Our sweet Ranger is 7 months old! I can't believe it! We are in such a fun stage right now...on most days I don't know if I can give him enough kisses & hugs. Here are some things I want to remember about Ranger right now:
- He is a pretty good little sleeper now...at least MOST of the time he is! He goes to sleep around 7:00pm and wakes around 4:00 - 5:00am to eat. Then he sleeps again until about 7:30. He has also become a consistent napper (unless he isn't at home - then all bets are off!).
- He is very vocal now! He is an expert at the following sounds: "Da, Da, Da"...."Ga, Ga, Ga"...."Ge, Ge, Ge"...."Ba, Ba, Ba." Still no "Ma, Ma, Ma," but I'm working on it!
- He loves to scream and grunt loudly. He makes me laugh every time he does this!
- He is rolling regularly now, but I try to watch him when he makes his way onto our wood floors. I know that much head bonking is in his future, but I'm trying to prevent what I can!
- He reaches and pivots for toys now, which could lead to crawling or scooting in the next couple of months. That should make life interesting!
- Ranger LOVES food! He eats absolutely anything I feed him, and I'm afraid he would eat himself sick if I didn't stop him.
Here he is after waking from a nap. I gave him this little puppy to play with, and he was very happy about it!
Ranger loves to stand! He can hold himself up when I prop him against furniture, although I always stay right behind him.

One of Ranger's BFFs, Luke, came over to play one day while his mommy worked. The boys had a good time together!

I haven't been the best blogger lately...either reading others' or writing my own. I'm in quite a book reading kick these days, so when Ranger naps, I usually have my head in a book, rather than staring at a computer! But, I realized I've taken some pretty cute pics of my little guy, and I knew I needed to share!

No, I didn't find him this way. We stood him up, and he was pretty proud of himself. Since this was taken, we have lowered his crib!

Ranger has been going to Bible class for the past few weeks. This last Sunday, Chad & I were helping out, so I took a few pics. Of course, he hasn't cried during class at all until we are in there!
But he quickly got over it and started paying close attention!

Grumpy & Nonnie have this cool car jumperoo at their house, and he had a blast in it! It makes all kinds of fun noises.
Here he is before church last Sunday. He went to Bible class for the very first time. I must admit, I was a little emotional and had a few tears, but he did great! Apparently he LOVED the songs and only started crying right before we picked him up. My volunteer Sunday is in a couple of weeks, so I plan to take a picture of him in class then. :-)

Last Friday we had dinner with the Clems, so Ranger & his buddy Brody got in some good playtime!
Ranger & his harem: These are all the kids in our small group. Ranger is the only boy, so he has become quite the ladies man!
This picture makes me smile. He was watching "Praise Baby," and instead of leaning back in his bouncy like he usually does, he is sitting up paying full attention. Such a big guy!
Poor little Ranger! He became quite sad last night when I told him he had to go to the doctor today for his 6-month check-up. He did really well...until the needles came out!
He now weighs 16 lbs, 4 oz (24%), is 26" long (29%), and has a 17" head (30%). He is getting soooo big!
Last weekend we traveled to Abilene for the annual Smith family reunion. We had a great time catching up with everyone (although we fell a little behind on our sleep!).
