The sun was shining, the surf was up, it's time to try out the new body boards. Yippee !!

I think they were a big hit and there will be a lot more trips to the beach this summer.

Xmas 2014

Christmas this year was a quiet occasion with Grandma, Uncle Jim and Nan joining us for our first Christmas in our new home for a baked lunch. The day started early but not to early with present opening.

Santa left the girls a suitcase each and a body board. They looked a little disappointed when they only saw the 2 gifts but brightened up when they looked in the cases !! Cheeky Santa !!!

We tried to get a family photo on the day but just couldn't get one that I liked. Better luck next time !! A massive thanks to everyone that came and helped us celebrate our first Christmas in the new house, hopefully there will be lots more to come.  Merry Christmas xx

Surf's Up

As the girls get older I feel much more comfortable taking them to the beach. I know they can now confidently swim and I feel more at ease as I HATE being in the surf. I LOVE swimming but in a pool only.

I love to sit on the beach and watch the waves but there is something that just freaks me out about being in there. I just can't go in past my knees. Lucky this day the girls had their dad and Uncle Jim enjoying the water with them. I love watching them have such a good time splashing about !!

New School, New Year

Since we are so close to getting the keys to our new home we decided to enrol the girls into their new school at the beginning of the year rather than waiting a few weeks then changing them. We are all very excited and very nervous all at the same time and wondering what the new year and the new school will bring.

Oz Day Fun

Every year we head to the Gong and enjoy a great day celebrating everything Australian from thong throwing on the beach to eating lamingtons, Indian, Asian, Turkish and every thing in between. There is music playing, rides to ride, market stalls and they even have a hospital bed race !! At the end of it all, we sit back, relax and watch a fantastic fire works display.

 I was very surprised with what E did next. She decided to try her hand at rock climbing. C is an expert when it comes to climbing but E is a little more cautious. I know that there are a few photos of E climbing but I was so proud of her for being so brave. Well done E.

Safely back on solid ground. She loved it.

Aunty June, Uncle Denis and Uncle Jim when he can all come down and head to the club for a BBQ lunch with mum. More often than not they come home with something they have won while playing the poker machines. This year was no exception as you can see in the next picture.

Janet also joined us this year for the fireworks.

I did take some pictures of the fireworks but they didn't turn out well. We always have a great day in the Gong and have now roped a few of my friends into it as well. Happy Australia Day xx
