1st Anniversary

Today marks my first anniversary.

We went celebrating our first anniversary at Lobsterman in SS2 behind Sri Siam Restaurant. Nice cosy place and good food too. Love the lobsters there. It is a good place for a romantic dinner but a little pricey for me.... though some say that it is quite cheap. I dunno....

To start off, I remembered that hubby almost get on my nerve at least once a week. Looking back, I have no idea why did I get angry over a lot of mini minor things. Hubby had been very patient with me and tried explaining to me not to get upset with him over trival matters. Glad to say, I have now learn to control my temper more and we don't argue that much though he STILL gets on my nerves every now and then. Hehehe.... If he is reading this, I'll bet my last dollar that he'll come home and tell me "Ya lor".

Before marriage, hubby had promised me that he will bring me to overseas holidays at least once a year and a monthly local getaway that I fancy. As overseas trips goes, he had brought me to Hong Kong. He went there for a conference and I got the opportunity to tag along and went shopping on my own during the day. Then he went off to Bangladesh in which he forbade me to tag along due to my safety. However, our monthly local holiday nights went sneeking by. We didn't get to spend much overnights in local hotels cos I was too busy going back to mumsie's. There were plenty of promises made by us before marriages and most of it wasn't materialised mainly because those promises were made primarily with fantasy. They are not practical such as the promise of local holiday on a monthly basis. How naive we were then.

We have also renovated our little apartment intending it to be our getaway space. We set up our little room. We've got a bed and cupboard (his ex-furniture). The kitchen had got a stove, refrigerator and a washing machine (curtesy of Ah Yi). We went on a shopping spree to Ikea and got some shelves and other stuffs to make the little aprtment more homey. It was great! And now, it was rented out to a friend. Good thing that it was rented out to a friend. We still get to go to that apartment to enjoy the facilities and hang out.

To hubby, HAPPY 1ST ANNIVERSARY. You have taught me a lot and indeed I wouldn't be who I am today without you irritating me a year ago. We still have another 67 years of irritating each other, right?

Herpetophobia

Learn a new phobia a day. The above phobia is fear of creepy crawlies. I was trying to look for a more accurate phobia for hubi but this is the nearest that I can find. Anyone knows what is the fear of lizards called? I'll be happy to change the title.

The whole story-mory came alive yesterday when I was given the chance of an opportunity to see how afraid hubi can be of lizards. I know of another person who is also afraid of lizards but let's keep her out of this story. She knows who she is..... and she knows I know who she is. Hahaha.... you know, i know..... cukup la.

Yesterday night, as usual, I was having dinner with hubi and we were happily chit chatting away when suddenly, hubi jumps up and started shaking his pajama's pants. When, poop...... dropped a baby lizard out from his pants..... It was a funny sight! Hubi was so shocked that he jumped a good 2 feet away and both lizard and man had a stare down. Baby Lizard must be a little dizzy after being cooped up and is a lil' short of oxigen. Hubi, with his 2 fists on his chest was in shock to think that he 'gave birth' to a baby lizard!

Baby Lizard recuperates fast and soon squiggles to life. Hubi on the hand, is an old man and takes a longer time to recuperate. However, his has an overdose on adrenaline and when he saw that Baby Lizard is squirming to life, he started to stamp his feet like a small child. A sight to cherish....

Hubi, I am still proud of you even you practically froze on the sight of that small teeny-weeny-itsy-bitsy little Baby Lizard. Muackkks....

For Richer or For Poorer

Hubi had abandoned me again over the last weekend as usual. He had to go teambuilding at Jeram Besu, Pahang and left on Friday. Poor me had to eat dinner alone on Friday night and good thing Aunty Hwei Li came to my rescue and accompanied me to McD. Saturday was Pa's birthday and I had it all planned. I would go back straight after work and mumsie would be making cherry pie and we'll have beef steak and potatoes for dinner with a bottle of Martini. Scrumptious!

