on the sunniest warmest day of the year, she gets off of the bus in the fowlest of moods. you ask "what's wrong sweetheart?"

daddy appreciation day

last monday was daddy appreciation day. you didn't know that? well, we decided that since aaron has been working so hard between work & going to school that he needed a pick me up evening. we bought steaks, i made his favorite cake from scratch, & when reese got home from school the girls made him cards. they could hardly wait for him to get home from work & it about killed them because he didn't walk through the door until 7pm. try to keep three little girls entertained for 4 hours after they have been let in on a secret. they kept wanting to call him & tell him to hurry home for his surprise. i think he actually was surprised when he walked through the door. we never actually talked about what kind of day that he had but i think that our

appreciation day couldn't have come at a better time for him.

can you see evb? i think she got about three swipes of frosting while i was trying to take pictures. turkey.

an unplanned nap

i found these on the camera. i can't remember the situation but it seems like i remember that charley was upset about something & covered herself up so that no one could see her. i think she slept like this for a good 45 minutes.

the short version

some of you may know that a few months ago Charley randomly told me that she wanted to cut her hair & donate it to someone who was sick. i have no clue where she heard about programs like this but we talked about it & what a great thing it was. i kept putting her off though because i was having a hard time separately myself from her beautiful long hair. she really does have the most beautiful hair. she could go days without brushing it & no one would know the difference except Charley & i when it actually came time to brush her hair. then all hell broke loose. she has the most tender head & i have little patience. not a good combo. so the time finally came & i was tired of having bad hair brushing moments.

we sent Charley to spend a week with my mom & dad in boise & so i thought maybe it would be easier on my if i had my mom take her for the actually moment. you have to have at least 10" of hair in a ponytail in order for locks of love to use the hair to make a wig. i was a little worried that she wouldn't have enough but it turns out that her ponytail was about 11.5" long. mom said that she was pretty emotionless while having it cut that they were not sure how to read her but afterwards she said "charley LOVES her hair". charley called to tell me that she got her hair cut & told me that she & bama (my mom) were twins. she thinks it is so cool.

it has been a few weeks now & both Charley & I LOVE her hair!!!
