You In The Jesus Sandals

Alright, children, I just got a free upgrade to a fancy yousendit account; however, it only lasts another thirty days. So I am compiling this list of the music on my computer for you to comb through, if you'd like anything comment with the item and an email address where I can get to you.

( Going into this, I know it's going to take me foreverCollapse )

Oh my God, that took me hours (as in, it's now 4:46am). I'm never doing that again.

I Really Am That Shallow

I really love About A Boy. I should read that book because if it's even better than the movie, I won't know want to do with myself. I am currently watching it on TV (USA actually, one of the rare moments when it's not rerunning SVU episodes) and downloading its soundtrack, which is, I believe, all Badly Drawn Boy.

Also, I've started reading Elliott Smith and the Big Nothing, the nearly ridiculously fanboy-ish biography. It is informative if not entirely well put together. But it's about Elliott, and it is heartfelt so I'm all for it.

IT'S CHRISTMAS EVE!

I'm dying for a cigarette, but it's cold and dark outside.

No One Deserves It

So, Elliott Smith songs can still break my heart, namely Twilight and Pitseleh. College is fun. I'm marginally afraid of my latin professor because I'm not terribly strong in that class, and now I find out that she's my faculty advisor. Even though I haven't been updating regularly lately, I'm still on top of my friends lists, well, now that I've dropped the layout rating communities.

So, I really enjoy my humanities class discussion group, and Verity is convinced that the professor hates everyone in the class except for me, which makes me happy! Greek is more challenging than I had anticipated, but nothing unmanageable. Science is alright; some lectures are boring, some are fun. And, we all know how wonderful my latin class is. I just love translation 150-175 lines of horace per week. I can't wait for that final.

I need to find things for the BRC to do in Boston when they come up in October. I will scour the city for fun things.

P.S. myTunes redux and a network that connects me to at least 5000 songs at any one time are amazing. Plus, the schools T1 connection doesn't hurt.

Can't Talk About It Now

I've just ordered True Romance and Gangster No.1; I'm very excited (Thewlis and Gaz! Squee!). Also, today I bought Beautiful Girls, Rushmore, Cheats, Anchorman, House of Flying Daggers, and Young Adam. That makes $60 spent today on movies alone. I really do have a problem. Some people buy shoes, I buy movies.

Michelle, Jake, and Cara are visiting from New Hampshire, which is nice. I don't remember if I've made the announcement that my "dorm" next year is room 428 at the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge. Unfortunately, and I've only just found this out today, it's only for the fall semester. Oh well, it's sweet anyway. I've contacted my roommate, Verity, who seems cool and funny. I'm more excited than nervous right now. Today I had to sign all the papers for my loan, so I feel very old.

I don't sleep like a normal human being, and I don't know why. Yesterday I didn't go to sleep until 6:30 this morning, and then I got woken up at 12:30. I don't know why I'm still awake because I don't do anything while not sleeping. I just laze about and read. That's usually all I do: read; I sometimes watch TV or turn on a movie, but that usually makes me fall asleep. I watched the sunrise this morning while smoking a cigarette out back. I felt old again. Or rather, for the first time today. I want to download Mogwai - Rock Action, but I'm working on downloading Cowboy Bebop (I may give this up because it's HUGE).

Alright, this has no point. I need to shower, but I won't be doing anything about that tonight.

This song skips.

Yours Truly

So, I saw the Jon Frederik Band with Jacque today in NYC. She's got this thing with the bassist, so I met the whole band and such. They were really cool guys, all from Boston or the general area. I hope to see them in the fall when I go to school. Their sound is very commercial; they could very easily be on the radio right now, and I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing right now.

I downloaded the Cowboy Bebop Soundtrack Limited Box set today. I know it will be good. Last night I watched Ballad of Fallen Angels. I think that may be my favorite episode, although I do love Jupiter Jazz (if only for Gren). Anyway, I'm beat. To bed.

BRC meeting soon to discuss HBP happenings and theories!! Kristin, you better be done that book!!

Last Days

Gus Van Sant, diredtor of Good Will Hunting, is made a new movie "loosely" based on the life of Kurt Cobain. The film follows a suicidal Seattle rocker in his final hours, hence the title Last Days.

Here is an example of Pitt as 'Blake,' who looks just like Cobain.

Over the weekend, I got bittorrent and have been downloading like a motherfucker. Got Photoshop cs, Hot Hot Heat - Make Up the Breakdown, Mitch Hedberg's Strategic Grill Locations & Mitch All Together, winRar, Nero Burning Rom, winamp pro, and I'm now downloading Beck - Stereopathic Soul Manure.

Tonight I'm going to see Maria in Godspell at Ghost. I need to get those seven dollars so I can pay her for buying my ticket. Bollocks.
We visited Michelle, Jake, and le baby in NH this weekend. It was a wonderful, lazy weekend. Sunday, Brian and I went into Boston while Jake worked and we had a good time. I bought Elliott Smith's Roman Candle and we ate at a delicious Korean & Japanese restaurant. Relied heavily on the japanese only. Korean food is kind of gross, in my opinion. Kim chi = disgusting. I was surprised at how spicy Korean food is.

Today, I'm supposed to be doing stuff for film, but Casey hasn't sent me anything. I'm starting to get nervous. Our presentation is tomorrow.

Oh yeah, in NH some band was practicing across the street from Michelle and Jake's and they started to play the 5,6,7,8's. Was very entertaining.

Also, am downloading Adobe Photoshop CS with bit torrent. So sweet.

gip

darkbelle has rekindled my trigun love. downloaded the song from teh end of episode 23 "paradise." i want to cry.

Impending Suicide

I feel so overwhelmed by my workload right now, it's ridiculous. I have no idea how people who have jobs or play sports maintain grades. I am so inept at properly managing my time. Oh, well. I only have 28 schooldays left. I think I can deal. And I have Harry Potter to look forward to.

I've had no oppurtunities to do anything LJ related besides reading my friends' page. Hopefully, after like mid-May I'll be cool. Oh man, that's so depressing.

On a happier note, I downloaded Room on Fire, and some of Get Born, so at least I have good music to listen to. OK, ta dollhearts. Take care of yourselves.
