McKay's 1st Day of Preschool

McKay started VIP Preschool this fall.  The first two days were a little rough but now he loves it!  He asks me almost every morning if today is a preschool day.  He goes twice a week for two hours and it has been so good!  I asked him the other day what his favorite thing about preschool is and he told me snack time.  I asked him what he liked besides snack, his answer- when it is time to go home!  Silly Boy!  I love this guy!  It is fun to see him grow up and start to become a little bit more independent.

Labor Day

We love spending Labor Day Weekend with the Wrights!

Grandpa Bill always manages to get us a bunch of carnival tickets- thanks!  The boys' favorite ride was the merry-go-round.  I think Logan went on it at least 3 or 4 times!

Of all the places to play at Great-Grandma Wright's house the 3 boys pick the muddy, dirty ditch!  Explain that one!  It was a fun weekend spent with great family.

Cabin

We went to the cabin for a weekend and had a great time.  Marisa, Zac, and Adrian were all able to come up with us and we had a blast hiking, taking walks, throwing rocks, playing games, and eating lots of junk food!

We love Timp!  The leaves were just starting to change and it was a so pretty as we hiked to the falls.

Aunt Ris was a good sport and gave McKay a few piggy-backs when he was "so so so so so so tired!".  Logan just wanted Matt to carry him the whole way up- Matt got a good workout!

Garden

We've had an amazing garden this year!  It is so fun in the fall when everything is full and producing.  I love it!

I wanted a picture of me and the flowers so I let McKay have a shot with the camera.  He did pretty good I thought- He got me and a flower just like I told him to!

The raspberries!  I kind of have a love-hate relationship with these guys.  I love to eat them, but by the end of the season, I hate picking them!  McKay is a pretty good raspberry picker and Logan loves to eat them, so they cooperate pretty well when it is picking time.

Payson Lakes

We went up to Payson Lakes for a couple of days in August.  The lakes were so low- it was sad to see how bad the water levels are!  But the boys had fun anyways.

Little campers

Matt woke McKay up early and they went fishing one morning.  McKay only has one volume when he talks so they are at the lake early in the morning with old fishermen and McKay is over there just a talking away (none too quietly).  Then he catches a fish- escalate that voice a bit.  Then Matt reels his line in and all their is is seaweed.  McKay now is basically yelling, "I caught a fish and Daddy caught garbage!  Heha!  Daddy caught garbage!"  I hope the old fishermen were entertained!

Saturday afternoon we were supposed to have a picnic reunion but just as everyone got up there and we started to eat a crazy lightening/thunder/hailstorm hit.  We all ate as fast as we could and everyone packed up and left...but these guys weren't deterred a bit!  They were in heaven.  Cute cousins!

Random

I love those random moments that these boys just make me smile.  Most of the time I laugh and move on but once in a while I make a run for the camera to catch them.  For some reason we were on a sock kick for a while...

I walk out of the bathroom to find this- Logan with a pull-up on his head and my socks pulled all the way up his legs!

McKay fell asleep with Matt's socks on.  I love the arms behind the head and sprawled out- he OWNS that bed!

Zoo Day!

We wanted to start a tradition to do some fun family activity for each of our birthdays.  You know those things that we say would be fun to do but then never have a good excuse to plan and actually do them?  So for McKay's we went to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point.  For Matt's and mine we went to Peru (that was a little extreme, don't worry it won't happen again!) and for Logan's day we went to the zoo.  Logan loves animals and can imitate any animal noise so we thought we would love it, right?  Well not so much...  We had his birthday party the night before so he went to bed later than usual and woke up early hungry (because he didn't eat at his party- too much going on).  So obviously we started out on a bad foot.  Logan clung to Matt the whole way through the zoo.  He wouldn't let me touch him and refused to ride in the stroller.  He really wasn't that into the animals either...I guess terrible twos hit right on time for his second birthday!  Oh well, Matt, McKay, and I had a great time and Logan cried his way through it!
