Slidin' Thru.

Last night I experience my first Las Vegas foodtruck and it was a-maz-ing. I had the Captain's Order (angus beef slider topped with bacon, fets, arugula, and balsamic reduction), while Jason had the Barby (angus beef slider topped with bacon, cheddar jalapeno, onion strips, and bbq sauce) and the Pulled Porky (pork, jalapeno, and bbq sauce). If you go, get the sweet potato fries (or more like tater tots doused in cinnamon. You will not be disappointed. And yes, it was still 107 outside while we stood in line for this delicious dinner.

Boston Day 5.

Last Day! It was pouring, but that didn't stop us from visiting the Bunker Hill memorial (we HAD to, my childhood home was on Bunker Hill Dr.) We called all 294 steps. Oh and did I feel it for the next few days. Yes, we were soaking wet from the rain we but decided to go to church anyways. Then to the MIT museum, after which we went back to my brother and sister-in-laws place for homemade pizza before heading to the airport. Oh and we were delayed two hours so we got back into Vegas at 2 in the morning. So nice.

Obviously, I didn't take the picture of the monument. Sorry, it was pouring too hard to sit outside and take a picture

Boston Day 4.

This was one of my favorite days. We started by heading to Plymouth for a whale watching tour. I've done this tour one other time and said we had to go back! We actually saw a ton of humpback whales not far from the cape cod coast! Its insane how close they get to the boat. The pictures definitely don't do this justice!

After a quick lunch, we headed toward Newport, Rhode Island to do the cliff walk. This is a cliff lined with gigantic homes. Most of these homes are really old and served as summer houses for the very rich. A lot of them still have people living in them, so they are hard to see because of the hedges they have put up to block the public out. Sad.







Yes, we went somewhere after this! I think I am more exhausted now than I was before out trip. For Jason's sake, we had to get some kind of sporting event in while we were in New England country. So, me, Jason, and my dad went to a New England revolution soccer game. It was so much fun we are now thinking we need to head to LA for a Galaxy game! Oh and Gillette Stadium=Amazing!

Boston Day 3.

Day three we headed to Harvard to hang out with all the smart people in the world. We saw Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garners house right next to Harvard campus and the LDS church! Then we walked around Harvard Square (seriously, an Anthropologie right next to campus? good thing I wasn't smart enough to go there for school) where I grabbed a chocolate croissant for breakfast. Then a stroll through beautiful Harvard before leaving for Concord for the afternoon.

Concord was so quaint! We visited the Old North Bridge where the revolutionary war began. Then we rented kayaks and successfully (aka Jason successfully) kayaked down and back up the Concord River lined with beautiful HUGE homes. After which, we shopped in town and then visited the infamous Waldon Pond. We finished the night with a session at the Boston Temple and some legit Boston style pizza.

Boston Day 2.

My parents got in late the night before, so this was our first official day with the whole family (except for poor ben on his mission). We decided this was the day to explore Boston the actual city. My brother and his wife live in a part of Boston called Brighton, so we had to take the "T" to get into town. I don't mind subways so much, but Jason wasn't a fan!

I think Boston is one of the cleanest most beautiful cities full of delicious food! We had a great day going on a duck boat tour, eating at various food trucks, and checking out some of the history.

Sorry for the half eaten plate of the most incredible butternut squash ravioli I have ever eaten. Being the Italian family that we are, we couldn't resist hitting up the North End for some authentic Italian and cannoli!



We debated going to the game but Jason was too scared of the legit Boston scalpers.

Boston Day 1.

Oh Boston, I love you so so much. Though remembering what humidity did to my hair wasn't so pleasant. Luckily, it was only humid for two out of the five days we were there. You will be able to tell which two days because my hair is crazy.

Since we took the red eye on Tuesday night, we got into Boston at 6:30am. So, as soon as we got to Boston we went back to sleep. Once we slept enough to function for the rest of the day, we headed to Manchester to visit Singing Beach. It was gorgeous!

For being smart and picking JP. Seriously? How did Ben even compare? JP trumped him on the looks, the personality, the smile, the side of the country he lives on, the passion, the smooth moves, oh and that kiss in the rain pretty much kicked everyone out of the competition (except for ames because he looks like Hercules and for some reason is just adorable, though his eyes need to come together). I am now thinking about letting my husband shave his head...
