...Huh.

I had one of weirdest dreams ever last night. I dreamt that I got myself a couple of tattoos, both fairly large (including a large dragon on my right bicep), except they only took about five seconds to do, they barely hurt at all, and they healed straight away. They were performed out in the open by a tattoo artist at a car boot sale. One of the stalls was selling a huge stack of bibles and the one opposite was selling used sex toys.

There was also a large, uninhabited but well-furnished castle, surrounded by ruins. Oh, and some weight-lifting activities.

Later on, there was carnage when a whole bunch of people started getting suffocated in these large glass pods, and others got sliced to bits by flying, broken panes of glass. After all the carnage, I went inside this ground floor block of apartments, one of which was bright pink on its interior, and I met up with some blonde woman who I apparently knew, and also Euan, who was lying in bed.

...There were also sentient wind-up toys.

Oh, and the dream had Michael Schumacher, Trinity from The Matrix, and Cyclops from the X-Men movies making random cameos.

...T'was odd.

And now InsaneJournal isn't loading, for some reason.

I ish sho tired

Okay, so my mother didn't deliver the chest of drawers today, apparently because a) she had no-one to help her carry it (ie. Alice) and b) she was busy with paperwork all or most of the day. The latter reason was also why she didn't ask Euan to help her set up the Wii if she couldn't figure it out herself.

Oh well. I'm not really too bothered, and I can fully understand her reasons - she was obviously busy and I sure as hell wouldn't expect her - or anyone (unless they were really beefy or something) - to lift a heavy pine chest of drawers all by herself or even attempt to move it slightly - she does have a bad back, so, yeah.

Also, yesterday I bought myself a new top (purple) and a pair of tracksuit bottoms (a very nice blue). They are so comfortable, mmm-hmm.

I also had a very... interesting (ie. sexually explicit and rather perverted in some places) Ju-on-themed dream this morning, but I might - that's a big "might" - update about it in a "condensed" form some other time. o_O

Anyway, I really should go and get mine & Euan's lunches ready for work tomorrow very soon, as I could quite happily go straight to bed right now.

I see you hiding in that hill, young men!

Yesterday was great. Euan invited a few people over for his birthday - Kayleigh and JJ couldn't make it, but we did have Jem, Sheldon, Naomi (Sheldon's girlfriend who used to work at the supermarket with me) and Dan (Sheldon's flatmate) over for most of the day. We arsed about all day, watched Borat, and then later Shaun of the Dead after Sheldon, Nai and Dan went home. After Jem went home, Euan managed to complete Defiance. ^_^ It got me in the mood for making some more LoK icons - I just want to find a website with decent screenshots of cutscenes (maybe I'll buy a cheapass copy of the PC version and make my own - I've been planning to get the PC version anyway, if only to attempt to find any music files on there).

Today, Sheldon and Dan came over again, except I was in a bad mood so I probably ticked everyone else off.

I started messing around on some of my own Defiance save files, and, just for the hell of it, I used the wireframe cheat code in Vorador's Mansion. However, as I was doing so, I noticed something really fucking weird yet strangely cool in the garden area leading to Janos' crypt. As I was running up the pathway, I suddenly stopped and noted two distinct wireframe models. At first glance, I thought that they were statues, but then I realised that they certainly are not there in textureless mode, or regular mode. I then noticed something else: "Hey, that one kinda looks like Raziel!" (at first glance, I mistook the other one for Kain).

I entered the cheat code again to exit wireframe mode - as I'd expected, the models disappeared, so I was still kind of bugged by what I'd briefly seen. So, I went back into wireframe mode again, and sure enough, there the models were again. I noted that they were inside one of the walls, hence the reason that they can't be seen in the regular or textureless modes. I switched to first-person view, and there was no mistaking them now - one was a model of Raziel, the other of Vorador, and they were both standing side-by-side. It was pretty bizarre. I wonder if there are any other hidden wireframe models in-game? I guess I'll have to play through the whole game in wireframe mode (which will be really bloody difficult XD) just to see.

I'm quite surprised that I haven't seen any websites mentioning these hidden models - especially since the game has been out since 2003. I'll post photographs I took of the television as proof when I get the chance.

I also started my first save file on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time a little later, as Euan's been bugging me to play it for ages. ^_^

In other news, we now have the bookshelf at the house. My mother delivered it earlier. :)

That is all for now. Take care!

Ulcer madness

I developed another headache during work this evening. >_< I also have a large ulcer underneath my upper lip. It keeps rubbing against my teeth, and it seems to be getting bigger by the day. Eeesh.

I had another weird dream this morning, but I can't remember too much of it - aside from that fact that usofbs was in it, and it involved a large domestic building, and a giant tumbledryer and washing machine. (What is it with my LJ friends appearing in my dreams lately? XD)

My mother's being a pain in the ass again. I don't feel like going into detail (mainly because I can't be arsed at the moment).

