St. Patty's Day

Happy St. Patricks Day everyone!! I know I am a little late but things have been busy around here. I finished the second quarter of my masters (1/4 done) last week so now I have a little bit of time to breath. Wyatt and Kaylynn are doing well. Both have been pretty healthy the last few weeks so that is great. Kaylynn has really been motoring around and pulling herself up on things all the time. Wyatt is really starting to put two and three word sentences together and he loves to sing songs -- the words to all of his songs might not be there but I can recognize the tune. He sings itsy bitsy spider, twinkle twinkle, ABC's, row row row your boat, ba ba black sheep. It is really awesome to see him put things together. Unfortunately he has been a bit cranky the last few days and I think that his molars are coming in so lets hope that that does not cause too much pain for too long. Wyatt also attended his first birthday party for a girl in his class and it was at Pump it up (a place with a bunch of the inflatable structures). He was not sure at first but by the end he was having a blast jumping, climbing around and going down the slides. It as a really fun place for kids. 

Finally Kaylynn decided she would hold her own bottle. YES!!!

Wyatt loves the camera now -- he is such a little ham. Also, lately he has really gotten into stickers and sticking them all over things.

I just can not resist taking a picture when they are wearing cute holiday PJ's.

Max was eating an apple and Kaylynn really wanted some so she started to take it from him. She is getting more and more interested in "people" food.

She seemed to really like the taste of the apple.

Wyatt has really started to play with his matchbox cars Max has gotten for him. He is also doing better at letting Kaylynn play with him as they play cars.

You are seeing this picture correctly -- my daughter is in a skirt ( and yes look at the picture above this one - another skirt). She is really pulling up on everything, we will see when she starts to walk.

8 Months Old

Well the word that I will use to explain the last week is ROUGH! And that is why I am so late posting about Kaylynn's 8th month milestone. Kaylynn's big accomplishment this month is crawling -- she started to officially crawl forward with some purpose on the 17th of February and Wyatt's world changed. Kaylynn loves to play with Wyatt but he is not too fond of her playing with his toys yet. But she is getting more and more interactive and Wyatt likes to make her laugh.

This week was rough because both kids were sick - again. Kaylynn was sent home from daycare on Monday with a slight fever and was pretty pathetic all week with a runny nose, slight fever, cough and just not feeling well. Wyatt then started to cough quite a bit starting on Tuesday night so Max took them to the doctor on Wednesday and both of they tested positive for influenza. The doctor was surprised that they both had the flu sense they both had the vaccination. Wyatt also had a bad ear infection and swollen tonsils. So he was on a lot of medicine but the next day he seemed a lot better. However, due to the fact it seemed like Wyatt was having some trouble fighting it they had him get a chest x-ray and tested his blood for his white blood cell count and immunoglobulins. Fortunately everything turned out normal.

Wyatt has to get his picture taken when we are taking pictures of Kaylynn -- he is really starting to be jealous of Kaylynn and whats all of the attention.

Kaylynn is much more stable in the bath tub so now baths can be taken together and they seem to enjoy playing. Both of them really love baths.

Having Kaylynn fall asleep in my arms is just so precious -- these are the little memories you treasure!!

Due to the fact Kaylynn is getting so big we moved her out of the infant car seat and into a big girl seat. This picture makes her look so old. She is growing up so fast.