Saturday morning came and I got ready for work. I threw my belongings into the car boot and off I went to work. Upon reaching the college compound, I was looking for my favourite spot to park my car - right smack in front of the canteen. Only 7 lots available. I found 1 lot and quickly swerved in. I stayed on in my car listening to the radio; nice topic - He Says, She Says - Women Should Keep Long Hair. The owner of next-door car was rummaging at her back seat. She found whatever she was looking for and slammed the door and walked off. As she turned to walk off, I noticed something fell out. I took a closer look at my side mirror and there - laying on the ground was a RM50 note....

Let her go and I can take it. Finders’ keepers. No one will know. But dang.... Jiminy Cricket (Pinocchio' conscience) came whispering in my ear.... "It's not right... That could be her weekly allowance. You wouldn't want that happening to you." So, good girl me gave a light honk at her. She turned around and gave me a glare as if i was trying to hit on her.... Yo! News Flash! I'm happily married with my man, okay! Anyway, I gave her a smile and gestured to her by rubbing my thumb and index finger indicating $$$ and pointed to where it was. She saw her money; gave a light gasp; quickly picked it up and gave me a smile. She didn't even say thank you but I guess, she must have thought that was enough. That was that..... Sigh......

Then we started working - Yes! I do have a job and I do work my butt out but on that day I was pretty restless.... y'know... I'm going home after work.... where d'ya expects me to find the mood to work. Especially when boss is not in. So, we had some fun in da office. Chatting and giggling and having fun. In came Janet (our receptionist). She's a nice lady... in her late 50s. Came in to disturb me.... Her favourite past-time, disturb me in a way to insinuate a colleague she detest. Anyway, I am always good humoured and always allow her to pick on me. She IS an old lady mah..... After she had her peace in saying whatever needed to be poked at that colleague, she walked out and stopped short at the doorway. Turned around and still had a last say. When at that time, my eyes saw her RM5 note dropped out from her pockets. Dejavu!!!!! This time round, I didn't think of taking that money but called Janet and returned her money.

I would have been RM55 richer if I had taken those $$$$$. It could pay for my week's lunch or gotten myself something nice.

Question. Why is it that when a stranger drop $$$, we would not hesitate to take it but when someone we know drops it, we would not even think about taking it?

Holiday Trip

Hubi was given (courtesy of Uncle Lim - may he rest in peace) a stack of Genting vouchers some months ago and finally we managed to arrange for an outing with my buddies. Little did we know that this visit will be the last with Uncle Lim around. We found out the next day he had passed away.... Sad.

Anyway, the trip was a well deserved get away for me although I had to endure a week of un-rest as MIL wasn't really keen on her son abandoning her like that. At times, I really wonder what is wrong with me.... or is there something wrong with her.... who needs to eat medicine leh?

The view up in Genting was spectacular. It had rained and this is what I saw outside:
Later, in the evening, the clouds dispersed and out popped KL city right where the clouds have hidden them. That was a sight to behold but nincompoop me was too busy eating. When I had my fill, and wanted to take that beautiful scene, the clouds had set in again. Damn.... and it had such a clear view of KLCC and KL Tower. Sigh.... time n tide waits for no man..... *regret*
Shellie got lost in da maze...
I think the kids had the most fun as they get to go on rides and rides and rides.... Joshua had his first try on bumper car and the poor kid did not liked to be bumped.... Nick was too busy steering the wheels and made the car turn n turn but he had fun. As they say, one good turn deserves another.
Don't they looked like being locked up in cages?
However, I think there is one particular parent who truly enjoyed those rides. Taking advantage of the excuse of bringing his baby to experience her first rides. Hmm..... can u guess who??

This trip does not only celebrate my anniversary with hubi but also as a celebration of 3 schoolmate buddies since secondary days and still going on strong with consistant meet-ups. We have seen each other gone through the the stages in life; the schooling days, the young adult working and slogging years; meeting our life partners and for some, the start of a family. We had come so far and yet it just seemed like yesterday that we have left school. It is a milestone of 20 years' friendship. Okay Aunties..... let's do this again... who's next to organise?

