Bouncing off the walls and building a fence

 Last night Lily got bathwater on her pi’s.  Will was already asleep in her room, so I told Lily she would have to wear a pair of Andrew’s. Lily was ecstatic and picked out this pair. The rest of the night she kept telling me “ I look like Andrew!” I also like the blur of Andrew running down the hallway. Every night at 7 pm Andrew and Lily get a burst of energy and run all over the house.

 Uh oh, good thing Daddy is at work :) They were literally bouncing off the wall that night.

 I have a picture of the each kid with Decker. So it was time to get Will’s picture with her. Decker is very patient with Will, she lets him pull her fur and grab her tail.  Decker is around 9 years old.

Decker has been jumping our fence for the past 3 years. She finally got caught by the city…  So we are putting up a privacy fence now to keep Decker in the backyard.

 Andrew had fun this weekend digging in the dirt to help place the poles and he practiced his hammering.

 The weather was beautiful this weekend and a lot of work got done.

On Monday the kids ate lunch outside in the tent. We are enjoying these spring days before the heat comes this summer.

Valentines Day 2014

Happy Valentines Day! We had grand time celebrating this year.

 Andrew loved his valentines party at school this year. On the eve of Valentines day, Andrew told me he couldn’t go to sleep because he was too excited about Valentines day! In the morning I had their little gifts at the table waiting for them, after Andrew opened his gift he asked where the rest of the presents are! Since Christmas, his birthday and now valentines day, Andrew has gotten presents every month.

 I love Andrew so much he has become a wonderful helper. Tonight he decided that he no longer wants to sit in his booster seat at the kitchen table, he wants to sit in the regular chair.

 I love Lily, I can’t believe this sweet girl is about to be 3. Lily has a amazing vocabulary and communicates verbally so well.

I love Will. Will is always on the move, if he is not exploring looking for trouble, he is trying to play with Andrew and Lily.

On Valentines day we worked in the yard and then went to Nana’s house to see the Hanson’s.

11 months old!

Tomorrow Will is going to be 11 months old! The big news around our house is that at 10 months old Will has started taking steps! He is walking about 6-9 steps at a time, I am still not used to looking across the room and seeing Will walking. Will is so proud of his walking and loves getting praise from all of us. Lily loves to say “Look Mama, Will is walking!” when she see him stepping around the house.

I love Will’s smile in this picture. This is why I have multiple pictures that are practically the same. I love my dslr camera and how it takes photos so fast to catch the smiles.

 Last month I wrote about how Will is always finding fun new things to get into. He still is doing that, he is always busy, we are having baby proof again. The other day I found Will standing in the rocking chair with no hands! Ahhhh! Will was so proud, I got him down, then I got my phone out, put Will down and he crawled over to the chair and repeated this trick, so I took a picture. Then I put the chair away. Another Ahhh moment was when Andrew called me into his room and Will had climbed up to the third rung on the ladder to Andrew’s bed. Thankfully Andrew was holding him/ spotting him so he wouldn’t fall.  I did not want to reenact that trick for a picture! Will loves to climb on that ladder. I have a feeling he will end up mastering climbing up it sooner than I would have wanted. Andrew is such a good helper, I was so proud of Andrew’s common sense to try to keep Will safe and to alert me. I know keep the bathroom door shut and both Lily and Andrew know to tell me if Will is in the bathroom because Will loves to play in the toilet and he can climb/fall into the bathtub. A common question I ask during the day is “where is Will?"

 I can’t believe Lily will be 3 in one short month. She looks more like a 3 year old in this picture than a 2 year old. Lily has been working hard at potty training for the past couple of weeks. She talks about her birthday party all the time and keeps telling me that she is turning 5 not 3.

 Will loves to eat, he always wants to eat whatever the big kids are eating. He has snuck a sip of Lily’s cows milk and he liked it. I hope he likes it in a month.

Will slept through the night one night last week, he was sick so he sleep better. I enjoyed that night so much, especially since I was sick to. When Will is healthy he still wakes up once a night to eat and goes right back to bed. Will has been a early bird lately waking a 6 am most days.

Will loves to play with the big kids, he is happiest outside crawling around. I think he will like spring a lot. Andrew and Lily are so patient and loving to Will.

Stomping around the stockshow

Last week Andrew’s preschool class took a field trip to the stock show. It was a cold day, so we bundled up and had a fun time learning about the animals.  A 4-H student was our tour guide to show us around the different barns. I had fun watching Andrew interact with his classmates, Lily loved getting to tag along with Andrew’s class, she loves the idea of going to school.

 Andrew loved the petting zoo, he and his friends ran around petting and trying to pick up animals.

Lily did not love the petting zoo, she got scared when a goat came close to her, so she was carried out and enjoyed watching Andrew and his friends chase the animals. I had to remember that these animals in the petting zoo were about the same size or bigger than Lily so it would be a little over whelming.

As you can tell I didn’t get a lot of pictures, because it was cold and I wore Will in my ergo carrier but we had a fun time. Will did great, and stayed nice and warm in the ergo. It was fun going as a group and having extra eyes and hands to help with the kids.

Hip Hip Hooray!!!! Bobby is a FNP!

On Tuesday Bobby took his big test to become a board certified family nurse practitioner. He has been studying hard for this test and it had kinda been keeping us from full out celebrating his graduation. His degree doesn’t mean much at all without passing this test. Tuesday came and he drove off to Hurst to take his test and he passed!!!! He found out after the test the printer spits out a sheet of paper that tells you if you passed. Ahh relief, after 4.5 years it is over!!!! I am sooo proud of Bobby, he has worked so hard and has been so disciplined studying and working hard. Bobby has learned so much, he is not one to brag or call attention to himself, but he has learned so much, it blows me away sometimes all of the drugs and diseases that he knows about. There were so many times it felt like school was never going to end. Now it all is over! The last step is waiting for all of the paper work to be processed and then Bobby can start his new job and never work nights again!!! I am sure I will blog about that too when it happens.

I baked a cake to celebrate on Tuesday, I believed that he would pass the test, but if he didn’t I was prepared to quietly give it to our neighbors and not mention it to Bobby. 

During Bobby’s first semester of graduate school, Andrew came down with H1N1 flu, this was the week of Bobby’s big end of the semester presentation and his final exam was a few days later. We were nervous wrecks so scared Bobby was going to get sick. Thankfully he didn’t get sick. At the end of every semester there is some sort of sickness in our house. The most memorable one was this past year when Bobby took a final exam with a very active stomach bug. Last Friday before the test I started feeling sick, with cold like symptoms. On Sunday all 3 kids and I were sick, Bobby woke up Monday not feeling great. Of course we all got sick right before his big test. Bobby didn’t complain although I could tell he wasn’t feeling great.

 Bobby got home at around 5 pm on Tuesday, since none of us were feeling super healthy we ordered pizza, ate the blue cake (UTA colors are blue) and watched Peter Pan.
