Autoclaves for removing gas bubbles

Autoclaves are machines used to remove tiny bubbles (gas/air). They are most commonly used in the LCD sector. Displays such as LCD (liquid crystal display) or OLED (organic light-emitting diode) are pressed under pressure and heat. An autoclave often follows a vacuum assembly machine. High-quality displays can already be manufactured using integrated ODF technology (One Drop Filling). However, during this procedure microbubbles can form. These are not visible immediately after filling, but become visible after a longer period of time. The use of an autoclave can effectively prevent the formation of microbubbles, thereby significantly increasing the quality and service life of LCDs.
The autoclave is also used in the manufacture of micro-LEDs.

Tank Type Autoclave

Tank Type Autoclave – Dry Compressed Air (CDA) for Bubble Removal

This autoclave works with dry compressed air (CDA) and removes air bubbles between individual layers using heat and pressure. Depending on customer requirements, these can be applied to the display from one or both sides. This process also improves the adhesive strength and appearance of the product.

STA Type Autoclave

STA Type Autoclave – In-line capable and high throughput type

Like the tank type, this device removes air bubbles with CDA and improves adhesive strength and appearance. In addition, this machine can be integrated into an in-line setup and can handle different product sizes according to customer requirements. This also significantly increases throughput.

  • Mobile phone displays, smart watches, LCD/OLED displays, printed circuit boards (PCBs)
  • Large displays, RTP (roll to panel) in-line