Cool Dog

This is my mutt, Duchess. She loves wearing sunglasses especially when the sun is glaring bright.

If you look closely, you can see her eyes taking a peek above the spectacle.

Sick....

Exactly after 10 months of marriage, i was officially pronounced sick.

It all started yesterday morning when I awoke with a sore throat. As usual, I would ignore and went to work. It wasn't so bad when you are at work as you are kept occupied. After work, I had promised hubby that we will meet at IOI Puchong for dinner. I was beginning to feel cold and chilly. My palms were hot but my fingers were cold. As I didn't want to spoil our weekly galavanting, I went on window shop with hubby. We looked at some handphone models for my MIL birthday pressie which is coming soon. Then we looked for some tours for our 1st anniversary travel. By the time we are ready to leave, I was feeling bad and my whole body was aching.

On the way back, hubby remembered my sore throat and we stopped at a Chinese medical hall to get some lozenges. Hmm..... he is getting the hang of having to take care of a wife.

Upon reaching home, I quickly took my bath and dozed off. Hubby came in at about 9:30pm to do his work and I didn't even know. By about 11pm, hubby took a look at me and I was burning up. My entire body was aching..... my head hurts, my tummy is in pain, my joints are aching. By then, I was having trouble sleeping and I kept bugging hubby as I was in pain. Poor hubby..... he didn't know what to do. I didn't want to go see a doctor in the middle of the night. Finally, I asked for Panadol and popped 2 in. Next thing I know, I was knocked out. I awoke at 4:30am and was back to square one. This time, I tossed and turned till morning. Felt like frying fish and the fish was me.

Morning came and I was feeling horrible. Hubby could only stood around and kept looking at me. He didn't know what to do but asked if I needed to go see a doc. I finally gave in to hubby's pestering of bringing me to a clinic. The doctor did all the poking and prodding and announced that I had gastritis and should avoid oily food. Hubby took me to breakfast and send me home. He left for work after making sure that I take my medication.

These are my medicines:

See the white bottle. I hate that white stuffs. Hubby had the first hand in seeing me taking that stuff and he now understands why I don't like going to a doctor and taking medication. That white stuff is bleargh..... and I mean its puking bleargh.....

Well, I slept through the whole day and I feel much better after taking a refreshing cold bath.

To hubby, you did a good job in trying to make me comfy. Thanks for being there when I needed you.

Revenge Time

Wahey!!! Mumsie just called to inform that she will be going to Singapore in October. I am just dying to go with her. It was such a long time since I went holiday-ing with her.... at least not since I got married. Hmm... gotta let that hubi know that he is hogging me too much... hehehehe.....

Anyway, this is a great time to abandon him since he had abandoned me umpteen times since we were married. First, it was a trip to Bangkok. I can't follow as he was going with his boss. So, he got escaped and that is when the rest of the other trips he began abandoning me. Couple of months later, he went Pangkor Island. He went there on a team building which spells F-U-N..... the cheek of that man!!! That was a 3D2N affair and it ain't no fun for me. Immediately back from Pangkor, the next day, off he goes to Bangladesh. Another 3D2N affair. Well, since it is Bangladesh and I don't quite fancy the place. OK lar...nehmind. After that, not a month later, it's Hanoi, Vietnam. That bloke first tells me he wants to bring me along and we could visit Angkor Wat...... more like WhereGot Wat??!!! And he was off without me for 4D3N.

Haha!!! This time it's my turn..... I'm gonna go Singapore and he can stay home..... WheeHeeHee.... Moi is gonna have all the fun in Singapore and let him drool in bed. The sweet taste of revenge....... Muahahaha.........

Sigh..... however, being a wifey will always be being a wifey..... how can I abandon him...... Well, it will be an experience for him as well as for me but I guess I would have a better time knowing that I'm with mumsie...... as for him, I can only let him know that I'll miss him..... sigh.........

