we stayed at brady & kim's this time & so we got to spend time with their girls & the one boy, kyre. he was seriously the catalyst for chaos. thankfully, brady would remove him from the girls every once & a while to give them a break. that kid is PURE boy! we had a blast & are already looking forward to another trip. my kids will probably never refer to it as "moses hole". :)

4th of July

We went to Moses Lake for the 4th. Alisha & her family were there too, so we got to hang out. On Sat. we went to the "state park" & let the girls play on the "beach". They had so much fun...all those girl cousins. Charley asked me several times when Livvy & Calli were going to be there. They were missed. Evb has a new buddy, Xerxes. She loved him & he was really good to her. All in all we had a great time. So much so that Charley now wants to live in Moses Lake.

strawberry goodness

aaron is always asking me "what the plan is". so i made a plan. last week i called aaron's sister up in monroe & inquired about u-pick strawberries. there were a few farms close by. so we got up in saturday morning & headed up. it was perfect weather, not rainy & not hot. the girls had a lot of fun rummaging for berries. evb, who doesn't like fruit, even had fun...pick one, eat it, spit it out. we ended up giving a tip to cover all the half-eaten berries she left behind.
afterward we went over the kelly's house & had lunch & spent the afternoon with her family. it was fun. the girls LOVE aaron's sisters. by the time we got home our strawberries, which were extremely ripe, had smashed eachother. we tried to salvage as many berries for eating pleasure & then we made a batch of jam with the rest. aaron says it is the best strawberry jam. hoping to go again next week for some more. yum.
