We were actually out of town on Chad's birthday this year, so his present was a little belated. The boys and I gave him (and us!) tickets to tour Cowboy Stadium. Last Friday, we took our little trip to Arlington.

We didn't waste any time and headed straight for the field.
"Cheeeeeese!" (Callen was a little busy finishing up his bottle.)

Ranger was pretty cute because it was evident he wanted to run around, but he knew to wait on our permission. When we told him to run...
...he was GONE! He loved running all over the field and could have stayed there all day, I think.
He and Callen both enjoyed walking near the on-field suites.

Callen had a great time too. There was so much to look at that he stayed pretty happy.
Eventually we made our way into the locker rooms. We were able to visit the cheerleader locker room (no pictures!), and also the player locker room.
Callen made a friend of one of the guides. :-)
But thankfully he came back!
I'm not sure what our boys are doing, but at least Chad and I were picture-ready!
And, as with any Johnston family outing, I packed our lunch! Chad cheated a bit though and bought some nachos. :-)
Maybe one day they can attend a real game together!
We had such a fun day, and it was a perfect, indoor, air-conditioned activity for a hot summer day. Plus, it was a great way to celebrate Chad's birthday together. Happy birthday, honey! We love you!
This ragamuffin needed a haircut! It was quite past time.
So, on Saturday, it was time for Callen's first haircut! We wheeled him outside on the patio in the red car. Here are some "before" shots.

The cape ended up being more of a hindrance than a help, so we took it off. We also took this opportunity to stress again to Ranger that only Mommy and Daddy can use scissors. We definitely don't want any episodes of big brother cutting little brother's hair.
Callen didn't seem to mind at all, especially since he was munching on graham crackers...

I must say...he looks quite handsome!
Our days have been pretty normal around here; no big events to speak of. So this will be a post full of pictures of our sweet boys!
Callen has started eating some finger foods, and one of his absolute favorites is toast. But, true to form, he is the messiest toast eater I have ever seen! (He isn't always this messy, but there does always seem to be some type of food in his hair.)
Although it doesn't look like this picture was taken in a dark room, it actually was. I saw on the monitor that Ranger had piled up all of his animal friends one night and had to sneak up for a picture. He loves all of his animals, and it seems like a new one makes it into his bed every week! Clearly he needed them all to have some cozy pillow space. :-)
This new tool bench is a BIG hit with Ranger. He loves it! He has been very into tools for a while now since he helps Chad all the time with projects around the house. He would pretend anything was a tool. So, I called around to the second-hand stores in the area and found this little gem! He spends hours playing here. This picture caught a rare moment when he actually let Callen play too.
Popsicle and Beach Boys! His favorite! Callen always looks longingly at Ranger's popsicle.
Callen enjoys playing in the pantry, which really helps me out when I'm trying to prepare dinner.

Daddy's big helper, as always! Chad and Ranger replaced the smoke detectors in our house after our old ones decided to go off from 1:30 - 2:30am the previous night. Uggghhh!
We had a Happy Father's Day around here! Well, almost...Ranger was actually running a pretty high fever, but the good part of that is all the cozy time we get with our sweet guy!

Thankfully, Ranger is on the mend and playing all over the house again! He and Callen have a regular game of throwing bath toys in the tub when it's empty. They both get a big kick out of it, and I love watching them act like buddies!
Ranger was also sweet and let Callen hitch a ride in his red car to grab the mail. It was a tight squeeze, but they both enjoyed it!