Comeback

Gee.... it has been a long time and now moi is making a comeback after being MIA for half a year!!!

Ahem.... a little updates is called for. Moi is now working in a private college as an admin staff and facing students as clients...... Private life goes quite hokay but is getting the usual expected quips like when are we going to distribute red eggs, pitter patter of little feet and some direct to the point "When is baby coming?". There is a friend who occassionaly would just sms "Any news?" or "Any good news?" on a monthly basis..... Gee.... the way things goes, my friends are more eager than my family members.

Y'know, wedding season is coming and so far I was bombed 3 times in this month itself. Pokai liao.......

Just last Saturday, I attended a rellie's wedding dinner at Selayang Six Happiness Restaurant. Hoho... they are gonna get it. I tell you it is a B-A-D place to have your wedding dinner. There were 2 couples who had their wedding dinner there. Guess what? The restaurant didn't even have the courtesy to have a partition for them. Kesian.... they both use the same entrance, same red carpet walkway and the same stage!!!! Not to mention cutting the same cake?!? The 2 couples had to share everything and our dinner couple was the 2nd fiddle. What a way to treat your customer and what a way to celebrate your wedding dinner!

Okee.... can't spend too much time blogging. That's all for now and I'll tell more news on my next blog and hopefully I can update my blog regularly.

Father of Time..... Not

Y'know.. for years i've been taught... Mother Nature... Father of Time... I've always have this imagination that the time keeper is an old man with an hour glass (thanks to some pictorial books that I read).

However, recently, i experience a paradigm shift. My G/MIL proved to be a better time keeper. She is quite capable of keeping time for the entire family on who is doing what at what time. Her power of observation is out of this world for a lady her age. She is 93. Man, she can be old but believe me, she can keep time. Even when she sleeps, she keeps time. She can be fast asleep but when the time comes she will wake up like clockwork. If you are suppose to be doing something at that hour... you had better be doing it or she will come nagging at ya. And if you're not done by the time you are supposed to... oh boy, you gonna get it... she'll be doing a countdown on you.

It's like... look, it's already 6:45am... you are not up yet.... it's 6:46am... n you are still in bed... hey... it's 6:50.... time to get up.... why can't you get up 5 mins earlier so that you dun have to rush.... You'd be so annoyed, you get up and hope that she'll keep quite.... but, oh no... the engine had started and she rambles on.... quick... you'll be late... go wash up.... it's going to be 7am. you still have not wash up and you have to take tea and breakfast.... and u have not even change.... you have to sleep in that extra 10 minutes dun'cha.... better hurry up.... it's already 7am.... you still hafta go poo-poo (??!??!?!) By then, you'd be so stressed thinking that you are late and rush through the morning. You are still in the house.... you will be late... you have better get going.... you gonna get stuck in a jam and you'll be late..... go put on your shoes and get going..... The way she rushes at you, you'd want to leave the house thinking that you are late. Once inside the car, you suddenly realised that you are on your way to work and the time is only 7:15am. You only take 1/2 hour to work and office only starts at 8:30am. Oh man.....

You tell yourself, tomorrow you would not get psycho-ed into this mess.... but guess what.... you still would.

Well, mah-mah (grandma), I salute you for getting me to work on time everyday without fail.

Eager Grandma In Law

CNY was here and gone. That was quick. It was my first year to "distribute" ang pow and the feeling is great. Funny how people are. When I was still single and receiving ang pows, friends and rellies were asking me when am I getting married so they don't have to give ang pows. Now that I'm married and started giving their kids ang pows, they ask me when am I going to have a baby so that they can give ang pows. Heh??? Sigh... I'm confused. These people wanna give ang pows or not?!?!

