This didn't exactly make me happy but it did make me smile. Annabelle was trying to hide under Brooklyn's bed from the thunderstorm. Problem was only half of her would fit!

We dropped Rylie off at God's Mountain camp this morning.  I'm so thankful for the opportunity this camp gives to kids. Our kids love being there!

Today, we celebrated this beauty. Rylie turned 11 today. The day was focused on her and she chose our fun. Bakery, lunch date with dad, mani and pedi with me, camping with friends! She's generous, kind, responsible, loving, and smart to name a few. So proud of her!

Matt's in the middle of a long stretch of nights, so meeting up with a friend and her daughter at Worlds of Fun was a nice break. Happy faces all around!

When we adopted Dupree, we knew he was shy. We had no idea the extent of his fear and anxiety. We have spent the last three months acclimating him to our home and our life. He goes everywhere with us: the store, vacation, ball games, the park. He has come so very far from the pup we brought home and wouldn't leave the corner, but he still has so far to go. This last week we took him to a local trainer for help. She was amazing. We are already seeing such an improvement in him. We switched up the type of collar we use to walk him, after she showed us how to use it correctly. He walks beautifully now with no pulling. She showed us how to interest him in playing. Sounds crazy that he didn't know how to play, but he had no idea. Not he's running all over the backyard, chasing his ball and wrestling with Annabelle! She taught us exercises to improve his confidence and teach him to be brave! We are just so excited by what we have learned, we can't wait to continue watching him bloom!

Day 7

Today Walker got to do something today he's been talking about for the last year. The New York Yankees were playing the Royals and Matt and Walker had tickets.  His favorite ball player is a trade from the Cubs and plays for the Yankees.  He wanted to see Soriano play. Unfortunately Soriano didn't play today but he did see him on the field and in the dugout. Seeing Walker happy makes me happy!

Day 6

My happy today is our ability to decide at 4:00 on a Saturday afternoon to head to Worlds of Fun.  I love being able to load up and within an hour be riding rides, people watching, having fun as a family and walking to our hearts content!
