Soccer Saturday!

Another win for Reese's team!!! It was either 8-2 or 9-2. Not sure which. Reese almost scored a goal. It actually was on it's way to being a goal, but his teammate helped the ball just as it was crossing into the net....so the teammate got the credit.

Reese's first soccer game on the new team! They beat the Owasso team 3-0!!! It's going to be a fun year! It's amazing how the playing has become much more physical!

Cousins/Nieces

Zipline Adventures

Kelly, Daryl, Chloe and Hanna were the greatest....they hung out at the Alligator Farm for an extra 2 hours so that Reese and I could enjoy the zip lines. Now.....I was thinking we'd do a quick zip and be out of there....but "no!"....it was a whole adventure in the tree canopies!!! We were doing obstacle courses and zip lines up above the alligators. It sounds scary to be above the gators....but really, the gators are not what is on your mind when you're 30 feet up in the air! The gators are the last of your worries if you fall! Reese was like a little monkey in the trees! To see him work the caribiners and pulleys was pretty impressive. I don't think he should ask to tie his shoes or make his cereal anymore! Oh yeah.....speaking of shoes....Kelly let me wear hers! Thanks Kelly!

Alligator Farm

Our second day in Jacksonville....we journeyed over to St. Augustine to visit the Alligator Farm. We we too late to book reservations to fulfill Reese's lifelong dream of swimming with dolphins....so the gators had to do!








Reese and I weren't really scared.....they told us to act that way! :-) Oh yeah......in case you're wondering....the wrap on his hand is due to a wayward soccer ball that left him with a slight sprain just before we left Oklahoma.

St. Augustine

No trip to St. Augustine would be complete without a visit to the playground and carousel!

Jacksonville, FL

The pink pony.......for Hanna's 2nd birthday! It was a hit with all!

A day at the beach....

We loaded into the car straight from the JAX airport and headed for the beach. That was Reese's one request for this trip.....he wanted to play in the ocean. And play we did!!!

Look at the huge smile on his face!!



The waves were pretty big that day.....Hurricane Ike had just been through the week before, so perhaps it was some remnants.





Okay.....this next photo is posed, but it looks pretty cool, huh? Reese was trying to get a feel for standing on the board when I snapped it! Kelly and I walked at least a mile to the Walgreens to buy this for him. Gave the girls a good chance for a nap!

Jellyfish......Kelly rescued it from the beach and threw it back in the water.


Approximately 30 minutes later, Reese was complaining of some stinging beneath his eye. Coincidence?? He was having too much fun to care that he got stung by a jellyfish.
