Leaf jump

The kids had so much fun this fall jumping in this leaf pile. They helped rake it into a pile and then refused to let us clean them up and claimed the pile as their own. Many warm afternoons were spent jumping in this pile.

We had a movie night watching Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer. I was surprised to realize that I had never seen the whole movie. So it was a first for all of us except Bobby.

Deck the halls

The weekend after Thanksgiving we put up the Christmas decorations. The kids were beyond excited, they have been talking about putting up the tree for weeks.

Every year I take a picture of the kids with the lights.

 This year was the first year that Andrew and Lily put up most of the ornaments. They were able to judge if the ornaments should go up high or down low in Will’s reach.

 When we were done decorating the kids got to work making Christmas cards. Christmas time is so fun with little kids! I was really nervous that Will would mess/ break the Christmas decorations. He has done so well not messing with stuff, the first week or so he kept pulling off ornaments. After that first week the tree and decorations lost their appeal.

20 months old Will

In November Will was 20 months old. He is getting so close to being 2 years old! I think I am in denial that my baby is growing up.

This smile is a Bobby smile.

I love overalls on boys this age, he is like my little doll I can dress and then chase around the house. Will loves to be chased and play peekaboo.

 Will loves being outside, he really enjoyed raking leaves this fall. Will loves his orange sneakers and doesn’t go very far with out his brown lovie. He loves eggs for breakfast and is often found sneaking a cooking off the counter. Will is in a picky eater stage, he doesn’t eat fruit and vegetables as well as he had. I am hoping this is a phase and that it will pass quickly. Will loves yogurt, mac and cheese, pizza and clementines. He must be growing because he has been sleeping like crazy, he sleeps for a good 12 hours at night and enjoys a 2-3 hour nap in the early afternoon. He is still the master climber and is not afraid to push kids out of the way at the playground. Will loves to jump and dance to music, occasionally he will belt out his own version of "Let it Go."

 I love his sweet baby face! Will says "Mama and mine” he can say other words but is still preferring to communicate through grunting and yelling. He points his finger to where he wants to go and what he wants. It is pretty funny how well he can
communicate through his finger pointing. Will loves to dump things out of containers and see how far he can throw things, he is so much fun and adds so much joy to our family.  I love you wild Will man!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving from my turkeys

 We made our annual turkey shirts at Hudson and Amelia’s house this year. Thanksgiving week was a fun break from school for Andrew and the rest of us. I love Lily’s smile in this picture, Will looks confused and Andrew is so trilled to have his picture taken.

 Thanksgiving day we were at Nana’s house, it was so fun with all of the cousins there. The swing set is a big hit with the kids.

 The weather was beautiful and the big boys had fun playing outside too.

 Andrew found time to play legos, he has special lego sets that are kept at Nana’s house and are fun to play with when we are there.

This year my birthday fell on Thanksgiving, it is always fun to celebrate my birthday with family. I had a great day and Bobby gave me a awesome present, he got up with the kids that morning and let me sleep in and get ready in peace.

Will is so funny, he wants to do everything Lily and Andrew do. Play legos and wear princess crowns fall into that category. He thinks he is so cool while wearing Lily’s crown. He is very secure in his masculinity! 

The weekend after Thanksgiving we had a birthday dinner at Mimi and Gramps house. Lily had fun supervising the leaf raking.

Will had to join in on the fun too.

Friends

In November we got to grab a quick lunch with our dear friends the Bruce’s. They moved to Austin this summer and we have missed them. It was fun getting to see the Bruce, Caivano and Pagenkopf kids together.

 Such a adorable little crew of kids.

 We met Anna when she and Andrew were babies. A cute quote Andrew said lately was that he missed Anna and I guess I will have to marry her so she can come back to Fort Worth!

 It is hard to believe that Andrew is about half way done with kindergarten. It is fun to see how much he has learned in such a short period of time.

 We had a fire every night for 5 nights straight during the cold front we had in November. The kids love putting their feet up on the hearth and watching the fire.

 Ahhh another new trick Will figured out, he can reach the living room light switch when he stands on the end table. Will is still keeping everything exciting...

 One night it even snowed, so at 9:30 pm I got the kids out of bed to see the snowflakes. They loved it and had fun catching a few in their mouth.

Andrew asked me to take his picture, and of course I couldn’t turn down that rare opportunity. I can’t believe he is almost 6 years old!

Cookies

Will loves cookies, he also is very quick and efficient at moving chairs around the house to reach high places. I baked cookies and Will quickly figured out what was cooling on the counter.

In November we went to the park to feed the ducks, all 3 kids had fun and I was so proud of Lily, she did not get scared of the ducks. She does not like animals to get close to her, but didn’t seem to mind the ducks. Going to the park is so fun with these 3 kids.

Sweet Lily and I have had a few tea parties while Andrew is at school.

 Lily prefers juice like her mama. So we had juice in our pretty tea cups. Lily is really good at being gentle with the china cups .

 I enjoy my girl time with Lily.

Lily loves to tell about what has happened in her day. No detail is spared and I love it!
