Payton Elizabeth is 1 Month Old!

Sweet Payton Elizabeth is 1 month old!!  The time is passing much more quickly than I would like, so I'm trying to soak up every moment I can.  Here are her stats from birth to her 1-month check-up:

Birth
Weight:  5 lbs, 13.7 oz
Height:  17.32 inches

2-Week Check-up
Weight:  5 lbs, 13 oz (5th %)
Height:  19 inches (25th %)
Head:  13.5 inches (25th%)

1-Month Check-up
Weight:  6 lbs, 12 oz (3-5th%)
Height:  20 inches (25th%)
Head:  14 inches (25th%)




Ranger and Callen LOVE their baby sister and ask to give her hugs, kisses, and pats all throughout the day.  They really are sweet to her, and the only thing we have to watch out for is them loving on her a little too much!  ;-)





Payton is a good eater.  During the day she eats every 2.5 - 4 hours, and at night she eats every 3.5 - 5 hours.  I appreciate getting those 3-4 hours of sleep in a row!  I'll pump and give her a bottle every day or two, and she seems to like it just as much a nursing, thankfully.  

She is also a good sleeper, most of the time.  In the mornings, she takes a few smaller naps, but in the afternoon, she usually takes a very long 2-4 hour nap.  This nap overlaps with the boys' naps...yay!  Then, Payton takes a shorter nap during the evening.  We aren't on a set schedule, but she typically goes to bed between 8:00 - 10:00pm.





Here is a picture of a rare moment when Payton is actually sleeping and content in her carseat.  She is NOT a fan of the carseat and cries almost the entire time we travel.  She also poops almost every time too!  (I'm not sure which one of these events leads to the other.)  I'm hoping as she gets bigger she warms up to the carseat a little more.  It definitely makes running errands and driving to swim lessons or church very loud, so we stay in more than we used to.  




On May 22, my sweet friends threw Payton a sip-n-see shower.  I only took this picture with my camera, but at least it's a good one!  I love my mom!!  The shower was so fun, and the girls really made it special and pinkalicious for sweet Payton!





Payton slept constantly the first 2 weeks of her life, then she woke up and became a bit of a fussy-pants unless she was eating or sleeping.  But, I cut dairy out of my diet, and she seems to be feeling better and having more moments of contentment and less belly troubles.  Now she will lay and look around for 10-15 minutes for a little "play" time.  :-)





We haven't seen any of her real smiles yet, but I think we are close as she seems to actually be paying attention to us now!




And just like her brother Callen, Payton is most comfortable sleeping in the "nap taco."  This fantastic incline sleeper really does help her sleep better than if she is laying flat, and I am so grateful for it!  I'm also grateful for the sling a friend lent me as it allows me to carry her around when she has trouble sleeping on her own.  You can see here that she passed out, so the sling and my sweet daughter both went into the nap taco together!



We love our sweet girl and have enjoyed her so much already!  Happy 1 month, Payton Elizabeth!

 

Sun & Sand!

Now that school is out, the boys have been able to enjoy some fun at the "Arnold Oasis" with Wade, Amber, Addy & Davis.  I'm not sure they will ever want to come home after all this!


Addy had a sand volleyball game, so the boys had a beach party! 














They also had some great splash time in the pool!







And Callen's new best friend is Addy!

This past month has gone quite quickly, and here are some pictures to show what we've been up to!

The boys enjoyed some yummy ice cream I made with our new ice cream maker.  I think it was a hit!




Callen and Ranger learned all about a hail storm...




The whole family ventured out for a doctor's appointment.  The kids can all ride together in this ride!




Chad had a birthday surprise during dinner with friends one evening.  Payton seems very impressed.  :-)





Ranger enjoyed a popsicle on the last day of preschool.  Yum!




And the boys love their new Scentsy pets from Aunt Amber!!




We spend as much time outside as the weather allows us.  Usually that time ends in our boys needing to be stripped naked and hosed off.  Here they are drying in their new towels from Joe & Irene!




With the hot temperatures, popsicles are a MUST!





That's just a little of what we've been doing lately.  Taking pictures and keeping current with a blog while taking care of 3 kids is easier said than done, but I'm trying my best!
