I Am Trying Not To Have A Bad Day

Why am I awake at 4 am? I don't have anything due tomorrow, and I was really sleepy during Talk Sex w/ SuJo, but I haven't been able to fall asleep. More like I haven't tried to fall asleep. Oh well. I've been thinking more and more recently about actually trying to become a sex columnist. I'm not sure about this whole thing. Maybe I'll contact the Freep about it, even though it's a terrible, terrible, terrible paper. Maybe I'll just write Savage a letter. Maybe, maybe, maybe.

In other life news, I think the trip to London/Norway is actually going to happen! I'm so excited because I've never been to either, because both are supposedly awesome, and because FUCK YESS BRC ABROAD! This has been, what, nearly six years in the making? I hear Bergen is really cool, admittedly from Mike, but he loves Norway so I figure he'll know best of all my friends. I'm also excited to try and learn Norwegian. It shouldn't be too hard; it's just the pronunciation.

Anyway, I'm going to try to turn in now. I just know I'm going to hate tomorrow.

ALSO, CHRISTMAS IS COMING!

He's Gone Under the Boat!

Ok, so BRC: I pretty much have the entirety of FMA on my computer right now. Perhaps we should add that to the list of things-to-hold-a-marathon-of-over-hols?

I need sleeeeeeeep so badly. I've sneezed probably 80,000 times today, and each time, my throat feels like it's exploding. That's no good, children.

Jaws is on TV. Apparently, Verity really digs it. I think it's because the nerdy scientist ends up as everyone's savior.
Dear LJ,

Please, stop sending me random comment e-mails. Yes, I'm aware that alienannie replied to my January 5, 2005 post. I replied that day.

Thanks.

All the best,
Kirsten

P.S. It's really cold in Boston. Like, really cold. Plus, this wind doesn't help at all.

P.P.S. Manda, I KNOW.

It May Seem Like A Stretch

Just got back from taking the Core humanities mid-term. It went alright. I saw Isaac, with whom I studied last night, and he told me he slept through his spanish midterm today. I felt bad but laughed because when do I not laugh at others' misfortune.

I've been crying a lot lately. It's starting to make me worried. Maybe I just shouldn't listen to so much sad music. Maybe I'm misplacing homesickness. Either is equally as likely.

There was a new chapter of Cartographer's Craft last night. Still no new Laocoon's Children, but he apparently has grown to hate that series, so I wouldn't be surprised if it goes unfinished, although I would hate that because it's brilliant!

Now, to translate a bit of Odes 3.4 before class so when she calls on me I can labor through four lines very inexpertly translated by yours truly.

BRC in 3 days! And Manda's birthday tomorrow!

Rosemary Lip Gloss on a Full Moon Night

Guess who's back? Oh yeah, it's me. Picked up a few new icons as a welcome back present to myself.

New hard drive accompanied by a new knowledge of the inferiority of Gateway as a computer company. Well, knowledge is always a good thing I suppose.

I'm definitely skipping my first lecture tomorrow.

BRC, you'll be here in a week and a half, yes? I'm terribly excited.

Wow, this entry is really disjointed.

No One Deserves It

So, Elliott Smith songs can still break my heart, namely Twilight and Pitseleh. College is fun. I'm marginally afraid of my latin professor because I'm not terribly strong in that class, and now I find out that she's my faculty advisor. Even though I haven't been updating regularly lately, I'm still on top of my friends lists, well, now that I've dropped the layout rating communities.

So, I really enjoy my humanities class discussion group, and Verity is convinced that the professor hates everyone in the class except for me, which makes me happy! Greek is more challenging than I had anticipated, but nothing unmanageable. Science is alright; some lectures are boring, some are fun. And, we all know how wonderful my latin class is. I just love translation 150-175 lines of horace per week. I can't wait for that final.

I need to find things for the BRC to do in Boston when they come up in October. I will scour the city for fun things.

P.S. myTunes redux and a network that connects me to at least 5000 songs at any one time are amazing. Plus, the schools T1 connection doesn't hurt.

quick review

The interesting things that have happened lately: Otakon, Christa now ships R/S, SHOEBOX UPDATE OHEMGEESTUFFYOU!, I go away in 13 days, Kyo Kara Maoh is hilarious, Gravi is once again my yaoi love, Prince of Tennis is fun, DEATHNOTE IS BRILLIANT, and that's all I can think of for you, even though it probably doesn't help.

I'm surprised by how far behind I was on friends, icon comms, r/s fic, & long MWPP fic (my filters). I haven't even looked at layout comms because I'm so scared. I haven't read that filter in a month. I'll plow through that later.

My hair stands completely on end when I don't wash it for days. Right now, I have a unicorn horn that's been upright for 2 hours, made simply out of my hair. It's about seven inches tall. Which is why I'm going to shower now.

Huzzah. I love ladyjaida and dorkorific. Spike TV totally uses the old Hardy Boys entrance music in their bumps. Don't think I don't notice, Spike; I do.

OW

Ow, fucking ow! I haven't worn my retainers in, I don't know, almost three years. They fucking kill. But my tooth felt as though it were moving, and I can't have that, so retainers it is.

Probably leaving for the shore in about twelve(12) hours. And Manda is waiting with gummies. I'm so excited, I could just spit! Ok, well, I can't, because I don't have the proper appendage, but I feel like RuPaul did in that Confederate flag dress. Ok, I was going to post a picture, but I only have the VHS and the laptop is slower than molasses in January in the Yukon territory.

Yours Truly

So, I saw the Jon Frederik Band with Jacque today in NYC. She's got this thing with the bassist, so I met the whole band and such. They were really cool guys, all from Boston or the general area. I hope to see them in the fall when I go to school. Their sound is very commercial; they could very easily be on the radio right now, and I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing right now.

I downloaded the Cowboy Bebop Soundtrack Limited Box set today. I know it will be good. Last night I watched Ballad of Fallen Angels. I think that may be my favorite episode, although I do love Jupiter Jazz (if only for Gren). Anyway, I'm beat. To bed.

BRC meeting soon to discuss HBP happenings and theories!! Kristin, you better be done that book!!

I've Seen This Room

Pope John Paul II, you rocked in life. You rock even harder in death because you get me a day off from school. Friday, April 8. Whatsoever shall I do with the free time? One again, thank you JPII.

Today, MTG informed me that I'm not the "average Villa girl." And I love Annie-san/Mai Anh and will miss her terribly next year. Annie, I will buy you a plane ticket to Boston so you can visit me.

Tomorrow, mini-Quintessence/BRC meeting at Kristin's because she has Publisher. That guarantees to be tons of fun. Also, I must work on the Poet Laureate posters. Violets and Pansies, must remember violets and pansies.

ETA: Dude, it's 4/5. It's now been officially 11 years since Kurt Cobain splattered his cranial matter all over his attic.
