Thanksgiving and Carolina Football

There was plenty of turkey and plenty of football this Thanksgiving in North Carolina! Alston and I flew down from New York on Wednesday night and spent Thanksgiving at our house with a whole boatload of family members! Mom had the house decorated beautifully and the weather was so warm we were able to grab a couple pictures of the cousins with Grandma Lois outside on the back deck!

Then on Saturday it was over to Chapel Hill for the UNC v. Duke game. Turned COLD and we all had to bundle up for tailgating and cheering on the Heels (who won in overtime by the skin of their teeth!)

The Game: Harvard v. Yale

On November 17th, the Yale Bulldogs welcomed the Harvard Crimson to The Yale Bowl in New Haven, CT for the 124th annual match up known as "The Game." All the Yalies love the tradition of tailgating for this event and because Tommy played football at Yale, its even more fun to hang out with all the past players and watch them relive glory days! :) Sadly, Yale lost this year and Harvard snagged the Ivy League Championship but after a day of tailgating with family and friends, no one seemed to notice! We started the day at Jim Nandorf's tailgate - Dorf is turning 40 so he threw a huge party in a tent with TONS of food and even commemorative t-shirts! Then, after the game, we went to hang out with Carrie and Brian at the Harvard tailgate. It was a great weekend and we can't wait to do it next year in Boston!

Girls Weekend in Catskills

This past weekend, the girls and I traveled to upstate New York to take advantage of the fall leaves before it got too cold and too snowy! Jenny found a cute bed and breakfast for us to stay in and we had a great time watching movies in our PJ's, hiking and visiting the local vineyard. It was nice to have a weekend away from the city with the girls!
