Bread & Butter Pudding

  • Aug. 2nd, 2007 at 12:03 PM

During the holidays, I made bread and butter pudding. It's kindda a baked version of french toast. Since Housemate S has been asking me for the recipe, I decided I'd post it up here. It's really really easy to make and is great for using leftover stale (not moldy!) bread.

No-bake Chocolate Slice

I've been experimenting again. Been meaning to try this recipe out for a while but didn't get around to doing it. But I finally did on Friday night.
It's really simple to make but tastes great! I reckon that it can pass for store bought.

Also check out my other recipes! A small but growing collecting of yummy things that are simple enough for a non-domesticated me to make.

It's a Pavlova!

What is a Pavlova? Wikipedia describes it:
Pavlova is a light and fluffy meringue dessert named after the ballet dancer, Anna Pavlova. The originator of pavlova is not actually known, and there is great rivalry between Australians and New Zealanders who both claim the recipe originated in their countries.

Been meaning to try baking it again for a while. The first time I made it was with John in Montreal. The second time was for my farm family in Arizona.
This one turned out relatively well, although, I've got to figure out a way of making it so that it doesn't crumble into pieces once it's cut.

It was Dorcas' birthday. But if you're wondering why there aren't any pictures of the birthday girl but only the pavlova... It's because I took the pictures at home and then forgot to bring the camera!

It scares me that I'm getting more and more domesticated! Very soon, I'll be Marianne Stewart minus the scandal.

Apple Pie Time!

  • Nov. 5th, 2004 at 8:03 PM
For my sister's birthday yesterday, I baked my famous apple pie. (Ting, Jo, and Jon, it's much better now, I think I've just about perfected the recipie.)

The Finished Product

Would you believe that when I first moved out to live on my own at the beginning of the year, I couldn't cook? Ha. Unbelieveale. But apple pie is actually very easy to make.
By the way, I still have some in the fridge. So if you're nice to me...
