Dallin Week Seven

Here is the short version of my labor experience, for those who care.

Dallin was due on April 24, 2007. He was too comfortable then. At my doctor appointment on April 26th my amniotic fluid was a bit low, so we kept my scheduled induction date of Friday, April 27. We called around 7:30 am and they said they were too busy to fit in my induction and to call back on a couple of hours. Two hours later they were still too busy. Another two hours later they were still busy. When I called an hour later they said they were still busy, but to come in and they would fit me in. After waiting in the waiting room for 45 min they sent us home. We called again later and even went in again with no luck. Finally at 3:30 am on Saturday, April 28 they called us in. We got there around 4:30 am.

After being admitted and hooked up to IV and getting the OK from my doctor, I was finally given the Petosin around 6:30 am. The on-call doctor came in and broke my water around 9:30 am. After that the contractions got a whole lot more painful. Round 10:30 I received the epidural. At around 11:45 I started to push. And at 1:26 pm Dallin Ezra Montoya was born. Not bad for the first baby. He was 7 lbs 6 oz and 19 ¾ in long.

Aunt Shannon finally got me to sleep. I got her to sleep too.

Mom and Dad's friends, Dane and Jen, came over with their daughter Nyah. She liked to stick her face in front of the air purifier.

I thought Aunt Shannon and Uncle Danny were so funny! This is where I play with mom every morning.

Mom cut her hair!
This is the first time I have had it this short (except when it grew out to this length when I was a kid.) Dallin kept grabbing my long hair.

Dallin Week Six

Uncle Danny graduated from Moses Lake High and with his AA from Big Bend CC. Good job Uncle Danny!

I had to get a new license plate, so said the state, so I picked to personal it with "Tarando". It's a combination of my name and the latter part of Orlando's. It can also read as Tara and O. Orlando's license plate says "Eternal" so we thought they look nice together.

Here is Dallin in his swing. He likes it for about 10 min at a time. He fit into this "newborn" outfit for the last time. He is growing so fast.

Dallin likes his baths, but doesn't like drying off and getting his clothes on again.

Dallin Week Five

Dallin had his 1 month check up on May 29, my birthday. He was 9 lbs 12 oz and 23 in long. He is growing fast!

Shannon is living with us while she works this summer. We have been very grateful to have her here. She has been a tremendous help with Dallin.

Three generations of baldness. Te-he, Dallin has the most hair among the three of them. ;)

Dallin Week Four

My parents liked my name, Dallin, because it is very uncommon and sounds cool. Then we found out one of the missionaries was named Dalllin. He's the one trying to copy my hair style, but cut a little too much off.

My mom and I like to play with my many toys.

My aunt Celeste, grandma, and grandpa visited me a lot!

My favorite thing is to have my mom feed me and my dad burp me. He's really good at it.

Dallin Week Two

I was born on my cousin, Zachary's birthday. And only a few weeks before my cousin, Justin's birthday. Here they are celebrating all the wonderful births.

My umbilical cord fell off in 7 days. So I was able to get a real bath!

Daddy gave me my first bath.

Grandma was there to help my mom.

Daddy loved me right away.

Mommy was there to comfort me when I was frightened and cold in my new world.

Man, that was tough work!
