結局どうやって使うものなのか、
よく分かってない人はたくさんいます。
なのでこのページではwhatをめっちゃ理解させます！
そしたら、
次のページでやるwhoとかwhenとかもできるようになるはずだからね。
whatは疑問文なので、疑問文の知識は必要。
一般動詞とbe動詞の疑問文の作り方（Does sheとかIs sheとか）が不安な人は、先にそっちをやっておこうね。

【whatの使い方（一般動詞）】
You like cars.
あなたは車が好きです
こういう文があります。
この文をまず疑問文にしてみようか。
（不安な人は上のページで先に練習したかな？）
You like cars.
あなたは車が好きです
→Do you like cars?
あなたは車が好きですか
こんなふうになったよね。
一般動詞の疑問文は「Do」みたいのが前に来るんでした。
それで、
「車が好きか」じゃなくて、
「何を好きか」が知りたい場合は、
Do you like cars?
→Do you like cars?
→Do you like what?
「cars」を消して
「何」という意味の「what（ワット）」に変えました。
だけど、
whatは文頭（文の先頭）っていう決まりがあるから、
What do you like?
あなたは何が好きですか
というふうになるわけです。
これがwhatの基本的な使い方。
三単現も同じです。
She likes sushi.
彼女は寿司が好き
→Does she like sushi?
彼女は寿司が好きですか？
→What does she like?
彼女は何が好き？
過去形も同じです。
They played soccer yesterday.
その人たちは昨日サッカーをした（they その人たち）
→Did they play soccer yesterday?
その人たちは昨日サッカーをしたの？
→What did they play yesterday?
その人たちは昨日何をしたの
こんな感じ！

whatは「何」を聞く疑問詞だから、
Do you like cars?
→What do you like?
（carsが消えてwhatになってる）
Did they played soccer yesterday?
→What did they play yesterday?
（soccerが消えてwhatになってる）
whatの文は、言葉（名詞）が1つ消えるよね。
だから、
What did they play soccer yesterday?
その人たちは何をサッカーをしたの？？？？？（間違い）
こうしないようにね。
「サッカー」を消さないと変だよね。気をつけてね！

【whatの使い方（be動詞）】
もちろんbe動詞のパターンもあります。
It is a box.
それは箱です
be動詞は、主語と動詞を逆にすると疑問文になるから、
Is it a box?
それは箱ですか
boxを消してwhatにすれば
What is it?
それは何ですか？
となるわけです。
What is that?
それは何？
What are these?
これらは何？（these ディーズ はthisの複数形）
でもOK。
Whatに複数形のsとか付けないでね。

Whatを指で隠してみて。

残った文もちゃんと疑問文の形になってるの分かるかな？
（do you とか、is it とか）
これは結構大事なポイントです。
以下の文を「何をしていたか」という疑問文に変えなさい
They played soccer yesterday.
こういうときに、ついこうしないようにね。
（間違い）What they played yesterday?
正しくはこう。
What did they played yesterday?
残った文も疑問文の形、です。

【カタマリをつくるwhat】
What do you like?
あなたは何が好きですか
これをもっと詳しく、
何のスポーツが好きかを聞きたいときは
What sport do you like?
あなたは何のスポーツが好きですか
というふうにして聞くことができます。
（What sportを指で隠しても、
ちゃんと疑問文のカタチ（do you）になってるね）
他には、
What color does he like?
彼は何の色が好きですか
What singer does she like?
彼女はどんな歌手が好きですか
What subject did you like?
あなたは何の教科が好きでしたか（subject サブジェクト：教科）
What time is it?
何時ですか（It is eightで「８時です」時間は「訳さないIt」）
という感じです！

また、「What kind of（どんな種類の）」というのもよく出ます。
（kind カインド：種類）
What kind of food do you like?
どんな種類の食べ物が好きですか
What kind of fruit does she like?
彼女はどんな種類の果物が好きですか
What kind of music did your father like?
君のお父さんはどんな種類の音楽が好きでしたか
という感じ。長くなっても、
指で隠すとちゃんと疑問文のカタチ（do you）になってるよね。
よく出るので、
何度も声に出して慣れておこうね。

【whatが主語のパターン】
最後！
意外と混乱しちゃうパターンをやっておしまい。
A strong wind opened the door.
強い風（strong wind）がドアを開けた
この文を「何がドアを開けたの？」にしたい。
そしたらa strong windをwhatにして、疑問文のカタチにすればいいよね。
でもあれ？
did what open the door?????
whatっていつも文頭じゃなかったっけ。
didとか前に来れないよね。どうしよう。
正解は、
What opened the door?
何がドアを開けたの？
となります。
didとか出てこなかったね。
主語が疑問詞（what）のときは、疑問文のカタチにできないんです。
そのまま主語にwhatを突っこむイメージ。
A ball broke the window.
ボールが窓を割った（broke ブローク はbreakの過去形）
→What broke the window?
何が窓を割った？
An accident happened.
事故（アクシデント）が起こった
→What happened?
何が起こった？
be動詞でも同じです。
主語が疑問詞（what）のときは、
そのまま主語にwhatを突っこむイメージ。
An apple is on the table.
りんごがテーブルの上にある（be ある・いる）
→What is on the table?
何がテーブルの上にある？
ちなみにこの「ある・いる」be動詞は

A cat is here.
ネコがここにいます（here ヒアー ここ）
→What is here?
何がここにいる？
A shop was there.
お店がそこにありました（there ゼアー そこ）
→What was there?
何がそこにあった？
Some boys are over there.
何人かの男の子たちが向こうにいます（over there 向こう）
→What is over there?
何が向こうにある？（三単現でisになるからね）
