Ok, so I threw some DN icons together. The style is blatantly ripped from the original R/L 'Innuendo!' icon. It's one Raito icon with 3 variations and an L icon.

I finished reading the Ominous Omnibus (a.k.a. the first 3 Lemony Snicket books). They were decent. Every book is essentially the same. Count Olaf kills a Baudelaire or Baudelaire relative (usually while in disguise), Mr. Poe sucks at life, the Baudelaire orphans tell everyone that that man is Count Olaf in disguise, he's found out because of the cleverness of the orphans yet gets away in chapter 13 to return and repeat the cycle. They were entertaining and provided a nice vocabulary lesson. For instance, I learned the word dowager and another long word which meant corpulent which I currently forget. It began with a b. I've started reading Lolita, and have checked out 2001: A Space Odyssey (film) from the library. I'm almost dreading watching it. Damn you, Kubrick!

Anyway, I'm tired and Paranoia Agent is starting. Not that I really care, but it seems like a good reason doesn't it. I do like this beginning though; it's so weird.

In honor of Christa's excellent gift (Harrius Potter et Philosophi Lapis) and my obtaining Photoshop CS2, I've made a few icons. Actually, it's one icon with 3 real variations and the template-type-thingy.

All new icons. All by me. I call the set "Great Dictators of the Twentieth Century." Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini. I realize there are many others, but these are really my favorites. The original idea was inspired by an icon of yogurt which I saw over at awesome_layouts. After I saw it, I just needed to make these icons.

Ok kids. Today is the Faulkner project. Tomorrow is the women in philosophy, religion, and sports project. The hopefully Monday and Tuesday will be SNOW DAYS.

I haven't showered in a little over 2 days. Thanksgiving was good. I need to actually work on my paper, my Pericles powerpoint, and college apps. I've done nothing but watched TV and movies and read inordinate amounts of fic that tell the same story over and over again, with slightly different characterizations and witty banter with some angst thrown in.

I suck at life.

Yeah, it occurs to me that I've never really told anybody at Villa that story. What can I say? I'm a private person, but I needed an interesting essay. Writing it made me cry. I'm such a dork.
Oh yeah, I made a few of new icons from CD covers. The Shins and Wilco, I think. Also, the new layout is the Shins' Oh Inverted World cd cover. Yeah, I'm a nerd.

Only new icon I've made in a while. I was thinking about putting some Mr. Brightside lyrics on it. But I'm just too lazy.

I now see why everyone is talking about this new update page. WTF?
