Merry Christmas!

Lachlynn's new favorite things are puzzles! This girl is talented! There are times she shows me where to put them! She made these two all by herself! She is only 2!!!

It's tradition every year to open our new Pj's for Christmas eve, Lachlynn loves her hello kitty slippers, she sleeps with then on!

We always act out the nativity with J.D.'s family and it is so fun! This year we got to be Mary and Joseph. Of course Victoria was baby Jesus and Lachlynn was a sheep.

I just started giving them baths together they both love it. Lachlynn likes to entertain Victoria and Victoria love to just sit and stare at Lachlynn.

I love our prophet!

I was reading the Ensign the other day and found this quote from our beloved prophet, Thomas S. Monson. It enlightened my mind and was a strong reminder of the love our Father in Heaven has for me. I thought I would share it...

" I leave with you my witness and my testimony that God our Eternal Father lives and loves us. He is indeed our Father, and He is personal and real. May we realize and understand how close to us He is willing to come, how far He is willing to go to help us, how much he loves us, and how much He does and is willing to do for us."

Lately

Sorry there are a lot of pictures! We have been so busy lately! So much to report.
First off my sweet Grandpa passed away last week. He was a great man and I will miss the laughs, great advice, long talks, and our chocolate shake runs! The neat thing is he was part of Victoria's blessing the day before he died. I feel so lucky to have shared that special day with him before he died. I love you Grandpa.
These are just a bunch of pictures of the blessing day. The fist picture was a four generation with my grandpa, very sweet!







My latest project, paper pine cone ornaments! I had a lot of fun making them. Super easy if anyone is interested in making them.


These two little girls are so fun! I just love having two little girls, I can't wait till Victoria is older so they can play together.

Happy Halloween!

We had such a fun Halloween! It was filled with parties, playing games, and yummy treats, (too many yummy treats!!).
Lachlynn LOVES Halloween, she loves everything about it. We got Halloween books to read, we got her a Halloween night light for her room, we got Halloween soap to wash with, we got Halloween socks to wear, and even Halloween Pj's for her to sleep in. Holidays are SO much more fun with children! Her are a few random pictures from Halloween!

ER

We have made a few trips to the ER this last month! It all started when Lachlynn was playing with batteries. She came into my room and told me that she swallowed a battery. She had been playing with a tiny button cell battery and put it in her mouth! I thought we were way past the stage of putting everything in her mouth. Well we called poison control and they told us to get to the hospital asap! We got there and they took an x-ray and sure enough there was the little battery sitting in her belly. Swallowing batteries is pretty dangerous and so they were going to do surgery to get it out. We stayed at the hospital for hours while they monitored her. They wanted to make sure that the battery was moving along her GI track. After a while they decided to send us home to wait for the battery to pass. That meant I was to swift through all of her poo to make sure I saw it. If the battery didn't come out in 2 days they would do surgery to get it out because the battery acids would burn her intestines. The night before we were going to have surgery we found it! Thank goodness for answered prayers!

Then just the other day Lachlynn woke up with horrible wheezing. All day when she would breath her little chest would heave. So that night I took her to insta care and they looked at her breathing and took her right back to start breathing treatments. They gave her two dosages of steroids and one steroid breathing treatment. They took an x-ray and then they told us to head to primary children's. We got there about 11:30 at night and they gave her two more steroid breathing treatments and then wanted to monitor for a few more hours. It was so sad! but they were so good to her at primary's. Her little chest stopped heaving and she was able to sleep. They said that she had a bad case of croup. They finally released her at 3:30 am. All this happened in the last few weeks! It's been crazy, but I am glad she is battery free and breathing better!

ER

1 month old!

I can't believe Victoria is already a month old! She is such a good baby! The majority of the time she is calm and happy. Here are a few facts about her...
she is finally 7 pounds
she drinks 4 ounces
she loves her binky(so glad)
she is a great sleeper, about 7 hours straight
She is still in newborn everything! The 0-3 months drowned her
she had started to smile at you when you talk to her
We all love our little victoria, especially Lachlynn. Yesterday she said to me, " Mom Victoria is my best friend".

Little Victoria

Just wanted to share some pictures we have taken the last couple weeks! That's right I said weeks, Victoria is already 2 weeks old!!!! I can't believe it.

Victoria Faye Sheppard

Well there is so much to share...
We woke up bright and early on friday and headed to the hospital to be induced. I was really nervous for the whole experience because Lachlynn's labor and birth were so horrible and scary. To my surprise it went so smoothly! They started my induction around 10 am and I labored till 6 And then got my epidural. There was a time that my dilation was at a stand still. I had dilated to a 6 and then just was not making a lot of progress. I was getting frustrated and worried. So I asked J.D. for a blessing and in the blessing he asked that my body would respond to the medication and dilate faster. I wanted my mom in the room for the delivery and so she was there the whole time with us at the hospital. Thinking we had more time till baby came, my mom left and got something to eat. Well it wasn't 20 minutes after the blessing that the dr came in to check me and said I was complete and ready to push! We were shocked!! The answer to that prayer was so fast! We tried to find my mom, but couldn't and she had left her phone in the room so she didn't have it with her. Well I pushed for about 10 minutes and she was born! My mom walked into the room literally seconds after she was born. We were all surprised that I went from being a 6 to having a baby in about 30 minutes! How grateful I am for a Heavenly Father who loves us and knows us personally.






Getting her first bath

Lachlynn got some presents that day at the hospital for becoming a big sister. We told her that this was victoria's birthday and she kept asking if we were going to have cake to eat. So on the way to the hospital my mom bought a small cake and everyone sang happy birthday to Vitoria and ate cake.

This was Lachlynn's first time seeing and holding her new sister. It was so cute she was smiling from ear to ear. She loves her.
