Blue Moon

A blue moon occurs when there are two full moons in a month.  The first full moon of August was on the August 2nd.  The second one was tonight.....so we all went outside and looked (shout out to our neighbors for letting us know!)

It's a bit cloudy, due to the remnants of Isaac.....but pretty, nonetheless!

Adventures in LA

No.....I didn't feel any earthquakes!  Apparently southern California has been experiencing quite a few of them!  I had to chance to take a work trip to our LA refinery.  I ended up staying over the weekend to hang out with my friend Betsy!  We had great fun and didn't get in too much trouble :-)  She took me to Hollywood, shopping, and ocean kayaking!!!

The New Granite

I put this on hold at the granite store. It is easy to come to a decision on stuff when Tracy is out of town. I picked this granite and emailed Tracy a photo. She did not care for the granite in the photo so I had to go back to Tulsa to find a different granite. I then realized I had sent her the wrong photo. When I showed her the correct photo's we were all in agreement :)

Sorry for the poor quality photo as I did not bring the camera. A camera phone did do the trick though.

This is the wrong photo of the granite. Pretty but wrong! Lesson learned.

More Kitchen!

The more you dig the more problems you will find so all the drywall has been removed in order for the plumbing to be re-worked and the electrical redone.

 Cabinets have arrived and will live in the garage for a bit. (I had them put them in Tracy's spot as she has been out of town for some time and could not fight the decision)

The Kitchen!

My place is in the kitchen. 

After seven years of saying "lets fix the kitchen" we have started a new project!

 Out with the old

 Our contractor was very angry to see the original builder had notched out the support beams for the sewer line. They will be repairing it.

 The photo below shows a nail that was holding up some drywall that had been hit into the water line. The house is 40 years old and the water leakage was minimal. Pretty amazing that it sealed that good over the past 40 years.
