IM DREAMING OF A WHITE CHRISTMAS.....IN ST.GEORGE

No longer do I have to dream about having a white Christmas in St.George...okay, okay I know it's not Christmas yet but just having it snow the last two days here has made me feel the Christmas spirit even that much more.

5. I love scary movies and the feeling of being scared when watching a scary movie until bedtime of course, it takes me awhile to get all the jitters out.

Funny Faces

My sister Maila came over the other night to take pictures of her kids for her Christmas cards. It was hilarious to see all the kids try so hard to smile on cue. After continually saying "now sit here, look here, stand here, smile big, put your hands here, don't smack your sister, and of course JUST ONE MORE TIME" the kids had ENOUGH and decided to rebel by completely exaggerating every smile. So this was the backlash we got and probably deserved for constantly coaching our kids to smile for the perfect shot.

We finally were able to get a few really cute pictures and so Maila picked these two pictures for her family Christmas cards.

Jaelyn's wink was perfect for the card because it totally captured his funny personality.

UPDATE

This past week has been so incredible busy for my family. We spent Thanksgiving in Las Vegas with my parents and had a great time, immediatly after (Thanksgiving night) we had to travel back home to get ready for a huge expo show the very next morning called Santa's Workshop held at the Dixie Center. It lasted to days from 10-6pm. We had such a great turnout and made great profit. I was lucky enough to get help from Heather, Maila, and Fiti. I have 5 parties to get ready for before Christmas and I also need to begin packing and.... I have to do all this with 3 kids and without the help of my husband. Just this week (spur of the moment)Troy moved back to Spanish Fork and is working at Steven's Henager College yet again. The economy has taken such a huge toll on Troy's business that it was necessary for us to move back. We plan on moving our family up by the beginning of January when the holidays are over with. We are so excited to move back up (Barry's here we come..ha Fiti) and can't wait to catch up with old friends. When the economy gets better...not "if" but "when" it gets better because it WILL get better, we will put our energy back into Edgemakers Concrete Solutions full-time.

We had a very busy and fun weekend. On Thursday my younger sister Maila had a beautiful baby girl, Marley Diarra Fields. She was 8 lbs. 6 oz. and is a spitting image of her older brother Jaelyn. We then celebrated Tai's 9th birthday on Saturday (happy birthday little bro.) It was such a beautiful day and we had his party at the park. There was lots of food and lots of family, and finally today we celebrated Jordyn's blessing. Troy gave such a beautiful blessing even while Jordyn cried the entire time. Our family then came together for some good grub. Thanks everyone who traveled to support us on this special day.

What a year!!!! A great historical event took place in the United States of America. I am so happy to have witnessed the first African American president be elected. I am truly blessed to live in a country that consistently breaks the barriers of racism and discrimination, what a blow! We may not all agree on politics but we can all agree that this day, was a monumental day in history.

SMORES

We had such a fun weekend with Doug and Andrea's family. We always enjoy their monthly visit to St. George. This past weekend they invited us over to their parents home for smores, YUMMY!!! The kids loved roasting marshmellows until completely black while the adults enjoyed the taste of them. Troy, Doug, and Dominic played a basketball game of 21. We ended the evening perfectly by watching the very funny movie Nacho Libre and having Root Beer floats.

Chic and Unique Boutique

The What Women Want Expo was this weekend and we got to participate in the very fun fashion show. Alyia, Jordyn, and I modeled hats, beenies, and flowers from the Chic and Unique Boutique. The pictures did not turn out very well but it's all we have. Troy and Rob also had a booth and got great exposure this weekend.

So because Troy's rim-to-rim hike was canceled this past weekend due to bad weather, we took our family to the Staheli farm. We met up with Lesina and Maila's family. We all had so much fun together and by the end of the day we reeked of farm animals. The kids were completely exhausted and so were we, which means the visit was a success!!!
