Cocktails and Tapas for Anne

Next June one of my oldest and dearest friends, Anne Forsyth, is getting married. I've known Anne since 2nd grade and we've been lucky to follow each other throughout our life - growing up in Raleigh together, going to college together, moving up North together - she has been there for me in every step! To celebrate all things Anne, her bridesmaids got together this past weekend to throw her a New York City version of a bridal shower - lots of tapas, lots of wine & sangria and LOTS of presents! We had a blast at Divine Bar and then a bunch of the girls got their dancing shoes on and went out on the town afterward! Sadly, Cason and I were fighting bad colds/coughs so the "Wheezy Twins" didn't stay out - we retreated to my apartment for television, cough syrup and kleenex!

Carolina on my Mind

This past weekend I went to visit Tommy and watch UNC take on USC. Unfortunately the Heels didn't pull through for us on Saturday but we did have a great time! I got to meet all of Tommy's business school friends and we had a great time tailgating! The Proto's and the Hopkin's joined us and we ate Mrs. Hunter's delicious low country boil and Katie's UNC cupcakes!

What a weekend! Almost a year ago, I picked up my cell phone to answer a call from my friend Marie thinking to myself "The only reason Marie would be calling me this early in the morning is to tell me she is engaged!" And sure enough, I was right!

This weekend, Jared DiPalma and Marie Golden got married at College of the Holy Cross and it was a GORGEOUS wedding and an even more gorgeous reception! We had an amazing time and I feel SO lucky that I was able to be there to celebrate these two truly amazing people.

Now that Marie is married I guess our weekly "Date Night" is officially an "Affair" - hope you don't mind her cheating on you with me, Jared! Love you guys!

NYC Lights the Night

Last night was the NYC Light the Night walk. The Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's nationwide walk to raise awareness and funds to cure leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Our team raised over $1000.00 dollars! Here is a quick pic of Lollie, Neesa, Kelly and me down at South Street Seaport by the Brooklyn Bridge.

Jane takes Manhattan

This past weekend Mom came up to have a "Girls Weekend". We were able to shop, eat, see a Broadway play and in general do what we wanted to do without having to worry about what the boys wanted! On Sunday morning, we got up and had brunch at The Boathouse in Central Park and then walked around the park for a bit before heading off to see "Wicked" at the Gershwin Theater. It was a great weekend and I'm looking forward to the next one - this time maybe we can come to Charlotte and stay with you Katie?