Talk about CNY and it is always food and gatherings that comes to my mind. The other day I met up with some old friends and I was drinking like a fish. That night, I had to go wee-wee a couple of times and G/MIL (GrandMa In-Law) saw me. You see, I must go pass GMIL's room in order for me to go wee-wee. Our house is an old house which was built like 30 - 40 years ago, so, no attached bathroom. G/MIL can't sleep and instead of counting sheep, she decided to count G/DIL go shee-shee. The next morning, we decided to sleep in late. G/MIL is not as senile as her age suppose to be. Her mind reels and she came up with an equation:

G/DIL go shee-shee in middle of night = Cannot hold bladder.
G/DIL sleep in late = Tiredness
Cannot hold bladder + Tiredness = Pregnant!!!
If G/DIL is pregnant = baby coming soon.
Baby = status upgraded to be Thai Ma.

Ding!!! Ding!!! Ding!!! News Flash!!! Hmmm..... let's verify with grandson.
Grandma: Kah Sou hai mm hai yow chor? (Is G/DIL pregnant?)
Granson : Mm hai yak... (Nope...)
Grandma: Mou meh?? (Really??)
Grandson: Mou ahh... (Really..)
Grandma: O... O...

Grandma must be soooo..... disappointed. There goes her chance of being a thai ma. Poor grandma.

Memories

Was fooling around in the office today. Y'know the drill... boss is not in town.

So, we started talking about Transformer the Movie that is coming in early April 2007. Then someone mentioned about how we used to enjoy cartoon in those days. Next thing we know, we were reminiscing on what cartoons we watch when we were kids. It was a walk down memory lane and brought back lots of sweet, sweet memories. Then I started to do some searches on the net (ahh.... the wonders of modern technology) on some cartoon names that I can recall.

Then I found this link which lets you download all the cartoon intros. Enjoy.....

Valentine's Day 2007

Today will be my first Valentine celebration with hubby since we started pak toh umpteen moons ago.

Since our early courtship, we have never celebrated Valentine's on the exact day. No, not that because he is a dim-wit(sometimes he is)... but because we only get to see each other during weekends. Thus, we normally celebrate our Valentine's Day together with our birthday or a weekend early. I don't quite fancy paying double ot triple for food portion that is downsized by half or thrice.

Anyway, this year we decided to have a go at it. To celebrate the much commercialised day, if not the most. As the trend goes, hubi had arranged a lomantic lunch on last Sunday at Sunway Pyramid. We went to Tony'sRoma and had a great time there eating ribs. We will still go out tonight but not to any fancy restaurants... they NEVER serve good food during festive season and prices is unreasonably high. Would rather go on normal days to enjoy the food and pay for it. Instead, we shall go to some food court or fast food joint... more comfy and you don't need to wait for hours for them to serve you dinner.

This year also marks my first year not getting hubby anything for Valentine's. I am quite crippled since my moving to the big city. I don't know where to shop for inspirational gifts. If he is reading this, BIG HINT!! HINT!! You are not bringing me out for shopping frequent enough!!!

Gotta get this out before I go off work. Plan to cabut early.... hahaha.

Happy Valentine's Day , everyone. Cheers. Hic!

2007 Personality Prediction

Ai... someone sent me a link (I forgot the link) that gives out personality prediction based on your chinese animal zodiac. Me?? I'm a wabbit..... cute n huggable.....

Anyway, below is what they predicted me to be:

Rabbits are the bunnies of the chinese zodiac. Socially, the Sign is extremely popular and has a wide circle of family and friends. Its compassionate nature leads it to be very protective of those it holds dear. Rabbits dislike arguments and other conflict and will try anything to avoid a fight.

Where romance is concerned, the Rabbit's sentimentality can lead it to idealize relationships.

The rabbit often ends up giving more of itself to a partner than is realistic or healthy. Rabbits love to entertain at home and always make sure their house is comfortable and tastefully-furnished. Being a delicate Sign they need a solid base in order to thrive. Lacking close, supportive friends and family, the Rabbit might just break down in tears at the first sign of conflict.

Intellectually, Rabbits tend to move through life's lessons at their own pace.

What Rabbits need most is a stronger sense of self-worth and the security that comes with it. Their discerning natures, coupled with some hard-won assertiveness, will help these happy creatures go far.

