3 Weeks Old

Logan is 3 weeks old now.  Time flies when your life consists of feeding, changing, chasing, and an occasional sleeping...the days all mesh together.  Logan is 6 1/2 lbs. and 20" long.  He loves to be held and thinks the world is over if you put him down.  His hair is lightening up already so I think he'll be a blondie like his Daddy.  McKay is starting to accept Logan and our new place, but we definately had a rough stretch there for a while.  McKay will run up to Logan and give him a hug and try to play with him.  The sweetest thing is McKay loves to sing "Rain, Rain go away come again another day..." and he'll start singing it to Logan when Logan cries.  Get this- 90% of the time Logan will calm right down!  It is so sweet!  Hopefully they'll still love each other and be best friends in few years.  Here is Logan at 3 weeks:

Changes

We've officially left Casper.  It was a bitter-sweet move...we made some great friends there that I am really going to miss but I am so excited to be back home close to family.  Logan is a week and a half old and the cutest little guy around (I might be a little biased).  He is an excellent baby who eats, sleeps, and cries when he has to get his diaper changed.  Although lately he thinks he has to be held all the time- we'll have to hurry and break that habit!  McKay is loving being back in Utah!  He has room to run and plenty of family around to play with.  As long as we keep McKay and Logan in separate rooms or out of throwing distance, everything is great...two kids has definately been an adventure.  I'm so grateful I've had plenty of help during all these changes.  I have been blessed with a great husband and family who've all stepped up and helped out- thanks.  My Mom came up and helped pack, chase, and rock.  It was so nice to have her help.  Everyone says the second kid doesn't have any pictures- well not here.  As I uploaded the pictures, we've taken 70 pictures in less than a week.  So here's my favorites...

McKay asked what the box was for.  Matt told him he was going to put books in the box.  McKay took off running and brought each book from his bookcase one by one to put in the box.  He was so proud to be helping pack up.  It was cute to watch.  He has quite the library so it kept him entertained for a while.

Logan Christopher Wright

The newest member of our family has arrived.  Logan Christopher Wright was born at 11:18 a.m. on Saturday August 6th.  He weighed 5 pounds 14 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long.  We are all doing good except for the lack of sleep the last couple of days.  Mckay still doesn't know what to think of Logan, but he is ready to start playing catch with him.  He thinks that it is fun to throw things at the baby.  So we hope that Logan is a quick learner and can catch everything Mckay throws his way.

We thought that Mckay had a lot of hair when he was born but Logan has a full head of thick hair.

I guess since we are in Wyoming Logan felt like he needed a cowboy mullet.  Grandpa Rowley is going to want to give him a hair cut immediately.

Waiting Game

Yes I'm still here.  Nothing to report...  One week to go!  Yah!!

I got my blog printed into a book.  I used blurb.com and really like the way it turned out.  They download your posts straight into a book and then you can go through and edit and format it however you want.  I am a little OCD so I have to reformat everything- (it would probably be a lot easier if I just learned how to use Photoshop better and make it myself but oh well)- but it has been a fun project for me to put together all our memories and pictures of our adventure here in Wyoming.  The prices were pretty reasonable too- it just depends on how many pages you have.

Hopefully next time I'll have something more exciting to share!
