I can't believe how fast she's growing!
11 YEARS SWEET
I'm just grateful I can still see a glimpse of that tiny toddler
with her BIG blue eyes and sweet shy demeaner.
She woke to our traditional balloon decor and streamers, and breakfast treat of choice.
Donuts and muffins, with a side of pomegranate. Ever since grandma Tootsie introduced her to the art of opening one and enjoying the fruit within, she's been a fan.
She LOVES to cuddle, and this super soft blanket hit the spot.
She was super happy to get a note from her daddy who was already at work.
Paige really wanted to have a friend party...I'm not a huge fan, because I don't like kids feeling left out, and of course managing the crazy. Originally, she wanted to go ice-skating with friends but with the social butterfly miss Paige is, she couldn't decide who to take. I finally just said, "just invite who you want, and we can have a party here." So a dozen friends + later, we were having a party.

Notes from a pre tween party:
Baby talk is NOT a mandatory means of communication
"bratty" and "ungrateful" attitudes aren't invited to the party
not everyone knows how to be a friend
It shouldn't matter how much someone's gift cost
Constant talking is optional
"Please" and "Thank you" are greatly appreciated
...Let's just say, as the hostess, I had to take a few breathers and excuse myself from their presence for fear I would send the young immature ingrates home.

Cute Paige wrote her very own "Left-Right "story and picked out gifts from the dollar store so that everyone could go home with a small gift.
We began the game sitting in a big circle, everyone starting with a gift. Then we read the story passing gifts left to right and with everyone ending up with a gift.
(Unfortunately, some girls were a bit ungrateful, and I almost lost it and almost grabbed the gifts from them)
Thankfully my sweet, caring, more mature Paige, gave them the option to trade and acted as if it didn't even phase her. She handled everyone so well.
We played more games, opened presents and then we ate...
After I ran to the nearest Little Caesars to grab pizzas and was given the only remaining pizzas (3)I took them home, where they were devoured. I brought out some chips (that weren't "the kind they like") but gave them enough to munch on until dessert. If you can't tell, I had a hard time with a handful of girls that acted in a way I felt was very disrespectful. But in the end, Paige was happy they came and ready for them to go. She was exhausted by the end of the night. As was I. Hahaha
I swore I would have NO MORE friend parties to that extent.
Too many personalities to manage for 3 hours.

-Paige is very caring and a good friend, she is super excited to go into Young Womens, she loves that she's getting a little older and looks forward to other responsibilities and opportunities. She is sweet, tender hearted, wants to do what is right. She is hilarious, helpful and continues to surprise us with her maturity, knowledge and courage.