Direction: East

Hour ruled: 4th Hour, 5.00 am to 6.59 am
Western Zodiac: Libra
Ruling Planet: Jupiter
Lucky Gemstone: Pisces
Season: Mid Spring
Month: March
Least Compatible Sign: Rooster
Color: Pale Green
Celebrities: Frank Sinatra, Sigmund Freud, Stalin
Career: good at arts or customer relations.
Energy: Yin (Positive)
Symbolism: Life, healing, clear-sightedness, gentleness
Good traits: Wise, Calm, Gentle, Gracious, Well-Mannered, Astute, Docile, Thoughtful
Bad traits: Sensitive, Cunning, Possessive, Indecisive
Leisure: Poetry, hiking, gardening, chatting

Love Life : The Rabbit seems very reserved and aloof , yet underneath it is sensual and loving. It has a tough facade protected by a tender interior. Their mothering instinct compels them to nurture others, and they have an innate love of home and family.

Career : Rabbits have really good communication skills and are best in positions of management. The occupations best suited for the Rabbit are Medical Therapists, Doctors, Writers, Teachers, Designers, Musicians, Administrators and Fashion Designers.

Personality : The Rabbit is the fourth Sign of the Chinese Zodiac, and is a Yin Sign associated with the Wood Element. Rabbits just like to be a part of the gang as opposed to the leader of it. They can be cunning and secretive, touchy and conservative, yet at the same time diplomatic, peaceful and refined. Rabbit people are usually relatively careful when it comes to their finances.

Likes : The favorite color of the Rabbit person is pale green, and their Lucky gemstones are Crystal, Emerald and Pearl. Their likes are writing poetry, hiking, gardening and chatting with friends. Rabbits like good music, fine wines, fabrics of all kinds, and recreational art.

Dislikes : Their dislikes are sensitive people sudden change of their routines, and disorganization. Rabbits are very sensitive about their personal space and dislike the people who indulge in casual contact at the first instant.

So, what do you think?

Then I got curious. What about hubby?? He is a Rat and this is what was said about Rats...

Rats are famous for their quick silver tongue and their 'accumulate and save' mentality. Their natural charm and sharp, funny demeanor make them an appealing friend for almost anyone. Below their apparent charm, Rats are keen and unapologetic promoters of their own agendas. Self-interest is the true motivator for rats. Greed can become a problem if the Rat isn't careful to keep his/her priorities straight.

Their materialistic attitude notwithstanding, Rats often go out of their way to protect and encourage their inner circle of friends and family members.

The outside world might perceive rats as quick-tempered and sharp-tongued, but never boorish. Rats are a Sign that everyone around will quickly learn either to love or to hate.

Intellectually, the Rat's keen mind always seeks out new knowledge, to be stored away for future use. This ever-curious Sign also welcomes challenges as a way to stay sharp.

A valuable lesson for Rats is to learn to consider others above themselves, at least sometimes. If they can develop their sense of self and realize it leaves room for others in their life as well, Rats could find true happiness.

Career : Persons born under the Sign of the Rat possess prudence and perception. These skills, combined with their sense of aspiration, make them good supervisors. The occupations best suited for the Rat are Writers, Broadcasters, Actors, Advisors, Counselors, Lawyers, Politicians, Designers, Engineers, Managers, Directors, Administrators, Entrepreneurs, Musicians, Researchers, Historians, Academician.

Personality : The Rat is the first Sign of the Chinese Zodiac, and it is a Yang Sign commonly associated with the Water Element. The typical Rat personality traits are Smart, Magnetic, Well-liked, Affable, Quick-witted, Surreptitious, Selfish, Protective, and Calculating. They are very successful in the business world.

Dislikes : They dislike routines and indeed any sort of responsibility not self-inflicted. Doing without things they want, strict time keeping, any routines, being at the end of the line.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde: MIL version

This will have to be a quickie.

