My weeks seem to be getting busier. Maybe that is why I have to catch up on two posts in one night. This week has been busier than last. Tim has been home a little more this week and we once again had our 2 play dates, but we also had a third play date this week with a neighbor from down the street. Now it is time to prep for the holidays! I am exhausted just thinking about it.

Week 5
My weeks seem to be getting busier. Maybe that is why I have to catch up on two posts in one night. This week has been busier than last. Tim has been home a little more this week and we once again had our 2 play dates, but we also had a third play date this week with a neighbor from down the street. Now it is time to prep for the holidays! I am exhausted just thinking about it.
Week 4: Busy, Busy
So, my post for this week for is a little late.
We have been busy. Last week we got into the hang of things and even had 2 play dates. On Tuesday Tim was home. On Wednesday we went to our play date out here at the LDS church from 10-12. It was great conversation and company! Then on Thursday we went over to some friends in Missoula and had another play date with 5 other mother's and their kids, we had a wonderful breakfast. Needless to say that between play dates, naps, and running errands, our days are full! But we also managed to get some outdoor activities in... here is Brock playing in the fall leaves as I attempted to rake them up.

Week 3: Getting the Hang of Things
(Disclaimer: We were watching Brock really closely as he sat on our counter, when Tim was not taking pictures he was behind Brock holding him ... adult supervision was a must! Do not attempt at home.)
So Brock and I are starting to get the hang of things around our house. This has been week three in my adventures as a stay at home mom, and I am starting to feel like I can sink my teeth into it. (we will see what the dentist says about that next week...ha ha ha)
But here are some pictures of Brock and I baking cookies one evening. It was a lot of fun. I am having a blast teaching Brock how to help me with chores around the house, like starting the dishwasher, baking cookies, washing clothes, ect. It is pretty neat that he finds it so interesting. I am going to enjoy it while I can, since I do realize that one day, he will not find these things so interesting anymore.

Week 2
Happy Halloween!
This past weekend was Halloween. As we prepped for the holiday, I was gagging. I do not like slimy things. Carving pumpkins kind of pushes my limits. But what we do for our children...
Tim was procrastinating because he did not want to deal with the mess either.
So finally Brock and I decided to dig in.
He found it very interesting and enjoyable.
As usual, it is always hard to try to get a picture of our munchkin when you are the only adult in the house. He loves the camera and runs right for you. So for now, this is the best shot I could get of him in his Tigger costume. Not to mention that he did not like the ears to be up. But it was pretty cute when he found his tail between his legs when he sat down. I will have to put it back on him and try to take another picture of him.
But as for our second week of our new life, things seem to be going pretty well. Brock and I are starting to get a new routine down. He seems to be calmer, me too, or it could just be that we are both tolerating the chaos a little better.
And can you believe it...I am a couple of days behind, but I am semi close to keeping up on this blog for you all! I can't believe it myself.
I have folded the laundry. Brock is down for his nap. His after noon snack just got finished cooking and tonight we are going over to Adam and Kari's for dinner.
Tim has been away for the last 4 days for work. Brock lights up every time he hears his daddy's voice.
The other day at the breakfast table, Brock even pointed too our family picture and said Daddy. It was distinct and I know he meant it. So I will have to say that Brock's official first word was Daddy.
As for our routine, Brock is finally sleeping in his crib for his naps. I believe it was harder for me to adjust that one since I love cuddling with my little guy. But to replace it, I have decided (as of today) that I am just going to have to enjoy a quick 10 minute mediation next to Brock's crib as he drifts off into dreamland. Then, sneak out and hustle back to the chaos.
As for now, I am going to sign off and enjoy the remaining moments of silence before Brock wakes up.
Until next week...
