It has been raining here for six days. What a beautiful thing when living in a desert.

Our First Tree.

This is the first tree me and Jason have had in our home since we've been married and we are pretty dang proud of it. I just love this time of year.

Update.

As usual, i suck at blogging. Here's what we have been up to:

In september, we headed to D.C. for my brother's wedding. It was a whirlwind of a trip trying to fit touring D.C. and wedding festivities into one trip. We did it though with little amounts of sleep considering the 3 hour time change and the red eye flight out. It was fun to show jason where I was born and seeing people I haven't seen since I was 7!

We celebrated our 2 year anniversary at the Red Rock Hotel lounging around the room all night!

And I finally got one of these which will hopefully improve my blogging updates!

We had a fabulous Thanksgiving with Jason's family and are looking forward to Christmas with my family and my new sister-in-law!

2 Years.

Can't believe it has been two years!

Married.

My older brother is married! Congrats tim and ashley. Thanks for taking all the pressure off of me and jason!

A Few of My New Favorite Things.

Being a homeowner, I now have different things I get excited about. This fabulous gift has kept us eating in instead of out over the past three weeks.


Pathetic, I know. But I haven't had my own washer and dryer since I lived at home and I am now in love with these beauties.


Yes, thats a fan. Here in Vegas it get so hot and we keep our up as high as we can so we don't have to pay for high electric bills. That is why I am so excited about this fan we installed today. Such a temperature difference!


In other news we got to spend a couple more days here, thanks to some awesome friends!


And Jason got to do all the Lake stuff he loves to do that I have no idea how to do.


And we are heading to...


Yep...Washington D.C. to see my older brother get married. This is where I was born so I'm excited to show Jason where I began my life and tour all of the monuments and museums!

Homeowners.

After almost a year of house hunting and bidding, we finally closed on a home and are now starting the tiring process of moving in! I guess that means we will be in LV for at least the next 5 years (this is when I will be making Jason move again onto biggier and better houses)! Anyone who wants to take a trip to Vegas and needs a place to stay, please hit us up!

Here we go...

We've done a lot so far this summer and hopefully more is to come! First off, I got to go to Minnesota and see my extended family! I miss vacationing here every summer...

We got to go back to Utah to see friends, family, and j*dawgs...


We finally got to experience our Christmas present from Jason's dad and Meredythe with a week in Lake Powell...



After that we took off to St. George to support my sister in a law and Jason's two cousins in the St. George Triathlon...


And we bought a new car!!!


In other news, Jason got a new job where he has the weekends off, hence all the traveling. We finally pulled out of the house we were trying to buy for 7 months (it was a short sale, I do not recommend these) and have put in another offer on a house that is not a short sale. We are somehow getting through the 110 + degree heat this summer by staying indoors or making trips to the lake (I'm still trying to get used to this whole living in Las Vegas idea.) I finally turned 23 and celebrated with friends, pedicures, shopping, and cake while in Utah. Thats about it! Hopefully I'll work on blogging a bit more this summer!

U.N.L.V.

Jason (and his buddies) got his picture taken and posted on the front page of the Las Vegas Review Journal two weeks ago. He's pretty proud of it. I guess this is what happens when you sit in the third row at the mountain west tournament. He obviously really loves his Reb's!

I am sitting (thank goodness) next to him.

How We Celebrated.

For Valentines Day Jason got me a suite at the Aria at City Center. Me and Jason have opposite schedules, so it was nice to actually see each other. The hotel is beautiful and I highly recommend it to anyone coming to visit. My favorite part was dinner at Wolfgang Pucks new restaurant and Jason's favorite part was the heated toilet seat. I love how we can go on a staycation since every hotel is basically a resort and over the top in amenities.

Olympics.

Yay for the Olympics! Thank goodness for the DVR this year. Now we won't miss any of the important moments. I love the Olympics, the commercials, the ceremonies, the stories. I know, I'm pathetic, but every time I watch the opening ceremonies, I start crying. The idea that the whole world is coming together in peace to compete just makes me feel all fuzzy inside. I wish that I had some kind of athletic ability so I could be part of this awesome two weeks. Maybe the U.S. will have the pleasure of having the Olympics again and I will be able to go. And Vancouver, AMAZING! It is has been placed into my list of places I MUST visit. In Visa's words, GO WORLD!

Christmas Break.

So, here goes our Christmas break all in one post. Neither of us really had an official break from work, instead, we made our own. We took off from Christmas Eve until New Years Day and boy was it glorious. Here's a little recap.

We had three Christmases:

I hadn't ventured back to my home town in a year! So, it was great to see friends and family. I like the bigger city feel of Vegas, but sometimes I just miss wondering around our cute crafty stores downtown with my mom and getting anywhere in just 10 minutes. A lot of changes had been made in my dad's office since the last election so I had to go see everything and everyone. We also made jason take the VIP tour to the very tip top of the capital! All I can say is wow, we are out of shape!

We also had to dig out the coats since we had the chance to experience snow for the first time this winter. As much as I hated the snow in Utah, I miss the snow in Missouri where it melts in just a few days. All in all a great trip that makes me probably miss home more than I did before.