Hubi just told me yesterday that he has paid for the Hong Kong trip and my MIL's flight ticket has been cancelled. Yippeeee.....

Finally, the nincompoop came to her senses and decided not to follow. Instead, she was quite excited for us and told us what is nice and where to visit and such. She even recommended us to some must-eats. Gee... I suddenly have this vision of her being Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

Anyway, it's great that she is not following. I'll be leaving on this Sunday and will be back on the following Sunday. So, don't anybody miss me and I'll be back with stories to tell. Promise.

Quiz - The Clothes You Wear

Was reading Neotrax's blog and found this website http://www.quizbox.com with umpteen personality tests available.

Though I have no idea where the heck they got the basis for the results.... but who cares, right! However, this particular one caught my eyes. The Clothes You Wear. Take a look at what you like to wear. Everything you put on is a reflection of your taste, style and aesthetic sense.

I have always known that I do not have any fashion sense. Therefore, you be a better judge for me. Does the below comments describe me?

The Clothes You Wear

What others see from your style
Although to the untrained eye you may seem like a plain dresser who avoids trends, you actually wear carefully designed accessories and clothes that emphasize your uniqueness. You value your freedom and have an artistic mind. You are neither aggressive nor timid, but you believe in yourself.

What your nightclothes reveal
You are friendly and always in good mood. You are candid and helpful, and can be sexy at times too.

What others see from your ties
You are a caring people. You are romantic, witty, and easygoing. You compromise rather than confront, and love nature.

What others see from your belts
You are a lonely and demanding person. You are hardworking as well as intelligent, and can be passionate when in love.

What others see from your shoes
You're very young at heart. You regard freedom highly and don't like to be controlled by a set of rules. You don't like conflict, will compromise wherever possible, and are hardworking people. Occasionally you can become vulnerable when having to face problems, especially emotional ones.

What others see from your earrings
You are probably an independent and strong-willed person. Fairness is important to you, and you always stand up for what you believe in. You are friendly and get along well with people.

The last analysis
You are probably a clever and adventurous person. You love to learn new things, and enjoy socializing with friends. Although you enjoy your freedom, you cherish peacefulness and like to spend time alone with your thoughts.

So, what do you say? Did the test describe me accurately??

HK Here I Come.... or Not

Remember my previous blog about hubi going to Hong Kong??

Well, we finally had decided that I'm gonna go. Won't be going for a week but will join him after his conference. Planned to take leave on 2 Feb and be back on Sunday. That will give us a couple of days to roam and a chance to visiting Disneyland Hong Kong. Whoo..Hoo!!!

Everything was well-planned. I'll be going back next weekend to pack and get some warm clothing as my cousin had inform its pretty cold this time round. All was well until we told MIL. She came back with a bunch of disagreements saying that I've got a job and I have just started. I haven't got my confirmation yet??? Hallo..... I'm employed under contract leh!!!! Where got confirmation de???

Her ramblings went on. Says that last time her gwai-lo employer came here for a month without his wife and that her sister's husband went overseas for a week and her sister didn't even follow. Whoi!!! Those wifes didn't want to follow it's their own stupidity lor and moreover, just because they didn't follow... am I suppose to follow their footsteps?? Siow!!!

Hubi gave her examples of people who had brought their wifes to overseas when on duty. He even chip in that his colleagues are bringing theirs. Guess what??! She didn't like it one bit and bark back... "If Ah Sien is going, I'm coming along". Hubi was more than glad to bring her along and say that he will make the necessary arrangement for air tickets and additional rooms. The next line of answer I got back really had me stumped!!

You really wanna know what she replied. First, get yourself seated properly. I dun wanna be responsible for any mishap. Next, make sure that you are alone cos you dun want to have people around you giving you wierd looks when you burst out your expression.

Get this! Her winning reply is (drumroll please) "No need! We'll all be staying in da same room!!!"

What the..... ??!!???!?!?!??!?!

Ai.... I dunno whether to laugh or cry?

To Go or Not To Go?

