11:52 am - The Emporium, in a flash of emerald light [open]
Hah! A new world to play in! Look at all the toys, walking around, lookit lookit lookit!

I wonder what some of them feel like --

Some people arrive in Reality Vanish injured, or disoriented, or panicking from the catastrophe that propelled them across the worlds. Others arrive having been searching -- maybe for hours, maybe for years -- for a place to call home, or at least 'safe'.

And then there were those who came for no reason except to say, "Because I Wanted It".

Here was one of those people.

Grinning like a fiend, iX immediately started prowling about and taking notes of all the robots and reploids and little drones and all the rest. The squishy ones, he was less concerned about unless something caught his eye.

And maybe, just maybe, he'd find another example of dear precious Father-Brother. But for now, time to prowl the shops and look at all the toys --!

11:43 am - Central District network, moving from Library to the Plaza [open]
After so much time in Reality Vanish, if it weren't for the fact that Orpheu was still unofficially keeping his nature under wraps he would have browsed through the Library's datafiles without bothering to take on any form but his base one. But habits, indeed, were hard to break ...

Five hours of reading various jewel-coloured scrolls of data (bless customized reality filters, they made generic icons so much more interesting --!), he'd found what he was looking for and slipped into the glowing neon nowherespace that linked between nodes.

In a flicker he reformed in the Plaza, glancing about at the milling navis and noting a few prog-drones scurrying about with their tasks. Time enough to wait about and see what was going on before delivering his own parcel of code --

09:07 pm - A Park, away from the crowds - [Open]
It was a pleasant, late summer day in Reality Vanish. X had come to take a walk in the park away from crowds. After a bit, he'd come across a few benches near a grassy clearing and had stopped.

After a little bit, he'd noticed some squirrels slipping out of the underbrush into the clearing to search for nuts and things in the grass. He kept still, just watching their antics for a while.

03:57 pm - Above Central District, heading towards the higher buildings [open]
The first theft had been annoying, knowing someone would break into the labs and take what wasn't theirs. The second caused some concern. But it wasn't until the third that he truly got worried. In the past week there had been five robberies at various places, robotics parts stolen each time. The blurry video file of a camera's last moments before a plasma blast reduced it to scrap put light on how serious the problem was.

The sound of the city below him meshed with his thoughts, noisy and difficult to sort out. His world was more likely then not in danger while he was stuck here. Blues had said he'd take care of things until Rock got back, but anything big actually starting up hadn't been taken into account. Plus, no one had heard from the mysterious bot since before last Christmas. Normal for him, yes, but letting them know he was still out there would of been appreciated.

And despite trying to keep things hush hush, Wily was on everybody's minds. Declared dead once before already, it wasn't hard for the people to suspect that he'd done so again and now he was about to strike. Even Rock was starting to doubt that he'd seen the crazy old man dead for himself. With Rockman unable to lift a finger to stop him, had Wily simply taken his time for this final assault?

Rock leaped over to the next building. He wasn't sure exactly why he was doing this, moving from building to building. It didn't accomplish anything, but it was better then sitting around. And he figured if he tried to go through his normal routine, he'd go insane.

11:13 am - Central District, leaving the think-tank 'sector' towards the Emporium [open]
It felt a little strange now -- oddly enough -- to be walking the streets in full armour. Ballade supposed that it might be a sign that he was starting to 'think outside the box' as they called it, but he wasn't certain.

At least he'd had a reason. His workshift at Knight Cybersciences had ended, but Doctor Cross needed to transfer materiel and data in person to another lab ... and was nervous enough that not only had he wanted to make the delivery in person, he'd privately contracted Ballade to accompany him.

Now that the extra task was finished, Ballade was making his way though Central with the intent to head for home; but he stayed armoured and ready, in case the Doctor should decided he were needed again. In the meantime, he was watching the people as he went past.

10:36 am - North Central District, a certain maid café [locked to not_god_dammit for now]
Just because he was being 'fetched' for dinner didn't mean that dinner had to be at home. Or so was Blues' reasoning in any case, when he'd gleefully pointed out the French-maid-themed café to his younger brother.

That and he knew bloody well that the temptation would be too good to resist; which was why, of course, the pair were just being seated and receiving menus.

"We'll still get back in time if Zero plans to have a fit, don't worry --"

03:19 pm - On the Beach [open]
It was just one of those evenings, really.

New people at the townhouse, and rumblings of other things; those were a part of it, certainly. But most of all, it was because it had been just over a year.

Just over a year since the battle, and his arrival in Reality Vanish; and after a year X was no closer to knowing what he should do and how he should do it than he was when he arrived. He needed some time.

For now, that needed time involved sitting on the beach, skipping stones across the waves and watching the stragglers wander the boardwalk as the sun went down.

12:01 pm - Meandering through Central District, towards the schools [open]
What the hell, people. Just -- what the hell.

That 'testing' thing had been the most pointless bit of trauma-inducing wtfery it'd been Enzan's misfortune to deal with since ... he wasn't sure when, really. While watching the pencil-pushers twitch and flutter over whether or not he even needed to be tested was a laugh riot, the test pretty much killed his good humour.

Luckily for Enzan, he tended to rebound pretty fast. Call it a survival instinct.

Registered, licensed, and ready to go, he decided that a stroll through the city's core would do him a world of good before he hit honest work-searches.

Might just stay here despite the whacked tests. It's still safer than home once I pull my last stunt.

Hell, maybe I'll apply for a teaching position. Wouldn't Murakami just find that ironic --

Whistling cheerfully, he wandered in the direction of the school as he took in the sights.

12:52 pm - The Emporium [open]
The inability to go to or communicate with the Nexus - and as a result, Gotham or any other place he got to through the Nexus - had driven Enzan up the wall for the last week. On one hand, he had focused and applied himself to his schoolwork with good results. On the other, he was going crazy.

Worrying would do nothing, and the more he stayed at home, the more tense it seemed to be. His father's fiftieth birthday came and went with no real change to the situation at hand; Shuuseki still disapproved of Enzan's current profession, Enzan still felt guilty about it, and the pressure to quit was still there. He had to get out, or go mad.

The Emporium on a weekend was as packed as ever, but at least it was distracting. Enzan found himself wandering without purpose throughout the levels, watching the people more than the stores or the merchandise. It served as a good distraction, at least.

08:48 pm - Ruins - [ Locked ]
Returning to the ruins with Harpuia, Zero felt just a little uneasy for a couple of reasons. His weapon, which he immediately drew upon entering the area, was the D Glaive and something he wasn't completely familiar with.

The other reason only because of their numbers. It seemed that two against one wasn't enough against the wraith and Zero wasn't just going to assume it had grown weaker from the last encounter.

Zero scanned the area and focused on one spot.

[ It was over there that I fought it. ]
