Happy Birthday

Happy 1st Birthday Brock!
This past weekend was fun filled. We had all of Tim's brothers in town. Craig, Rhonda and 3 of their children stayed with us.
We ended up getting together with all 6 of Tim's brothers and their families (17 grandchildren for Tim's mom and dad...talk about a big family!)
We celebrated Brock's 1st birthday with them, and then also had a birthday party at our house on Labor Day (Brock was born on Labor Day).
We also did two other firsts this weekend...got our first FAMILY photo's and Brock got his first haircut.
Above you will see Brock's Birthday cake. An Inchworm.

He's ready!

Umm. Why don't you guys ever give me more of this stuff?? Because, you didn't sleep worth a darn that night!

Brock loves the bulldozer his father made him. Yep, hand crafted by Timbob. The bulldozer even lifts up and down! He is one crafty guy! And look at Brock's smile!

Brock's first haircut. Afterwords I shed one small tear realizing that my little munchkin is really growing up. As he crawled away down the hall after his haircut, I told Tim that I felt that my little guy just signed up with the Army (type of haircut). He will no longer have his baby fluffy mop. (tear)

My not so little munchkin getting read a story by his father.

This day one year ago, a blessing came to Tim and I. I cannot believe it has been a year already. My little munchkin is growing up before my eyes. A lot has happened in the last year. But today we celebrated the day he was born, September 7th, 2009 at 9:33 am, our life changed forever. No more sleeping in, or for that matter, no more sleeping a whole nights rest without waking up. Lots of laughter and love. It has been one amazing year watching this little munchkin progress with all of his firsts. He amazes me every day with something new. But my favorites were his first roll over, his first laugh, and by far...his first smile on request. I will have that little face embedded in my memory for the years to come when I send him to the mad corner, remembering how sweet and angelic he can be. Oh how I love this little guy!!!
