Year Two Week Thirteen

Wowee-Zowee we have a lot of apples in our tree! Hopefully someone will come over to eat some for us.Hooray for the Yoons! Good thing it was our week to host our Wednesday get together. Too bad we kids didn't eat very much dinner on account of all of the apples that we ate.
Dad and I were supposed to go swimming with the Creeks on Thursday but the weather wasn't obliging. We still found ways to entertain ourselves regardless. Nyah has some cool toys in her backyard!

Remeber how much fun I had with last week's fort? Well, we pulled out all of the stops (and all of the cushions!) for this week.

Mom had a brilliant design for my fort. But it seemed too nice for just me.

So we invited the Kellys and the Yoons over to play in it!

We also had a wonderful Pizza dinner outside in the great weather.

It's wonderful to have family close by.

Year Two Week Twelve

Woah, look at the big apples from our apple tree! They're still a little tart but I like them. Chomp! Isis, Edan, and I made our own trampoline out of the couch cushions.

On Thursday, I became reacquainted with some old friends. Nyah and I took to each other like peas and carrots.
After finding respite from the scorching heat in the backyard, Nyah taught me the names of the planets.

What's more fun than making forts? Playing in them!

Mom and Dad had dentist appointments on Friday and I had fun watching them.

Later on, we met up with the Kellys, Aunt Shannon, Grandma, and Sky at the Temple.

Vincent used the fan to dry his hair. Looking good, V!

Saturday morning we all went to the zoo.

Our parents tried to keep us awake on the way home so that we would take our naps with the babysitter. Shortly after she arrived, the adults watched Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. My Dad was really looking forward to this movie so that he can finally read the book.

This way, he can enjoy the movie, enjoy the book packed with extra content, and then enjoy the movie even more a second time.

We loved to visit with Aunt Shannon, Sky, and Grandma.

We miss you guys already!

Year Two Week Eleven

Man overboard! Shayla and I had fun on the boat at the mall.But that was nothing compared to the blast at the arcade. Giddy up!
Dance, dance, dance with Edan and Isis! We love to see them every Wednesday.
And Thursday too! The Yoons invited us and the Kellys over for some excellent quesadillas and fruit smoothies. Yum! We ate so much that we needed to go on a walk and swing!
Wait. That can't be Phatboi. He's never been allowed to go outside. But it is! Phatboi has been putting on a little weight so to stave off becoming a fat boy, some outside stimulation seems like a sound idea. Hopefully Mom's allergies will improve too!

He was as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs but found solace in the ferns. They tasted good too, apparently.

The weather continued to shine all week which affored us the opportunity to bike to the nearby yard sales. We found a book and a handful of cd's for $1!

Despain Reunion - Part 1

And here are the rest of the photos to be posted of the reunion! My favorite activity at the campsite was playing with the water with my cousins. It's a good thing my parents packed extra clothes! My Dad and Vincent's Dad arrived the morning after we set up camp. We were as excited to see them as they were to see us. Shayla brought some of her princess dresses, much to the delight of our cousins.

Not only was camping fun, it was also educational. Aunt Angie taught a class on food storage and preparation, Uncle Tim showed us how to purify water, Aunt Noelle illuminated the benefits of growing our own food, and Uncle Ryan gave us a hands-on CPR experience.

The adults had fun at our expense by stuffing as many balloons as they could fit into our clothes. We sure look silly!

The food relay was also hilarious, albeit disgusting at times.

We went on a long hike that was, (thankfully), in the shade for the most part.

Upon returning to camp, we celebrated Lydia's and Aspen's birthdays.

I found that my baby cousins Bryant and Natalie were super cute!

Friday morning we took down camp and then shared talents and stories.

Uncle Tim and Uncle Ryan also stuffed a lot of balloons into their clothes to tell us Nursery Rhymes in the style of Hanz & Franz. We certainly felt pumped up.

I showed everybody how well I can sing by singing a few songs like Spider-Man and Hello, Goodbye.

Despain Reunion - Part 2

We left the campsite to stay at the Golding's house for the rest of the reunion. Without missing a beat, we soon made our way down the street to play in the lake.

Saturday morning the tennis players hit the courts.
Everybody met back at the house for more talent shows. Uncle Russ played a number of moving patriotic songs for us.
Ali, Amber, and I tried our hands at the piano.
Could these four be any cuter!?

Racing down the slip & slide was enormously entertaining, especially for the observers.

Whee!!!

We also made good use of the giant trampoline. Mom and I were tough eggs to crack.

It's no surprise that a few of us fell asleep at this point. Vincent and I slept for three hours!

After everybody had woken up, we headed to the firework show and played games.

I was completely mesmerized by the fireworks and kept asking for more.
