Random Saturday Activity

On Friday night at 3:00 AM Reid came down from his room crying. I was awake for some reason because I couldn't sleep so I pulled him into bed with me so he would go back to sleep. I swore I would never do this, but he was so cute and so sad I couldn't just send him right back up to bed. So for the next three hours I was sandwiched between Reid and Logan. I was so uncomfortable because Reid took all the pillow and was suctioned to my left side. Logan on my right side was also all over me like white on rice. Not to mention that our bedroom always gets really hot in the morning for some odd reason so I had all of the covers on me with two fireballs on either side of me. It sounds horrible I know, and I didn't get much sleep after 3:00, but there is nothing better than having two of my favorite boys snuggling me for three straight hours.

Then on Saturday morning I went to the District Republican Convention. It was so fun. I really loved the atmosphere there and the people I met are great. Marylin Musgrave was there and spoke to us along with Sean Mitchell who is in my district. They are so motivational when they speak and although I want to believe that they are all good people, I don't think you can get that far in politics and not have compromised your morals a little. But anyway, it was really fun and there were over 350 people there. I love to people watch and I love old men. The perfect place for me!!! I told Logan he should start getting into politics so I can go to all of these functions and he has such great ideals and he really knows his stuff about politics. Anyway, I love this country!!

Now I saved the best for last. Reid's new thing, or used to be, is pulling Chop's hair because he can't catch him fast enough on his collar so he just grabs fur. It was impossible to brush it out, so we decided it was about that time anyway and we chopped off all of Chops fur. He looks so youthful. I just thought it was a fun random picture....

The life in the day of Reid

We are not potty training but I bought these when I thought I was going start this. So the other day I saw these and decided to put them on him for fun and I thought he just looked so cute in them. His little butt and skinny body is just so darn adorable!! Maybe not so adorable when he peed on the chair at breakfast, but hey that is the risk I take by putting him in these underwear when he doesn't know how to use a potty.

Then he decided to get into Chops kennel. He thought it was so funny and was asking me to close the door, which I refused for moral reasons, duh... Anyway, I love this little guy and think he is so funny. He makes me laugh everyday.

Nothing much...

So not a lot is happening here. We had a great Saturday this last weekend. I was a delegate for a district meeting and loved it. I am really finding an intrest in politics. It is really interesting and I love hearing how people think or don't think like me. I have met some really great people from going to all of these meetings. I have another meeting to go to on this Saturday as well. Later that night Logan and I went to this yummy resturant in our subdivision and it was soooo good. Then we went to the Winter Ball at church. Logan totally let loose and it was weird to see him act like that. He is usually so laid back and he was really going crazy, it was fun. Reid went with our babysitter to a basketball game and when we went to pick him up he didn't want to go home. It was a fun weekend. Logan had a basketball game on Wednsday and this is the cutest picture. Reid thinks he is a part of the team, I want to make him a t-shirt that matches Logans'. I think I need to!! Thank to everyone that had the sweetest comments about my Grandma's cancer. We got some positive news that the doctor thinks it is totally treatable. So that is positive. I really appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers. It means so much to me.

My heart can't handle it anymore...

Over the last few days I have been in suspense wondering about whether or not my grandma has cancer. I talked to my mom yesterday and she confirmed that it is and then told me this morning that it isn't the worst kind of liver cancer, but also not the better kind either. For some reason or other my family is meant to be plagued by this awful word. I think I am in denial because I can't bring myself to cry. I just sit here thinking about all of the many times I have taken her for granted and not appreciated everything she has done. Not to make matters worse, my grandpa isn't doing that well either. He has been in a nursing home for almost a year now and isn't getting any better. I don't know how to spell it, but he has a heart problem and it is getting worse. Logan, Reid and I went and saw him on Friday last week and he didn't even aknowledge us. He usually lights up when my little Reid is around and he didn't even do that. I don't know how to take this. My grandpa is dying and barely hanging on and now my grandma has terminal cancer. Both of my grandparents on my dad's side have passed away from this horrible disease and my mom had cancer about six years ago. I am so tired of hearing people I love getting this. Anyway, that is my sap story, I guess it is just part of life!!

I am alive!

Okay so I have neglected my blog and I am so sorry to my fellow bloggers. I am sure you are all dying to know what kind of mayhem my life has to offer you. Anyway, I have become obcessed with painting again and have five rooms that are half finished. I love the paint colors, I just need to finish painting them now so they look good. My kitchen is now brown instead of red, my livivng room is green instead of tan (we need to do the crown molding in there now) Reids' room is blue and need a picture rail now and my laundry room is apple green with black cabinets now. I love all the new changes and they keep on coming. My Grandma just gave me a bedroom set and I have primed it I just need to paint it now and spray paint the brass bed white. I want my guest room to be really country with quilts and whites and soft curtains. I want to paint that room a light pink but I think I need to finish the rooms I have started first, then do that one. So there you have it, that is what I have been busy doing. I just need furniture to finish off all of my creative ideas for my house. Any one up to donating to the Richardson House Fund?? Just kidding. Anyway, so that is my life right now. Along with my callings and school I stay pretty busy. I wish I had some great pictures to post, but I don't because I have also neglected my camera and have not snapped shots of our lives. Not that we have anything exciting to take pictures of, but hey pictures make you want to read the post. Okay, I am done. I hope you all have a great day and a happy Valentines day.
