Baby Girl !

We have been blessed with a little baby girl. She was born early Sunday afternoon. Her name is London; she weighed 7lbs 7.9 oz and was 20 inches long. She is adorably cute and has her daddy and brothers enamored. Chelsie and London are doing just fine. Unlike her two older brothers, London does not have any hint of jaundice and will be coming home at a normal time.

I took these pictures with my phone, so once we get the camera to the house I will upload some more.

PS -Under certain light, her hair has a reddish tint although nothing like Madden's.

Madden Turns Three

We made plans to celebrate Madden's birthday on May 6th. I figured that we might as well have the party before the baby came, not knowing when he/she might make an appearance. Madden and I went to pick out his birthday cake a few days before. He chose a Thomas The Train cake. However, he was sure that he wanted an actual cake and NOT cupcakes. Because you can not blow candles out of cupcakes.

Ever since his friend Ashton had a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese in January Madden has been looking forward to his birthday party there. So on "May Firtyif" which is his actual birthday (aka May 6th) we invited some of his friends to join us for a little party. I recommend doing a birthday party there during the week, if you do not enjoy the mass chaos of TONS of children. We all had a wonderful time.

I told Bryan I did not want this to be the birthday that never ends. So, Friday evening we had a little family birthday party. It was complete with a nerf gun war, game of whiffle ball, tons of bubbles, fireworks and a fire in the fire pit. Thanks to everyone for making Red's birthday special.

Captain Moroni 2

Madden got a pretty sweet Captain Moroni outfit from Grandama and Aunt Sara for his birthday. He is such a stud. Birthday pictures will come soon.

Easter Weekend

Bath time at Andy's house was much more eventful, than at our house. Uncle Andy has a jet tub, which neither one of the boys was too fond of. Rustin was done at the end of the day. He normally enjoys bath time, but was not a happy camper. Madden, on the other hand, LOVED every minute of his bath. He had a fabulous time making bubble mustaches and playing with the abundance of bubbles.

Madden enjoying some of the kiddie rides. Rustin is not near as excited about adrenaline things as Madden was at his age. He was perfectly content to watch in the stroller. Rustin would rather be sneaky when no one is watching.

We drove down to Knoxville on Thursday evening. Neither one of the boys thought they needed to sleep in the car. It was around 11 when we arrived. I was afraid we might be in for a long day on Friday. We planned to spend Friday in Gatlinburg.

Friday came and everyone woke up happy, much to my surprise. We headed to Gatlinburg with Aunt Beth and Uncle Andy. Beth was so kind as to get us tickets to the Ripley's Aquarium. We saw all kinds of aquatic life and the amazing penguin exhibit. Madden's favorite part was the people mover!

Andy and Beth were excellent hosts. We woke up to a wonderful breakfast on Saturday. They had decided to take the boys for the day, so Bryan and I could have a date. Andy, Beth and the boys headed off for the Knoxville Zoo. Bryan and I headed to downtown Knoxville to see Market Square. We enjoyed seeing the street performers, people watching, shopping and an outdoor lunch. In the mean time, everyone at the zoo seemed to have an enjoyable time. Everyone came home exhausted. Easter was nice and relaxing. The boys enjoyed their Easter baskets. Madden was convinced he did not need to share any of the eggs he found with Rustin. Madden would only give Rustin one egg at a time, afraid Rustin would take them all. Rustin was cool with that as long as he was able to eat the treat inside. The Easter lunch was delicious. Around nap time we headed back to the swamp land of Kentucky.

Over the last couple weeks, we have been reading the story of the Crucifixion every night at bedtime for scriptures with Madden and Rustin. Until last night, we thought Madden called it the rope story referring to the crown of thorns on Jesus head. We figured out he calls it the robe story, talking about the purple robe Christ was wearing. It is amazing the things that little children pick up on to remember.
