Sweet Dreams

Bobby and I were able to sneak a picture of Andrew sleeping. It is so fun to check on him before we go to bed and see what crazy position he is in.

Andrew is becoming very picky about his bedding. He keeps taking the pillow case off of his pillow because the fabric is softer on the pillow.

My baby boy fills up the crib. As you can tell from the picture he is still really into guitars, most nights he requests to wear his guitar pjs, occasionally he will wear a pair with footballs, baseballs, or basketballs. These pj pants are so cute, because they are so wild looking.

The other night Bobby let Andrew try going to bed in his big boy bed. Bobby tucked him in and turned on a lamp. Ten minuets latter Andrew was crying hard and was sitting on the bed scared. It broke both of our hearts. I am fine with him staying in the crib until he is ready to move beds.

Lily is wearing a hair bow without a headband! I think her hair is getting longer. I don't know how, but I think it is getting lighter, and she is not loosing it? I love all her dark hair it is so beautiful.

I love the personality that it coming out of this little lady. She wakes up from her naps full of smiles and lots of cooing and talking. She loves to listen to people talk right now, in lifegroup she was all smiles looking at the people talking like a little adult a part of the conversation.

The past couple of weeks I have been praying for Lily to be a good friend that she would be known as a loving friend and always including others in the fun.
Today Andrew was eating a snack on the couch before bed and I was shocked how old Andrew looked and acted right then. He is growing up so fast. Last week Andrew started answering questions with "yah" and "yes." It has really been nice having him communicate verbally to us.

This past week Andrew started showing off some of his knowledge identifying letters and numbers verbally.

This morning Andrew told me he wanted cheese and fries for breakfast and wanted it outside. Outside and fries are his 2 favorite words lately.

I love the silly personality that comes out at home, Andrew plays with hats, sunglasses, and wears Lily toys as watches.

In the blog I always type Andrew, but at home I am noticing that I have been calling him Drew more. His silly side, has me calling him Drew more. It will be interesting what he will call himself. He currently is still "bubba," that is the only name he refers to himself as for now.

We are so thankful for these 2 adorable kids.

Half a decade

Today is our 5 year wedding anniversary! Half a decade, in August Bobby and I will have dated/ been married for 10 years that is more than 1/3 our lives. Here is a little look down memory lane.

One of my favorite pictures of all times, this was taken at camp travis the summer before we started college. We have no idea who took this picture, it was printed and left on a table at church and a friend found it and gave it to us.

We met in August right before our senior year of high school on a church trip to the lake. Bobby took me out on our first date on Aug. 12th (my dad's birthday) we went to Boston Market and drove around looking for snow cones. I talked Bobby's "ear off" and I have been doing that ever since.

On September 2nd 2005 Bobby took me to eat dinner at On the Boarder and took me to a park in Lubbock we fed the duck and then he made me a fruit salad for dessert. He then washed my feet, read me a letter and got down on one knee to propose. I then came home to a apartment full of flowers and candy.

I was perfect and I was completely surprised.

On our second anniversary we were packing up to move to Fort Worth at the end of that week.

On our third anniversary I thought I might be pregnant fast forward a week or so and we find out Andrew is on his way.

Our fourth anniversary we went to Jamaica to celebrate.

That brings us to our 5th anniversary. We celebrated on Tuesday (Bobby works tonight). We spent the day around the house enjoying the beautiful weather.

We had a picnic in the front yard. That was the easiest way to get Andrew to eat a good lunch, he really enjoyed our special lunch.

That night Bobby and I went to Chuy's for dinner and walked around Trinity Park downtown. It was so wonderful to eat dinner just the 2 of us and talk.

Bobby hasn't felt very great, so our grill out that we originally planned on doing for our anniversary is postponed until June. If we are going to spend money on expensive steak we want to make sure we both can enjoy it.

It feels like yesterday we were starting our life together, time goes by to fast. We are loving the adventure and journey. Every year we learn more and more about each other. We have changed a lot in the past 5 years and we are curious what the next 5 years hold for us.

Look closely, do you see something of Lily's that Andrew has on? When Andrew is in a silly mood he puts her headbands on like bow ties and thinks it is funny. I was finally able to capture it in a picture. This is especially cute because it matches his shirt, and no this was not planned. Lily's bow from the night before was out on the coffee table and I happened to have my camera close by.

Bumbo beginnings

Guess who sat in the bumbo chair for the first time yesterday.

Lily really liked it, I thought she would because she loves to sit up in our laps.

It feels like yesterday that this little guy was sitting in the bumbo chair. This is one of my all time favorite pictures of Andrew. I have it framed in his room.

Giggles and Grins

I can't stop taking pictures of this sweet little lady.

It is fun to see the different personality Lily already has. Andrew was a serious man from birth at 2 months old he would do these adorable half smiles that remind me of Bobby. Lily currently "cheeses it up for me." After she wakes up from a nap she is all grins and coos at me. Lately she has been a laid back little lady, she is happy to be in the moby wrap, as long as momma is walking around. It has been the best $40 I have spent on baby stuff, it is used at least everyday, most days several times a day. I need to wash it but I am using it so much it is hard to find the right time. She loves to stand or sit, and doesn't like to be on her back, especially the car seat, or being held where you can see her face. She has started the drooling stage, so I will need to get the bibs out. Right now we see lots of cute little drool bubbles.

Everyday Life

Andrew showing off his new seat, it is handy for mealtime when Bobby isn't here, Andrew is able to get in and out on his own. My hands are usually busy holding, or feeding Lily or preparing the other "courses" for Andrew's meal. So now we need a kiddie place mat, hopefully I will remember next time I am at Walmart.

This past week has been fun, but I am so glad it is over. Bobby was off for 6 days, too bad he spent 5 of the 6 studying for around 10-14 hours a day. Pharmacology is over!!!! He has to work the weekend :( but I am looking forward to a little break in school for him.

In other news Andrew's passi is dying. We have been cutting slits and chunks out of it and now he can't really hold it in his mouth. We talk about how it is getting old and broken because he is a big boy now and not a baby so pretty soon it will go bye bye in the trash because Andrew is a big boy. The passi is still around it just doesn't function like it should, as a result Andrew has been waking up earlier, taking a loooong time to fall asleep at night and not napping well, if at all. Of course this is all going on while Bobby is studying like crazy and little sister is fussy from her shots. I had a few long days this week with a 2 year old not getting much sleep, which leads to hard evenings of tired crankiness for Andrew and me! I am hoping soon this transition will end, so far it is going okay. Andrew is loosing interest in the passi but still wants it in his crib.

Mother's Day 2011

I had a great mothers day this year, we had a relaxing day of church, lunch with Cathy, Ashley and David and dinner with my parents, Kirk and Sarah. So no cooking for me, I even got to sneak away during nap time to go shopping by myself at old navy for some summer clothes and take a walk.

Family Fun

Saturday morning we had fun spending some time with the Williams side of the family. Andrew was quite the little entertainer and host to his cousin Addy. Lily showed off how sweet and easy going she is.
