 Well, this will be the newest bird in the fleet, took my training on it a few months ago.  Very cool technology, almost doesn't look like a plane on the inside with the variable lighting (there is a kind of blue setting for one), there are no window shades, just a button with 5 settings, from full light dimming to full dark.  The entertainment system will be state of the art, of course all this depends on the technology working as advertised.  It will need some shaking out before it starts flying over the ponds and not sure where all it will go but I do know Denver to Tokyo and Denver to Honolulu are in the plans.  Tom

Galloping Goose (Geese)

On Father's Day week-end, Tom and Bill went to Golden, CO to visit the RR Museum.  There have been 8 galloping geese built in the 1930s and 40s.  Because of the Great Depression it was too expensive to maintain the steam locomotives to run mail, freight and people over some of the railroads in Colorado.  So to keep the rail lines running, the Rio Grande and Southern Pacific built new engines and rail cars using trucks and autos to keep the company afloat.  It worked.  Seven of the 8 galloping geese were at the museum this past week-end.  One did not come because it is owned by Knots Berry Farm in CA.  To expensive to bring it to CO.

Joy's birthday party

Marlys and Bill work in MT.

Doug and Jill have their garage/shop closed in. They are going to put cedar siding on it to match the house and Marlys and Bill spent a long week end helping them stain siding. Nasty weather came before the staining was done but we all made a big dent in the stack of cedar.

Bill, Jill and Marlys at the staining work table. Bill and Jill handled the brushes and Marlys and Doug pushed the roller. It was an assembly line. Behind the crew is their house with the new deck on the back. The addition makes the house look twice as big from the road.