Hubby came home with news yesterday. "B, I'll be going to Hong Kong end of the month, you want to come or not?"

Har??!! "U go there for wat?".

"I have conference. If u follow then we go earlier then we can go jalan-jalan. Then we come bek on 3 Feb. I have booked your air ticket. You let me know, OK."

Much as I wanted to follow, but there are things to consider:

1. I just started work wif this new Company. Started in mid October 2006.
2. Just start work, start to take days off liao - 2 weeks in Dec for my wedding.
3. Hong Kong is cold now.

If I dun go, there are also things to consider:
1. I'll be staying home alone wif my in-laws.
(Aaaaaahhhhh..... - wif both hands on cheek)
2. I'll be staying home alone wif my in-laws.
(Aaaaaahhhhh..... - wif both hands on cheek)
3. I'll be staying home alone wif my in-laws.
(Aaaaaahhhhh..... - wif both hands on cheek)

So, u guys tell me wat to do leh.

TO GO OR NOT TO GO? That is the question.

Big Boo-Boo; Happy MIL

New Year is here and I made the biggest boo-boo ever.

Felt bad to have celebrated the entry of the new year without hubby. I was bek home in Seremban alone. It was his idea. He din want to stay the nite. Had to go bek to PJ wor ... wat can I say...

Anyway, the next day, I felt pretty bad over it when he keeps calling me and tells me tat he misses me (aww... how sweet n touching). What do I do?? Took d car and went straight back to him. He was as happy as a boy getting his first Christmas present. Should have seen d smile on his face! I was bek just in time to go din-din. We went bek to d restaurant where we had our wedding dinner to complete the "un-opened" dinner table. Brought along 2 bottles of red wine. Most of them dun drink much and ended up both of us drank up. Bottoms up, pal!
We were home sober. Really!! Honest!! Okay... Okay... maybe just a teensy weensy little drunk. Heh!! Heh!! As nature wud have had it, when a couple gets high, the rest I leave it to your imagination.

Next morning, I woke up with a big surprise. MIL was suddenly the happiest person around. We had breakfast together and she was all giggly and chatting away happily. Then she dropped the bomb!!! Asked if I slept well. Naturally I answered that I did. Yer dun expect me to tell her what happened, rite..... Next thing I know, she gave me the most embarassing answer..... "Where got! He didn't disturb you meh? No ka-ka-cau-cau u, ah? Lei-kong-ler-lei (Canto: u say only la)"

????!!!! Dang!!!

Year End; New Life

Year 2006 has been a rather eventful year for me. I went thru a year of change.

Changed my job twice. Moved living quarters thrice. Seen a BNM raid. Got interrograted by BNM. Drove in KL. Got married (what have I done??!). Had the longest flight in my life (to Arlanda, Stockholm - 13 hours non-stop). Went on a cruise (Superstar Gemini). Went on a sea canoeing (gasp - thrilling).

Getting married is the biggest leap, I guess. Many friends have asked me how am I coping. Being married is not so bad. At least not as bad as I'd imagined. The worst part is missing your own family and of course the pooch. I missed the pooch most. Mainly because of modern technology, I can still called up Mumsie and talk but how the heck do u talk to my precious Duchess. Yeah, yeah, I know, some of you have heard me "talking" to her on d phone..... but that's different. Anyways, it helps that I get to go back on a weekly basis. MIL isn't too keen though. It is good to know that hubby is behind me, supporting me.

Talking about hubby, it's kinda weird to have someone sleeping by your side. Maybe because I'm so used to "owning" the bed to myself. And to suddenly hear him snore can be quite irritating. Not that I'm complaining but I'm losing my beauty sleep leh!!!!! I guess the same applies to him. To suddenly have me jabbing him with my foot. Ouch!! I guess we just need time to get used to each other and adapting to the new life.

Sigh... like I said, the year is coming to end and here I am beginning a new life.

Anyway, time's up and I'm getting ready to go home. Wishing you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR 2007.

Let's party people!!!
