Madden

He is one of the sweetest four-year-old I know, not that I am bias. The other day I had been crabby. Madden said, "Mommy come upstairs. I have a surprise for you." When I came upstairs he had made my bed for me. He is always worried about making me proud.

If you have been to our home, you know I like to keep a clean house. As my belly keeps getting bigger, I keep realizing my priorities are changing a little bit. I need to sit more often. Madden is always asking if he can do the dishes, mop or vacuum. He does a thorough job at the tasks he is given. I love my little helper.

I don't want to send him to school. The world will make a monster out of my sweet little boy.

The Funk...

We had germs at our house for nearly 8 weeks. A round of stomach bugs, colds, more stomach bugs and the flu will keep a mom with 3 small children couped up WAY TOO long. I have never been much of a germ freak, but I have started to be more paranoid. Especially, with the testing we have been having done on London's little lungs.

New Year's Eve

The pictures are a little blurry, but they happen to describe the evening. We did not make any big plans, knowing we would probably be dealing with some form of sickness. Rustin was just finishing up his round of the flu.

We had set the timer for "midnight" aka 9. I told the boys that when the timer went off it was the start of a new year. They could bang pots and pans like crazy hooligans. Rustin was excited until it happened and then decided it was too loud. Madden and Uncle Corde continued until the timer went off signaling it was time to stop. Madden was worried the entire time about waking up the neighbors.

Just like clockwork, London came down with the flu about the time. She happened to barf all over me about 915. That is how we rang in the 2013. Hopefully, the funk all left with 2012 and we will be healthy this year.

Bowling

We have a bowling alley about 5 miles from our house. The boys have been asking me for the last couple of months if we can go bowling. Every time we pass it, I dreaded the question remembering that I have forgotten. (Don't mind the fact that the majority of the last eight weeks we have been sick at our house.) Bryan was off for the holidays and decided the timing was perfect. Madden and Rustin absolutely LOVED it. Both of them were able to throw/roll the ball all by themselves. London and I were the cheerleaders. She tried to run down one of the lanes and realized it is quite slippery.

Christmas Day

We enjoyed a very relaxed Christmas. The children stayed in their jammies all day and played with their new toys. Thanks to all the friends and family members who made this a special Christmas for us!! We are so blessed with the necessary temporal things that we want and need. Most of all, we are SO lucky to have the knowledge of our Savior. We tried to focus this Christmas season on the real meaning of Christmas.

Christmas Eve

Bryan and I have decided to continue a tradition that I had as a child, which is on Christmas Eve reading the story of Christ's birth. Each of the kids were really excited to dress up for about five minutes. Madden and Rustin were both shepherds and London was an angel.

We also have continued the tradition of pajamas on Christmas Eve. We started a new tradition. Along with the pajamas, we bought each of the kids their favorite box of cereal. It is something different and fun for Christmas morning.
