MarketPlace

Fergus Falls Church of the Nazarene holds a Christmas tradition called "The MarketPlace." The MarketPlace is quite an undertaking and absolutely breathtaking. They transform the entire church into a bible time street market in Bethlehem. The journey includes talking with shepherds, stopping at the innkeepers house for lamb pitas (very very yummy), apricots and figs, pistachios and goat's milk or water. We then journeyed into Bethlehem where we had to pay a tax and then got to listen to a story teller, make candles, do some weaving, construct toys, make potpourri satchels, visit the bakery, and just experience the feel of Bethlehem. Once our tribe was done at the town's center, we journeyed to the stable complete with a tiny babe and singing angels as well as sheep and donkeys. The whole experience was just breathtaking. We can't wait to go back next year.

Tree Tradition

While we were back, we got to invade Grandpa Gibbs' house and decorate his Christmas tree. I wish I could find all of the pictures from past years, but this has been a yearly tradition. Last year, only Andrea's kids got to do it. We were glad to be able to help this year!

Perry Christmas

I was so excited to be able to make the trip back for Thanksgivings and Perry Christmas. It was great to introduce Brooklyn to so many of my family and to watch the kids all play with their cousins. I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked, I was just enjoying the afternoon!

Saturday Morning Basketball

Only one more week of basketball for Walker. He has loved it, we have loved it. He's already looking forward to next year!
