Back to Work...Booo!

I officially went back to work two weeks ago on August 15th. The first day back wasn't so bad actually. I have the greatest coworkers in the world, and as excited as they were to see me again, they also knew it was going to be a tough day for me. So they decorated my desk with streamers, a welcome back banner and flowers. It really made me feel better! Although, the best part of the first day back was knowing Landon was safe and sound with my mom :) Now that I've returned to work, she will watch him on Mondays and he'll be in daycare the rest of the week. Soon I will start working from home on Fridays, and although I'll need to take him in for at least half a day, it won't be for sooo long. I do, however, have a new respect for work mom's, especially single working mom's, since I unfortunately do get more than my fair share of that with Tim's travel schedule.

Anyhow...Landon's daycare has cameras that I can log onto during the day to check on him. Although I quickly learned that I have to dress him in bright colors to pick out which baby he is. With all this technology nowadays you'd think I'd be able to zoom in or something! The other morning he gave his "teacher" the sweetest smile, which made me feel so good! There are only 8 babies in the "class" so it's not too overwhelming (well, as underwhelming as 8 babies in one room can be!).

So back to work I go...we'll see how long this lasts!

Yellowstone Highlights

I took far too many pictures on our recent family vacation to Yellowstone, so here are a few highlights.

For those of you who don't know, both of my parents turned 60 this year. It has always been my mom's dream to take us to Yellowstone (they both went as kids). So for their 60th my sister's and I organized a family trip (this was before we even knew we'd be totting around with a 3 month old!).

The trip exceeded my expectations exponentially! This place was GORGEOUS! The cabin that we rented, close to West Yellowstone, was a dream home - on the water, with snow capped mountains and a fire pit! We saw more wildlife than I ever expected, and the micro-climates inside the part were amazing. And to top it off, Landon was an absolute dream traveler! YAY!

So, off we went!

3 months!!

Three months already...I think I said that a month ago when our little guy turned two months...? Either way, time is still flying by too quickly. This month has been a busy one for us so far. Landon took his first family vacation, took his first flight, and I (sigh) went back to work this week. He also learned to hold his head up (much to Tim's liking, he's no longer "a bobble head") and found his feet :)

We are now busy adjusting to what life is like with TWO full time working parents. So far he has loved his day care teachers, and they are more than vocal on how much they love him. How could they not? He's the best baby EVER! I log on to his daycare cameras once an hour to check in on him :)

Here are a few pictures of Landon's first swing ride at our Play 2 Grow class. He loves it! These days I get a much bigger smile, but I thought his blank face was too cute - he wasn't sure what to make of it ;)

July Happenings

July was a super busy month for us. Landon turned two months, and as soon as he completed the two month round of shots we were on the GO!! Tired of being house bound, I set out to do everything Mommy-and-me this town has to offer :) Which is why I haven't had much time to blog a new post in the past few weeks. We also just got back from our first family vacation - more on that in another post.