Speaking of mum, it's her birthday today. I think it's her 47th.

...Yeah, I don't feel like making this entry interesting.

Another dream update

Christ, what a mouthful. o_O

Now, the obligatory "weird-ass dream" update.

( Not quite as cracked-out as some of my other dreams, but it was still bloody oddCollapse )

I woke up at that point. I was glad, since the dream had made me feel uneasy. That, and it had gone 11:00 am and I really needed to get my ass out of bed. :P

Whilst typing this entry (at the time of typing, it has now gone midnight), I was alternating between making my tea and watching 28 Days Later, which started showing on Channel 4 and I hadn't seen it before, so I watched that. It's pretty damn good. I might look into getting the DVD somewhen.

Bed time soon. Night night, all.

The Sith? In my neighbourhood?

Something I forgot to update about yesterday - by the war memorial in the town centre, I saw some blokes dressed like Darth Vader and a couple of Stormtroopers. XD It was a really bizarre sight - I'm used to seeing that sort of thing at London Expo, but not in the middle of this town. Maybe there was some kind of event going on?

I'll probably be dropping Jem's present and card around today, if that's okay with her.

I had a really fucked-up dream this morning. I'll post about it in detail later. It was just getting interesting when I was woken up by what sounded like a group of chavs fighting outside my window. Wonderful.

BEWARE THE AMAZING FLAMING CHICKEN!!

Okay, so I tried to update on Friday whilst at my mother's again, but it wouldn't let me for some reason. It wasn't letting me edit anything, either. Oh well. Luckily, I saved the majority of this update in a Notepad file, so I'm just altering it as I see fit. :D

I've also friends-locked my previous entry, just in case anyone sees it who isn't supposed to. I'll probably be doing the same to most of my co-worker rants from this point on.

On Friday evening, I had Kayleigh and JJ round again, for a pizza night. Euan was celebrating the fact that his supervisor, who is a complete bastard, will probably be losing his job very soon. The reason? He was caught stealing money from the store. XD XD Also, this guy has been having loads of problems lately - he's in debt, his girlfriend's left him because she was sick of him going off and fucking other women (apparently he's been known to boast about the fact that he cheats on his girlfriends), and he recently crashed his car into a Porche. I think it's the epitome of "what goes around, comes around", and I have to say, I don't feel sorry for him in the slighest. He's a wanker.

I had to work for slightly longer hours Saturday. Annoying, yes, but, hey, money's always helpful. Although, the entire store had to be evacuated for about five to ten minutes, due to the fire alarm going off. Apparently a chicken on the deli counter caught fire. o_O

Whilst I was walking home that night, I was approached by this random guy, who said that his car had broken down and he needed to get back to Taunton. He asked me if I could give him directions to the bus stop, and also if I could lend him some money for the fare. I told him I didn't have the exact amount (not that I know how much a bus from Yeovil to Taunton costs anyway), but I did give him £1.20 as a start - truth be told, I did have more money in my wallet, but I didn't want to give him too much just in case he was leading me on. That, and I need it for my own bus fares. He seemed genuine enough, though, and was very polite and not giving me any hassle, so I didn't have a problem with it.

On Sunday, I had Jem over for a few hours, as she was home from uni for the weekend. :D She's returning in two weeks, so she can try on her bridesmaid dress then.

I've decided that, on days when I have to work at both the office and the supermarket, I'm going to travel to my mum's house after my office shift, change into my uniform there, and then catch the bus into town from this estate (which is what I'm doing today - hence the update, since I still lack Broadband at the new house), because it would take too long to walk for half an hour to my new house, change, and then walk a further ten or so minutes to the nearest bus stop.

At least I'm getting plenty of exercise, walking to work in the mornings. ^__^

The sexy new TV arrived last week. :D Whoot. 42", baby!

I've been having some pretty odd dreams over the past few nights, too. One had Wesker from RE and The Fear from MGS 3 in it, one had someone from my flist in it (I think it was kryceksfox), and the one I had the other night had Lyndsey (a girl I used to be friends with at school) and notorious_hunty in it. I can't remember it too well, but it seemed to involve an old, filthy abandoned house, filled with discarded rubbish.

I think the one I had about trying to move all of my stuff out of my mum's house before she blew up the bedroom was quite possibly the strangest one so far, though. o_O

I started playing Quake 4 again on Thursday. I have concluded that I'm really out of practise with it - the previous time I played it was March, and unfortunately the last time I saved was at a really frustrating part. XD Oh well. Time to get back into the loop.

