Madden's Blessing Day 7/6/08

The storm!!

It was supposed to be a calm night in the natti, no rain expected until Monday. In weatherman fashion, they were way wrong. Next thing you know a tornado was spotted and we were taking shelter in the basement. Not before some idiot took pictures for all to enjoy.

This thing looked like it was spinning and was about 200 yards from the house. I was being pelted by hail at this point. Note the tree bending over in the foreground. It was pretty sweet.

6 WEEKS

Bryan and I are fortunate to be parents of a healthy baby. Every day we thank our Heavenly Father for all the things we have been given. We can't believe that Madden is six weeks old already. As Madden has decided that if he is awake he wants to be held, we have been able to cuddle many hours together. I thought once I was home with him, I would have all this time to do things like: learn to sew, paint, clean, and cook. However, it is not like that. I told Bryan today I haven't had time to do anything. I have spent the all day holding Madden. (It is rather difficult to type one handed and it takes a lot longer.) He reminded me that the day will come when I miss him snuggling in my arms.

We were lucky to have Aunt Shayla and Max come visit with us for 3 weeks. It was tons of fun having them here. We appreciate all the help Shayla. Madden has woke up a little since you let. Now, rather then sleeping for all the day, he is awake for a few hours. He also has decided that he likes to be held, just like Max. Maybe I should eat more ice cream and then Madden will be Max's size by the time is a 4 months.

Madden hanging out with his cousin, Max. Shayla, Chelsie's sister, happened to bring an outfit that matched one of Madden's. We decided it would be a perfect photo opportunity. You would be surprised at how many times when Shayla and I were out that people would ask if they were twins. They look like twins in this picture only because they are wearing the same thing, if you look at the size difference you know better.

Happy Fourth of July. We are so grateful for the wonderful nation in which we live. Especially, we are appreciative of our 3 brother-in-laws serving our country. Thanks BRIGS, TIM, and ANDY.

We went to independent league baseball game. We had front row tickets down the third base side, and decided to relocate due to the risks with foul balls. This picture of Chelsie, Madden, Max, and Shayla was taken during the fireworks show. Madden didn't know what to think, but Max watched the whole thing with wide eyes.
The ladies from work had a luncheon to welcome Madden. Vicki, my favorite, hosted it at her house. We had quite an enjoyable time. They had fried chicken, not knowing that it was one of my favorites.
Thank you Vanny and Cindy for the "studly" outfit. I think Madden was showing us how big of poop he had in his pants.

Madden goes for his first swim. He realized that the pool water was not as warm as the bath water he is used to. However, he really doesn't even like bath water. It was no surprise to me when he started to cry. Our swim time was cut short due to a storm.

I Do Tricks

I pee freely. Madden thinks every time his diaper is off that he has to pee all over. I have him on a changing pad, but apparently we need a bigger one. This diaper change had three pee pee showers. The third spot is above the one on the left. Does anyone know if the"pee pee tee pee" works?

I can even pee out the back of my diaper without the diaper getting wet. I like to keep mom busy with laundry or I have outfits I don't like.
