macOS search: Find Next / Find Previous (navigate_search:[next/previous]) don't work while search text field has focus #11124
Issue DescriptionWhile using the new Find feature to search through the terminal history, I tried to use the cmd+G and cmd+shift+G default bindings for navigate_search:next and navigate_search:previous respectively. Expected BehaviorI expect that the following sequence should work: command+F , command+G, command-shift+G work to find text in the terminal history, and then navigate up and down the found text instances. Actual BehaviorI noticed that cmd-G and cmd-shift-G don't work, but if I use my mouse to change focus back into the main terminal surface the keybindings work. Reproduction Steps

Suggested patch here. Took me a bit of doing to fix it the "right" way. I could use help with the process for filing a PR |

I believe this could be the same as part of #9790 |

FYI I repro this on GTK (Linux) too (not to say that this discussion should track that too). |

Is this the discussion for getting "cmd + v" to work in the "Find" input or is that #9790 ? Looks like each discussion links to the other one 😄 |
That one's #10749 (via #11530).