I also started a save on Dead Rising last week. I kind of sucked at it for a little while, but I have improved a lot since then. I'm currently at level 30-something (the exact number escapes me at the moment), and I think I'm sort of close to the end of following the story - I have about 20-odd hours to go in game time and I'm currently attempting to stop Larry from making mincemeat out of poor Carlito. (Apart from last night, when I let him get ground up just to see what would happen. It wasn't pretty.) Yay.

Also, whacking zombies with giant teddy bears is fun as hell. XD

Time to get the bus soon. :) Laters.

Quote of the weekend:
Nom:
(on the flaming chicken incident) *Imitating a deli counter employee, sweetly* So, how do you like your chicken? *imitating a customer, roaring* ROASTED!!

Oh, mah leg

Okily-dokily, as promised: that weird-ass dream I had the other morning.

Okay, so the atmosphere and setting made it feel kind of like a crossover between the Resident Evil series and Quake II & 4. I can't remember if any of the characters from those series turned up (although I swear that I may have spotted Strauss, Sledge and/or Anderson in there somewhere). There also may have been these weird creatures that were a bit like a mishmash between various enemies from those games, but, again, I can't quite remember.

The most vivid part of the dream was the aftermath of an attack by someone or something (probably the aformentioned creatures, if they appeared at all) on some sort of laboratory, which may or may not have been located on a spaceship. Lying everywhere were the bleeding forms or those who were either injured or dead. Most, if not all of them, were wearing white lab coats.

The one room I can remember in particular had a metal floor, metal ceiling and metal walls, and the lighting made it appear to be blue. This room also seemed to be some sort of operating theatre, as evidenced by the fact that one of the injured men was carried here. He was obviously in a lot of pain, and he required instant surgery. Some other people carried him to a bed that resembled a gurney, and, before laying him on top of it, they positioned an incredibly bizarre and somewhat grisly "pillow" for him to rest his head on. This "pillow" was, in fact, a shaped, see-through plastic bag filled with blood.

Suddenly, just like that, I had replaced the guy and was now lying on the bed myself - but I wasn't lying on it properly. I seemed to be lying on it horizontally, as opposed to vertically, and it was almost like I was hovering slightly. I was lying completely straight and was holding myself rigid.

Apparently, I had some sort of infection within my left leg, and they were going to - wait for it - amputate it above the knee, presumably so that they could draw out the virus somehow, and then they would sew my leg back on afterwards. O_O

Bear in mind that, while I was given strong painkilling drugs, I was still fully conscious, and I was not strapped down to prevent me from struggling. I simply had to hold myself still while they did the business.

One of the guys produced a circular saw on a metal stick - the sawblade itself was no larger than a 50p piece.

They then used it to start the process. So, I was lying there, trying desperately to stop myself from looking at my poor leg being sliced off (while I couldn't feel any pain, the area wasn't fully numb - I could still feel the blade cutting into my leg and through the bone), and fighting the urge to panic.

...I woke up at that point, with pins & needles in my lower left leg. XD Either that was a psychological after-effect of the dream, or I'd slept on it awkwardly.

Yeah. My brain comes up with freaky shit.

"Metal Gear?!"

Man, I had a weird dream this morning. It also made me feel kind of uncomfortable, but I'm not entirely sure why. o_O

( Late for work... or, erm, perhaps notCollapse )

I had a far cooler dream a few nights ago - there was definitely a Metal Gear theme going on in that one. :D

I can't remember all the details, but it involved me riding around the countryside on a moped or scooter of sorts - I think I may have borrowed it from Euan, either that or Euan had been instructing me on the basics of riding it. I think I was heading out to my nan & grampy's house. I was riding along these muddy roads, but, the thing was, I wasn't much good at it. Instead of using the brakes, I kept stopping and/or slowing down by putting my feet on the ground. I wasn't too confident with riding the vehicle, really - I kept driving really slowly, and I think I was wobbling around all over the place. I almost bumped into a (parked - I think) car, too.

Some time after (or perhaps before - like I said, the details of this dream are kind of hazy), I came across this building, which resembled an ordinary-looking house (although I think its appearance kept changing throughout the dream). This building seemed to be located in the middle of a field. In the distance was a suburban area, with lots of nice houses. I somehow ended up inside the building, only to discover that it was housing the latest version of Metal Gear - which I seem to remember looking like a cross between Metal Gear REX and Metal Gear RAY. My, how original. XD Liquid Snake (and quite possibly Ocelot) was inside the building, too, and I think that Sledge from Quake 4 was also involved somehow (or that could have been from a different dream entirely).

Anyway, I remember coming to the conclusion that I required this version of Metal Gear in order to access the houses in the distance - I would be launched via ejector seat from Metal Gear's head, and would land safely in the suburban area. Whether Liquid would let me use the machine, however, was debatable. I can't actually remember if he suggested the idea to me or not. XD XD

...And, erm, I'm not sure what happened next.

Weeeiiird.
