Haircuts

The fabulous Aunt Janelle to the rescue. They both had such a great time. CG loved looking at herself in the mirror and HW was a wiggle worm. This is not their first haircut or anything, it's just so rare that I'm posting about it.

Thanksgiving

What a great thanksgiving we had. Jon's family came to visit. We invited lots of friends and had a blast.

Half Marathon

The Lambs are at it again. This year was a little different for me because I had my first ever running buddy. Normally, I enjoy the quiet open road of a run but my neighbor and friend Christine asked me to run with her. It has been really great. On days when I would normally sleep in, I get up because I know she is out there waiting for me. She also really pushed me to pick up my pace. As a result I had my personal best finishing time of 1:52! Jon did great as always at 1:35! He is a stud.

Halloween

CG had a preschool Halloween Party. They got to wear their costumes, parade around the gym, and sing cute little songs they learned. CG did amazing. I was so proud of her standing up there singing away.

Then on Halloween, we bundled up (coldest it's been yet) and went door to door begging for candy. Anyone else find this weird?!

Cabelas

Sometimes you just need a new place to take the kids. This particular day, it was Cabelas. Quite the destination.

Pumpkin Patch

Our annual trip to the Pumpkin Patch. This year Nana and Uncle Ben were able to join us. I love going here. It's so close and fun!

HW: I'm 2!!

Little man is two years old! He excites my heart and stretches me in ways I never imagined.

HW is a snuggle bug. Recently, he has taken to playing with my hair when I hold him. It's cute. He can be shy at first but I can see him coming out of his shell every day.

He is a talker! Not just little words here and there, but like full on sentences. It's really amazing to me. And of course he talks in third person.

HW has great balance, fine motor skills, and just overall better control of himself (trying not to compare, but compared to his sister at this age). I'm wondering if it's a boy thing, second child thing, or just a HW thing.

CG is his best bud. This child loves his big sister. Everything she does, he wants to do. CG started going to preschool and at first he had a hard time. I could tell he was a little down without his partner in crime. However, now he seems to be cool with it.

He is the slowest eater. Everyone is done with a meal and he has just started. It's like he wants to watch everyone eat then make us watch him.

Loves being outside.

Orange is his favorite color. He lights up when he sees it.

Diggers, trains, fire trucks! All.the.time.

I haven't even attempted potty training. Although he has started to tell me that he needs to go poop. That's fun. One day he came and said, "Change HW's diaper please."

I love HW so much. He is ALWAYS happy and filled with joy (except when he has a cold). He is all boy with a sweet soft heart who likes to push the line.

Diapers

A couple of weeks ago we said goodbye to diapers for this girl. She has done so well. She has been potty trained for a while but we still used a pull-up at night. Since we went diaper free we have had no accidents.

Story time

Monday mornings we have taken to visiting the library. They have a story time at 9:30 that we love. So we go, listen, play and hangout. This week we got a bonus, a real chicken!!

First Farm

Our first fall event for the season. Dirt, corn bath, food, hay ride, pumpkin patch, music, and friends.

Field Trip

CG and I got to go on our first field trip together! It was so much fun. I was looking forward to being with just her with no little brother around. We had a blast.
